A method named BTREC, which is in fact an extension of tracking a radar echo by cross-correlation (TREC) method, is proposed based on the Barnes filter in this paper. BTREC is an efficient objective analysis method for smoothing the motion vectors of radar echo patterns. A comparative analysis of the BTREC vectors and the COTREC (another extension of TREC, which is restricted by the 2D continuity equation) vectors is conducted. The results show that the BTREC method corrects the noise and inconsistencies in TREC vectors (often induced by shielding, ground clutter, and rapid morphological changes of the radar patterns) more thoroughly than COTREC. Then the BTREC, COTREC, and TREC methods are applied to extrapolate the real radar echo pattern over Jiangxi Province in China for two cases (1900–2100 UTC 4 June and 0900–1100 UTC 30 June 2018). Results show that the BTREC method performs the best out of the three methods to forecast the radar echo patterns in the following 1 and 2 h, and has the least distortion. To further confirm that, 892 radar composite reflectivity mosaic images with precipitation in summer (June–August) over Jiangxi are collected to test the three methods. The results show that in the 1- and 2-h extrapolations, the mean differences of the threat score (TS), correlation (CORR), and probability of detection (POD) between BTREC and TREC are obviously more than 0, while that of the false alarm ratio (FAR) is remarkably less than 0 (the threshold to identify whether a grid is correctly predicted is set to 10 dBZ). Although the mean difference of TS, CORR, POD, and FAR between COTREC and TREC have similar variation, their magnitudes are obviously decreased (especially for the 2-h extrapolation). This further indicates that the BTREC method obviously improves the forecast of the radar echo pattern within the next 2 h compared to the COTREC and TREC methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Digital rural construction is a key strategic direction to promote China's rural revitalization and alleviate global climate problems. In order to put forward feasible suggestions for the subsequent development and ensure the smooth development of digital village construction, how to reflect the development level of the digital village through scientific and reasonable comprehensive evaluation has become an urgent problem to be solved. This paper establishes a comprehensive evaluation index system through the Delphi method and principal component analysis method, then assigns weights to the evaluation indicators based on the improved CRITIC-G1 method, and then grades the development level of digital villages according to the extension matter element method. Finally, taking Jiangxi Province in China as an example, the overall development level of digital villages in Jiangxi Province is evaluated from the provincial level according to the proposed method. And put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions. Results: Firstly, the development level of digital villages in Jiangxi Province is good, and there is a trend of excellent development level. Secondly, from different aspects of digital rural development, the digitalization of infrastructure, services, economy, and green production in Jiangxi Province is at a good level, and the digitalization of life has reached an excellent level. Thirdly, from the perspective of development trends, the digitization of infrastructure has a progressive trend towards an excellent level of development, while the digitization of services, economy and green production has signs of development regression. According to the analysis results, the relevant countermeasures and suggestions are put forward from four aspects: talent, capital, governance system and development planning. Other regions can evaluate the development level of the digital village according to the evaluation model proposed in this paper so as to analyze the existing problems and put forward targeted solutions to promote the construction of the digital village. Ecological civilization construction is an important dimension to achieve high-quality economic development. This paper evaluates the eco-efficiency improvement effect of China's ecological civilization pilot zone policy utilizing the synthetic control method (SCM) differences-in-differences method (DID) and examines the influence mechanism of ecological civilization pilot zones on eco-efficiency in the light of the environmental pollution penalty, green technological innovation, and environmental publicity and education. The study results indicate that the construction of the ecological civilization pilot zone policy has substantially boosted eco-efficiency in the pilot areas, with the strongest boosting effect on eco-efficiency in Fujian province, followed by Guizhou province, and not significantly on eco-efficiency in Jiangxi province. Further, this paper also reveals that the construction of ecological civilization pilot zones has effectively contributed to eco-efficiency through channels such as strengthening the environmental pollution penalty, stimulating green technological innovation, and broadening environmental publicity and education. The role of environment in promoting happiness has been well known, but the impact of the government's ecological environment policy on residents' happiness remains to be explored. This paper uses the first batch of pilot policies for the construction of eco-civilized cities in China (Jiangxi, Fujian, and Guizhou) as a quasi-natural experiment to empirically study the impact of ecological civilization construction in China on residents' subjective well-being. Using the data from the China