The article offers information on the study designed to assess the cost-effectiveness of integrated multidisciplinary diagnostic facility for dementia diagnosis in ambulatory psychogeriatric patients. It states that the study was conducted due to the growing number of cases of elderly people who suffer from dementia. A total of 137 patients in Maastricht University Hospital in Maastricht, Netherlands were selected through a randomized controlled trial. Results of the study showed that the use of integrated multidisciplinary diagnostic facility is definitely cost-effective for the diagnosis, management, and treatment of dementia among the patients.
