The authors reflect on the possibility that a public health crisis could occur after U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump assumes office in 2017, and it mentions how Republican members of America's Congress have made statements which could result in millions of Americans losing their health care insurance coverage. The U.S. Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the nation's Medicaid insurance program are examined, along with health insurance expansions.
