The article looks at the difficulties of Manitoba's First Nations aboriginal peoples, who as of May 2013 are dealing with the 2013 flood season and accusations that the First Nations are mismanaging their funding. Allegations that the Manitoba Association of Native Firefighters (MANFF), contracted by the Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) to cover evacuees' hotel and restaurant bills, is failing to pay bills are noted.
