Abstract

The article discusses a study on the effect of landscape features on deposition of monatane ecosystems in Hunter Mountain, and Catskill Mountains in New York. It states that rates of deposition in montane ecosystems vary due to heterogeneity of mountainous landscapes, and mentions landscape characteristics that are supposed to impact deposition such as forest edges or gaps, and type of vegetation.
