The article presents a study on the intestinal parasites of 53 wild pichis Zaedyus pichiy in Mendoza, Argentina. It notes that Zaedyus pichiy is a small armadillo that inhabits in arid and semi-arid habitats of Argentina and Chile. It mentions that 53 pichis' intestinal parasites were examined and the distribution of the parasite species in the host population was evaluated. It adds that pichis' feces were studied via sedimentation and flotation techniques. It reveals that 99% of the samples examined were positive for protists and helminths. Moreover, it presents other intestinal parasites found in pichis.