Household Finance Survey and difference in difference method, we find that Chinese ecological civilization construction has significantly improved the happiness of local residents. Mechanism analysis shows that the "happiness effect" mechanism of Chinese ecological civilization construction by improving household income, health level, and the living environment of residents. In addition, the "happiness effect" of Chinese ecological civilization construction shows group heterogeneity, and ecological civilization construction plays a larger role in promoting the well-being of residents of low-asset families, urban families, and families that own their own houses. Finally, the "happiness effect" of Chinese ecological civilization construction shows regional heterogeneity, and the construction of ecological civilization has a more striking effect on improving the well-being of residents in Jiangxi province and Guizhou province. According to the authors' knowledge, the present study is the first to study the impact of China's macroeconomic environmental policies on residents' happiness, and the present study contributes to the research on residents' happiness. To show the unique charm of Jiangxi's traditional culture, it is of great importance to apply Jiangxi's unique red culture to products' creative designs. This paper aims to apply Kansei Engineering (KE) and interactive genetic algorithm (IGA) to extract the apparent symbol elements of Jiangxi red culture and then transform them into the creative watch design with modern culture. First of all, KE is used to extract customers' emotional resonance to red culture, and 16 pairs of Kansei image vocabulary pairs are preliminarily collected. The theory of semiotics is used to extract symbols such as shapes, colors, and patterns from the perspective of Jiangxi's red architecture. Secondly, through the designers' subjective aesthetic thinking, these cultural symbols are broken up and reconstructed, thus forming the morphological deconstruction table combined with the case of the watch. Finally, IGA is implemented to code and decode the cultural symbols, thus building a product form's evolutionary design system. Through biological genetic manipulation, cultural symbols of refinement, particularity, and regionality are retained. Then these superior cultural genes are integrated into the innovation of the watch to get creative products with the characteristics of Jiangxi red culture. Encouraging farmers to adopt greener and cleaner energy is crucial for reducing energy pollution and achieving carbon neutrality goals. In rural China, the decision making of farmers is often closely related to the whole family. At different stages of the family life cycle, the family has different characteristics, which leads to heterogeneity in the focus and final decision of farmers in adopting living clean energy. Therefore, this paper studies the farmers' living clean energy adoption behavior from the perspective of the family life cycle. It is helpful to identify the different policy needs and the evolution of farmers in different stages in order to provide a reference and inspiration for encouraging the adoption of living clean energy by farmers and for promoting the development of clean energy in rural areas. Based on the survey data of 1382 farmers in Jiangxi Province, this paper uses a multiple linear regression model to explore the impact of the family life cycle on farmers' clean energy adoption behavior. The results show the following: (1) The family life cycle has a significant impact on farmers' living clean energy adoption behavior, which is reflected in four aspects: energy demand, livelihood strategy, health demand and support burden; (2) Awareness of environmental ecology and frequency of government promotion have significant positive effects on farmers' living clean energy adoption behavior, while gender has significant negative effects on farmers' clean energy adoption behavior; (3) There are also differences in the influencing factors of farmers' living clean energy adoption behavior at different stages of the family life cycle. Therefore, when promoting clean energy in rural areas, a precise clean energy incentive mechanism should be adopted to treat families in different family life cycle stages differently. The Chinese government is making vigorous efforts to control agricultural pollution. The promotion of an ecological planting–breeding mix pattern is one of them. Farmers' mode of production will affect their subjective well-being. Thus, this paper aims to analyze the impact of adopting the ecological planting–breeding mix pattern on farmers' subjective well-being based on 895 pieces of survey data from the provinces of Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Using the endogenous switching regression model, we find that the adoption of the ecological planting–breeding mix pattern has a significant positive effect on farmers' subjective well-being. Based on this counterfactual hypothesis, if the farmers who actually adopted the ecological planting–breeding mix pattern did not adopt it, their subjective well-being would decrease from 4.006 to 3.669. Further examination indicates that self-worth identification, income increase, and neighborhood communication could be potential mechanisms. Additionally, the effect of the ecological planting–breeding mix pattern on subjective well-being is stronger in the group with low financial support. The technical support provided by the government does not have a significant regulatory effect on the adoption of the ecological planting–breeding mix pattern on subjective well-being. Our results suggest that farmers' ecological