The article offers information on a physics research carried out by Amanda L. Traud and Mason A. Porter of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, to understand the visualization of communities in networks. As observed, network analysis provides powerful tools for studying interactions between a large number of entities. Various methods can be used to identify subgraphs known as communities, which are groups of nodes densely connected to each other.
