With another global financial crisis looming, it is vital that high technology small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) leverage their knowledge networks to develop internationally-competitive innovations. This includes making better use of the expertise of scientists at universities and other publicly-funded research institutions to commercialise innovations. However, there can be barriers, as well as opportunities, to achieving this. 5. Measurement and Prediction of Clinical Psychology Students' Satisfaction with Clinical Supervision.

Abstract

Clinical supervision provided within the context of field placements plays a vital role in the training of clinical psychologists. Yet there are few studies evaluating clinical psychology trainees' perceptions of clinical supervision in such placements. Students' ratings (N = 212) of the supervision they received on the Supervision Checklist (Bernard & Goodyear, 1998) over a six-year period were used to evaluate what aspects of supervision lead supervisees (clinical psychology graduate students) to feel satisfied with the supervision received on field placements. The results support the use of the Supervision Checklist and indicate that “Collaboration and Mutual Understanding” was the best predictor of overall satisfaction with clinical supervision.