production behavior can affect their subjective well-being. In response to the inherent requirements of low-carbon land spatial planning in Jiangxi Province and the lack of existing research, this paper explored the mechanism of spatial form elements of Poyang Lake urban agglomeration on urban carbon emissions. Based on generalized linear regression and geographically weighted regression models, this paper analyzed the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of carbon emissions, the spatiotemporal relationship between urban form index and carbon emissions, and the spatial differentiation of the intensity of dominant factors from 63 county-level administrative units in the Poyang Lake city group from 2005 to 2020. The results showed that: ① The carbon emissions of urban agglomerations around Poyang Lake are generally increasing, and the spatial distribution of carbon emissions is characterized by high-value concentration in the middle and low-value agglomeration in pieces; ② The main driving factor for the spatial heterogeneity of carbon emissions was the expansion of built-up area; ③ Improving urban compactness and optimizing urban form could effectively reduce urban carbon emissions. The results showcased the correlation between urban spatial landscape pattern and the spatiotemporal distribution of carbon emissions, which could make the lowcarbon land spatial planning in the Poyang Lake city group more reasonable and practical. The study of the spatiotemporal evolution of regional development plays a vital role in regional coordination and sustainable development, and analyzing the characteristics of the spatiotemporal evolution of regional development in Jiangxi Province is of great significance for its deep integration into the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, and Fujian, and its active undertaking of industries in developed regions. Based on the National Polar-orbiting Partnership–Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (NPP-VIIRS)-like nighttime lighting data from 2003 to 2022, this paper explores and discusses the nighttime lighting data as an effective indicator of regional development from the perspective of Jiangxi Province as a whole, using correlation analysis and multiple linear regression. Meanwhile, the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of regional development in Jiangxi Province are explored by using spatial autocorrelation, hotspot analysis, standard deviation ellipse, and other research methods in 100 counties in Jiangxi Province. The results show the following: (1) The nighttime lighting data in Jiangxi Province shows a strong positive correlation with gross domestic product (GDP) and total population data, with correlation coefficients R2 of 0.957 and 0.896, respectively. (2) The GDP and total population of Jiangxi Province significantly impact nighttime lighting, and the regression model R2 reaches 0.983, indicating that the class NPP-VIIRS nighttime lighting data has an excellent explanatory ability for the regional development of Jiangxi Province. (3) The global autocorrelation index of nighttime lighting in each county in Jiangxi Province shows a significant positive correlation level. However, the value of this index still shows a gradually decreasing trend, indicating that the spatial heterogeneity is gradually increasing. As a whole, the hotspots in Jiangxi Province are mainly dominated by the city of Nanchang and supplemented by Ganzhou city, showing the development of two centers in the north and south. (4) The change in the trajectory of the center of gravity migration from 2003 to 2011 is also more apparent, with greater changes in the direction of regional development in Jiangxi Province. In the period 2012–2022, the direction of regional development is more stable, and the change in the migration of the center of gravity tends to be stable, indicating that the direction of regional development is clear at this stage, and there is little change in the overall direction of the economy and centripetal force. The study results provide important clues for an in-depth understanding of the regional development law in Jiangxi Province and are of some reference significance for relevant decision-making and planning. Green finance is key in supporting industries' green transformation and helping achieve low-carbon economic (LCE) development. This paper constructs an LCE development index using panel data from 30 provinces in China from 2011 to 2020. Based on the establishment of the first five pilot green finance zones in China in 2017 as a quasi-natural experiment, the synthetic control method (SCM) is applied to explore the impact of green finance policies on the level of LCE development and to analyze the mechanism and evaluate the policy effects. The empirical results show that (1) the synthetic analysis unit better fits the development trend before the implementation of the pilot. (2) After the implementation of the pilot reform, the level of LCE development in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Guangdong, and Guizhou provinces has a more significant enhancement effect, but the enhancement in Xinjiang is not significant, which indicates that the reform effect in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Guangdong, and Guizhou is significantly better than that in Xinjiang to a certain extent. (3) The samples were statistically significant and passed the placebo and ranking tests. Additionally, this paper analyzes the mechanism of policy effectiveness in terms of sci-tech innovation (STI) and energy consumption structure: green finance as a grip for economic transformation can provide financial support