The article provides an update on the progress towards measles elimination in Nepal during 2007-2014. It cites a 13% decrease in the incidence of reported measles cases although in 2014, 81% of districts did not meet the surveillance performance indicator target of reporting at least two discarded non-measles cases per 100,000 population per year. It notes a decrease in the number of reported measles after each nationwide supplementary immunications activities (SIAs).
