Abstract

The article discusses the study on the spatio-temporal analysis of the urban-rural gradient composition of the Mediterranean mountainous landscape of Serra San Bruno in Italy. It tells that the study uses several subsequent steps such as kernel density analysis of settlements, moving window method and analysis of composition and configuration of the urban-rural gradient. It says that this analysis is an innovative and valuable access for gradient characteristic study over space and time.