for regional STI and energy consumption structure upgrade and promote the capital flow to green low-energy industries, ultimately achieving sustainable economic development. In the early 1980s, to control soil and water loss in the rainy season and problems of water shortages in the dry season in the red soil hilly region of central Jiangxi, the academician team of Li Wenhua from Qianyanzhou Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences proposed a comprehensive muti-dimensional agriculture development mode known as the "Qianyanzhou Mode". Since then, models for the forest-livestock-food ecosystem, forest-fruit-economy ecosystem, and land-water compound muti-dimensional system and others have been tested, demonstrated, promoted and used to solve major issues in ecological restoration and agricultural production. With the dawn of the new era, the Qianyanzhou Mode is being given new connotations. In order to reduce the use of pesticides and eliminate the use of antibiotics for improving the quality of agricultural products, increasing farmers' income, and assisting in strategies for rural vitalization, Qianyanzhou Station is currently focusing on the development of experiments and demonstrations of green agricultural development modes, such as forest-fruit-fowl, hybrid paper mulberry-pig-fruit, grass-sheep(cattle)-fertilizer-fruit, hybrid paper mulberry-fish-goose, paddy-shrimp, and others. The goal of this new effort is to apply the wisdom of Qianyanzhou to the construction of the ecological civilization, including ecological environment protection and the prosperity of farmers in the old revolutionary base areas in central Jiangxi Province. This study aims to improve the level of water ecological civilization (WEC) in the urbanization process based on the data of prefecture-level cities in Jiangxi, China, from 2011 to 2020. This paper applies spatial analysis methods such as the natural fracture method, barycenter transfer model, and standard deviation ellipse method to explore the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of WEC and the impact of new urbanization (NU) on WEC. The NU pilot construction is further regarded as an exogenous impact, and the "net effect" of the NU pilot policy on WEC is tested. The results showed that (1) the spatial distribution pattern of the east–west polarization of WEC was broken, and a spatial distribution pattern of strong in the north and weak in the south was gradually formed. (2) NU contributes to improving the WEC level, among which population, digital, and green urbanization can significantly promote the WEC level, while economic urbanization impedes the improvement of the WEC. This conclusion is still valid following a series of robustness tests. (3) heterogeneity analysis showed that the impact of NU in improving the level of WEC is more evident in cities with scarce water resources, non-resource-based cities, and non-old industrial base cities after the implementation of NU planning. (4) NU's pilot policy can help improve the WEC level in the region and the WEC level in neighboring regions through the spillover effect of policy. Therefore, it is necessary to make use of the superimposed effect of multidimensional urbanization based on urban characteristics, implement differentiated policy, break administrative barriers, make use of the spatial spillover effect of pilot policy, and improve the WEC level. Based on the survey data of 414 large grain farmers in 11 counties and cities in Poyang Lake District of Jiangxi Province, this paper used structural equation modelling (SEM) and hierarchical regression method to explore the relationship between risk perception, information acquisition, human capital and meteorological disaster adaptive behaviour of large grain farmers. This paper focuses on the mediating role of information acquisition in risk perception and adaptive behaviour and the moderating role of human capital in information acquisition and adaptive behaviour. The results show that the risk perception of large grain farmers has a significant positive effect on their information acquisition and adaptive behaviour. Information acquisition ability of large grain farmers has a significant positive effect on their adaptive behaviour, and there exists a mediating effect between risk perception and adaptive behaviour; the human capital of large grain farmers does not play a moderating role in the impact of risk perception on information acquisition, yet has a significant positive moderating effect on the impact of information acquisition on adaptive behaviour. The results reveal the mechanism of meteorological disaster adaptive behaviour of large grain farmers and its influencing factors, which can be used as a reference for the government to make relevant policies. This paper uses a combination of EDXRF and LA-ICP-MS to analyse the chemical components including major elements and REE composition of the accompanying celadon from four different periods of tomb at the Yutu Hill burial complex on the Xunyang city site for sourcing their provenance. The combination of the two analytical methods not only provides additional data and information to explore the provenance of the accompanying celadon in the burials, but also validates the data's accuracy. A comparison with the chemical composition of the products from several kiln sites producing celadon revealed that burials from the Eastern Han period (25–220 A.D) to the Tang dynasty (618–907 A.D) included celadon from the Hongzhou kiln, indicating the connection between the Xunyang city site and the Hongzhou kiln during these two periods. In addition, the REE composition of the accompanying celadon in