The article reports on the study conducted on business enterprises and on the adoption of technological innovations in increasing its organizational efficiency in New York. The research was done to explore and investigate the interactions between network structure, social information processing, organization similarity and absorptive capacity during its adoption of large-scale information technology (IT) system. Results showed that companies rely on such innovations to enhance their skillfulness and competitiveness. It shows that agile adoption practices can augment a company's ability to detect opportunities for innovation. It is stated that to assemble the assets, knowledge and relationships are required for IT innovation adoption.
