The article presents a case study of an 18-year-old woman with trichotillomania who reacted to low-dose fluvoxamine treatment. The woman demonstrated hair loss and was evaluated with the use of Massachusetts General Hospital Hair-pulling Scale (MGHHS), a clinical hair-pulling assessment battery. The patient was regarded to have severe trichotillomania and showed a remarkable improvement in the symptoms of trichotillomania when treated with a low dose of fluvoxamine having no adverse effects.