tombs from the Six Dynasties (222–589 A.D) and the Sui dynasty (581–618 A.D) is very similar to that of Yue kiln celadon, despite their strikingly different appearance and shape. This paper deduces, based on the previous distribution of Yue kiln products in the Jiangxi region, that only the upper classes collected Yue kiln products during the initial period of their entry into Jiangxi during the Jin dynasty (266–420 A.D), but that during the later period of the Six Dynasties, the commoner classes also began to collect Yue kiln products. Amidst efforts to fulfill the Chinese government's education guide for morality building and character cultivating, curriculum ideology and politics have emerged as key aspects in higher education pedagogy. English linguistics, a staple for junior English majors and often perceived as theoretical and challenging, represents an opportunity to align with national education directives. This study explores the integration of ideological and political education within the English major's curriculum, specifically within an English linguistics course. This paper details an empirical case study conducted in a local Jiangxi university in China, where an "ideological education + linguistics" teaching model was carefully crafted and implemented in the introductory linguistics session. Methodologies included classroom observation, post-lesson questionnaire and interview, revealing enhancements in student engagement, understanding of linguistic concepts, and scientific and logical reasoning. Additionally, noteworthy improvements in teaching methodologies were reported. The findings affirm the model's feasibility and effectiveness in reinforcing the curriculum ideology and politics in major disciplines, suggesting a beneficial tripartite impact on national educational goals, student learning, and teaching innovation. Research significance indicates that by applying their experiences, front-line teachers can act as researchers, enhancing the implementation of educational research; besides theoretical studies, micro case studies are essential to validate and complement educational research, thus contributing to the development of a comprehensive theoretical framework. Based on 491 farmers joining in cooperatives microscopic data in Jiangxi Province,the paper uses Ordinary Least Squares to test the influence mechanism of cooperative green production on green performance, and takes environmental regulation as a regulatory variable to explore the relationship between cooperative green production and cooperative green performance. The results have shown that: (1) The green production cooperatives have a significant positive impact on their green performance, and the impact of green production on economic performance, social performance and ecological performance gradually strengthens from weak to strong; (2) Environmental regulations have a positive regulatory effect on the relationship between cooperative green production and cooperative green performance, among which three types of environmental regulations, namely, incentive, restraint and guided, can strengthen the positive relationship between green production and green performance. The generation of acid mine drainage (AMD) characterized by high acidity and elevated levels of toxic metals primarily results from the oxidation and dissolution of sulfide minerals facilitated by microbial catalysis. Although there has been significant research on microbial diversity and community composition in AMD, as well as the relationship between microbes and heavy metals, there remains a gap in understanding the microbial community structure in uranium-enriched AMD sites. In this paper, water samples with varying levels of uranium pollution were collected from an abandoned stone coal mine in Jiangxi Province, China during summer and winter, respectively. Geochemical and high-throughput sequencing analyses were conducted to characterize spatiotemporal variations in bacterial diversity and community composition along pollution groups. The results indicated that uranium was predominantly concentrated in the AMD of new pits with strong acid production capacity, reaching a peak concentration of 9,370 µg/L. This was accompanied by elevated acidity and concentrations of iron and total phosphorus, which were identified as significant drivers shaping the composition of bacterial communities, rather than fluctuations in seasonal conditions. In an extremely polluted environment (pH < 3), bacterial diversity was lowest, with a predominant presence of acidophilic iron-oxidizing bacteria (such as Ferrovum), and a portion of acidophilic heterotrophic bacteria synergistically coexisting. As pollution levels decreased, the microbial community gradually evolved to cohabitation of various pH-neutral heterotrophic species, ultimately reverting back to background level. The pH was the dominant factor determining biogeochemical release of uranium in AMD. Acidophilic and uranium-tolerant bacteria, including Ferrovum, Leptospirillum, Acidiphilium, and Metallibacterium, were identified as playing key roles in this process through mechanisms such as enhancing acid production rate and facilitating organic matter biodegradation. Using a shape model (SM) is a typical method to determine the phenological phases of crops with long-time-series satellite remote sensing data. The average AGDD-based shape model (AAGDD-SM) takes temperature into account compared to SM, however, the commonly used daily average temperature is not sufficient to determine the exact AGDD owing to the possibly significant changes in temperatures throughout the day. In this paper, a modified shape model was proposed