Abstract

The article discusses a study which investigated the efficacy of a new dye called brilliant blue G (BBG) for assisted internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling for macular hole in high myopia. The patients were recruited from the outpatient clinic of Kyushu University Hospital in Japan. The BBG dye selectively stained the ILM. The morphological damage caused by subretinal injection of BBG, indocyanine green and tryphan blue is examined.
