The article presents a study that deals with the ecology and natural history of Akodon lindberghi. To gather data, 183 grass mice were marked and released at the Parque Nacional da Serra da Canastra (PNSC) and Juiz de Fora (JF) in southeastern Brazil. Findings revealed active reproduction in PNSC from August to February and the presence of juveniles from May to August. The mean body mass at PNSC was 18.1 grams while 13.1 at JF. Based on the results, the authors highlighted the role of deforestation and intensive agricultural activities in increasing the predation rate and affecting the body mass of the population.