for the better estimation of phenological dates and it is incorporated into the continuous AGDD (CAGDD) which was calculated based on temperatures from a continuous 24 h within a day, different from the calendar day or the average AGDD indicators. In this study, the CAGDD replaced the abscissa of the NDVI growth curve over a 5-year period (2014 to 2018, excluding 2015) for a test site of early rice in Jiangxi province of China. Four key phenological phases, including the reviving, tillering, heading and anthesis phases, were selected and determined with reference to the field-observed phenological data. The results show that compared with the AAGDD-SM, the method proposed in this paper has basically improved the prediction of each phenological period. For those cases where the average temperature is lower than the minimum temperatures (K1) but the effective accumulated temperature is not zero, more accurate AGDD can be calculated according to the method in this paper. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the interest conflicts and strategy evolution process of various stakeholders in the process of homestead withdrawal, to reveal which key factors can balance the interests of all parties. Design/methodology/approach: The authors developed an evolutionary game theoretical framework for homestead withdrawal in Yujiang District, Jiangxi Province, China. The authors compared the dynamic process of strategy change in different situations based on system dynamics. Findings: Compared with indirect external factors, direct economic factors, such as increasing compensation standards or increasing fines, are more likely to encourage peasants to withdraw from their homesteads. The dynamic subsidy strategy can increase the probability of peasants withdrawing from their homestead. Additionally, awarding officials with promotions can effectively encourage local governments during the process. This paper adopts a blockchain fusion neural network algorithm to conduct an in-depth study on the model of agricultural cold chain coordination. We aim to enable HDFS to meet the demand of storing many small files of various types generated by various stages of agricultural cold chain coordination and then propose an improved balanced merging and index caching strategy based on file types and size grouping. The main three modules are the file preprocessing module, file balanced merging module, and index caching module. The experimental results show that this method can significantly improve the overall performance of HDFS when storing and reading large amounts of small files. Simulation experiments using the UCI test dataset show that the improved spectral clustering algorithm not only reduces the error rate but also significantly reduces the time spent on the clustering process, demonstrating the effectiveness and feasibility of the improved spectral clustering algorithm. The improved spectral clustering algorithm of this paper is used to cluster and analyze nearly one thousand cold chain coordination-related data, and the optimal city is successfully selected as the construction point of a large cold storage transit station. This study can effectively improve the efficiency of cold chain coordination resources and their time utilization and maximize the profit creation for cold chain coordination enterprises, selecting data features for prediction, experimenting with different models and parameters to optimize accuracy, and embedding the resulting learning system for prediction and further operations. The two models of coordination market demand forecasting models and methods are analyzed separately. Finally, after analyzing the prediction results of the two different prediction methods, it is found that it conforms to the actual situation of coordination development in Jiangxi Province. Drought is a disaster that seriously constrains economic development and endangers human life. This paper explores the potential of Global Navigation Satellite System Reflectometry (GNSS-R) for drought monitoring, using Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) data to monitor drought in Jiangxi and Hunan Provinces, China, in 2022. This study applies the Random Undersampling Boosting (RUSBoost) algorithm to detect waterbodies and linear regression to retrieve soil moisture (SM). Result shows that drought in September was heaviest, with the area of Poyang Lake in Jiangxi and Dongting Lake in Hunan decreasing by 70.2% and 76.9%, respectively, compared to that in June. The variation in retrieved SM shows that the Poyang Lake Plain and Jitai Basin in Jiangxi and the Dongting Lake, Yuanjiang River, and Xiangjiang River basins in Hunan suffered from the most serious drought. The variation in retrievals shows high consistency with various reference datasets, including Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) SM data and vegetation condition index (VCI). The correlation coefficient between retrieved SM and VCI is 0.93 in Jiangxi and 0.94 in Hunan. