The station reported a decreased number of captures for Black-throated Blue, Magnolia Warbler, Northern Waterthrush, American Redstart, Common Yellowthroat and Baltimore Oriole. Decreased numbers are also seen in Indigo Buntings, Song Sparrows and Northern Cardinal.

This article presents the spring 2009 bird banding report from Patuxent Powerline Right-of-Way, one of the several Atlantic Flyway stations located in Prince George's County, Maryland. The station banded a total of 1,902 birds of 75 species. Among the birds included in the report are American Woodcock, Warbling Vireo, Philadelphia Vireo, Cedar Waxwing and Yellow-billed Cuckoo.

The article offers information on the Robbins Nest backyard station in Laurel, Maryland. The station is located on the south bank of the Patuxent River gorge five miles upstream from the Patuxent Powerline station. The front side of the station is well shaded with trees such as apple, pear and cherry as well as vines and shrubs while the back side is steep mature oak-tulip forest. The station caught almost 10 times as many birds per net-hour due to its shrub habitat.
