Abstract

The article offers information regarding the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA). GINA mandates nondiscriminatory acts among people with genetically modified disease that restricts them from getting a job and insurances. Yet, it does not regard provisions for life insurance industry. It analyzes the effect of GINA on state laws, particularly the genetic discrimination law in New Jersey. It considers the rectification of GINA to assert anti-discrimination in life insurance companies.