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In areas with complex hydrogeological conditions, the tracer test method is often used as an effective means in hydrogeological surveys. According to the results of tracer tests, hydrogeological parameters, including hydraulic gradient and permeability coefficient, fracture network leakage passages and their scale, and groundwater flow rate and direction can be quantitatively determined. This paper takes the upper reservoir of Yongxin Pumped Storage Power Station in Jiangxi Province as the research object, and focuses on the complex hydrogeological conditions of the upper reservoir. Three sets of tracer tests and multiple sets of single-hole flow rate and direction tests were conducted on the left and right banks of the reservoir and near surface gullies. The results showed that ZKS18 received tracers in all three tests, which indicates a close hydraulic connection between ZKS18 and the left bank, right bank, and surface gullies within the reservoir. Based on the single or multiple peak values of the tracer, it was determined that there are 1–6 leakage passages in the fractured rocks, with leakage passage sizes of 0.1–0.4 mm. According to the single-hole flow rate and flow direction tests, a self-developed instrument was used to determine the groundwater flow rate and flow direction at different depths in the test holes, which yielded results that were basically consistent with the results of the three-hole method. These results provide a basis for the use of tracer tests in hydrogeological surveys for water conservancy and hydropower engineering, and anti-seepage design of upper reservoirs. Regional tourism needs to respond positively to the "carbon peak and neutrality" target, and the key and most difficult aspect is the prediction of carbon emissions. In this paper, the total carbon emissions of the tourism industry in Jiangxi Province from 2000 to 2019 are calculated by using terminal consumption and the tourism development coefficient. The factors influencing the carbon emissions of the tourism industry are studied by means of logarithmic mean weight Divisia index decomposition (LMDI), and the timing of the tourism industry carbon peak is predicted by combining the extensible random environmental impact assessment model (STIRPAT) and scenario analysis method. The results show three key aspects of this system. (1) In the historical period, the carbon emissions of the tourism industry in Jiangxi Province increased from 71.365×104 t in 2000 to 2342.456×104 t in 2019, with an average annual change rate of 21.09%. The scale of tourism investment was the most important factor affecting the carbon emissions of tourism industry in this period. (2) The main factor that will affect the change of tourism carbon emissions in Jiangxi Province in the future is the carbon emission intensity, and its influence coefficient reaches 0.810. The degrees of influence of tourism income, tourism number and tourism investment follow in sequence. (3) The peak time of carbon emissions from tourism in Jiangxi Province varies under different scenarios. In the baseline scenario, it is estimated to be around 2035, and the average annual change rate will be –0.88%. In the medium- and low-carbon scenarios, the peak carbon emissions will be realized around 2030 and 2025, with the average annual change rates being –1.11% and –1.58%, respectively, indicating that the government's low-carbon policy will have an impact on the carbon emission intensity of tourism and promote the tourism industry in Jiangxi Province to advance by 5 to 10 years. This study provides a theoretical basis for allowing regional tourism to achieve its carbon peak in advance, which supports the prediction of the whole country's "carbon peak and neutrality", and also provides a measurement basis for the realization of carbon neutralization in tourism. Agricultural productive services can increase grain output and farmers' incomes, promote agricultural production efficiency and break the constraints of agricultural environmental resources. In practice, China's agricultural productive services are developing, and the use of agricultural machinery in rice planting is not sufficient. The employment rate of machinery in farming and harvesting is high, but the employment rate of machinery in seedling raising, planting, fertilization, and pesticide spraying is very low. This paper takes rice farmers in Jiangxi Province of China as the research object, uses 647 survey data of farmers in nine counties of Jiangxi Province, constructs a logistic-ISM model, first identifies the influencing factors of rice farmers' adoption of agricultural productive services, and then analyzes the hierarchical structure of each influencing factor. The results indicate that: (1) among the seven significant influencing factors of rice farmers' adoption of agricultural productive services, agricultural income rate and rice planting area are the deep-rooted factors; (2) the social identity of the household head, the risk preference of the household head and the understanding degree of the social service subsidy of agricultural machinery are intermediate level factors; and (3) the age of the household head and the number of agricultural laborers in the family are the direct factors. Based on the significance analysis of the influencing factors of rice farmers' adoption of agricultural productive services, this paper puts forward policy suggestions to strengthen policy publicity, enhance the level of farmer policy cognition; encourage the transfer of labor force and reasonable allocation of family agricultural labor force; encourage land transfer and expand the scale operation of rice; we should guide farmers reasonably and give full play to their professional advantages. A series of revitalization policies (RPs) have been implemented in China's Old Revolutionary Areas (ORAs). Evaluating the impact of these RPs is of paramount importance for refining policy design and achieving the goal of common prosperity. This study focuses on the ORAs in Gannan (ORAG) and employs the Propensity Score Matching Difference-in-Differences (PSM-DID) method to assess the effects of the RPs from two perspectives: stimulating economic growth and increasing farmers' income, utilizing county-level data spanning from 2006 to 2019. The findings of this study reveal that while the RP restrains the growth of per capita GDP in ORAG, it significantly promotes the growth of farmers' income. Moreover, it plays a crucial role in reducing the income gap between ORAG and Jiangxi Province, thus promoting the common prosperity of farmers in ORAG. A detailed examination using quantile regression shows that the RP has a significant and consistent negative impact on GDP per capita GDP at different quantile points. At the same time, it has a significant positive effect on increasing farmers' income at the 25% quantile point, effectively reducing income inequality among farmers at all quantile levels. The mechanism analysis shows that the RP has stimulated increased government investment in ORAG, leading to an increase in farmers' incomes and a reduction in income disparities. However, the study also highlights the existence of a "policy trap" that has hindered the RP's effectiveness in ORAG. The empty-space subsequent filling mining method is the main mining scheme for underground metal mines to achieve large-scale mechanized mining. The stage height, one of the main parameters of this method, affects the various production process aspects of the mine and influences the stability of the goaf. In order to determine the stage height scientifically and rationally in the empty-space subsequent filling mining method, a formula for the stabilized critical safe height of a high goaf in an underground metal mine was derived based on Pu's arch equilibrium theory, Bieniawski's pillar strength limit theory, and the Kastner equation and combined with the results of an orthogonal analysis to rank the importance of the main factors in the formula. A copper mine in Jiangxi Province was used as a case study, with the reliability of the formula verified by numerical simulation and industrial testing. The factors in the formula influencing the critical stabilized safe height of the goaf were, in descending order, the compressive strength of the rock body, the width of the two-step mining pillar, the width of the one-step mining room, the mining height, and the depth of mining. Based on the calculation results, the recommended stage heights are 30 m (−378 m middle section) and 25 m (−478 m middle section) in the area of poor rock body stability and 50 m in the area of better rock body stability. The simulation results show that the goaf is significantly affected by the compressive stress under the condition of a certain rock body stability and that the compressive stress increases with increasing goaf height. The minimum recommended values of the sidewall safety coefficients in areas of poor and better rock stability are 1.04 and 1.06, respectively. The volume deviation coefficients of the three industrial test mines were all controlled within 3%, indicating that no obvious collapse and destabilization phenomenon occurred in the goaf. Rapeseed is an essential oil crop in China. Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi provinces in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River are the main planting areas, which account for more than 42% of the total planted area of rapeseed in China. The area has more than 3467 ha of winter fallow field, with massive potential for utilization. The total mechanization rate of rapeseed tillage, seeding and harvesting in the 3 provinces is higher than national average. Still, the uneven development, insufficient utilization of idle fields in winter, low levels of mechanization and intelligence, are technical bottlenecks for improving whole mechanization. This paper analyzes the basic situation and existing problems of the rapeseed industry in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, combing tillage, seeding, harvesting key aspects of mechanization and intelligent technology, and gives the technical routes of the whole process of rapeseed production that could be promoted. Meanwhile, a comparative analysis of the technical characteristics and difficulties in promoting the application of the "tillage, seeding and harvesting" aspects of rapeseed production was carried out. Development trend of rapeseed production technology mode is semi-mechanized, mechanized to intelligent in the winter fallow fields. The technical development paths of each link are discribed as "anti-blocking, anti-sticky, anti-tangle, and high-speed, efficient, low consumption" mechanized tillage. Integrated tillage and seeding technology to complete multiple working procedures simultaneously. High efficiency, low consumption and low loss of rapeseed mechanized harvesting technology should be combined with harvesting and two-stage harvesting synergistic development. The mechanization technology of feeding, vegetable and fertilizer and the critical technology of intelligent rapeseed production should also be developed and applied simultaneously. To test the relationships of stochastic dominance, this paper firstly proposes two new consistent K-S-type statistics based on a quantile rule. Then, we consider their asymptotic properties. We introduce the bootstrap method to calculate the p-values of our proposed tests and use the Monte Carlo method to compare the power of our proposed test with the DD test and the BD test. The simulations showed that our test performed better than these two tests. Finally, we applied our proposed tests to compare the visibility of four provinces in China and compared the effects with the DD test and BD test. The empirical results showed that the conclusions of our proposed method are more-consistent with the dominance relationships of the four provinces. For a given significance level, the results of our proposed test demonstrate that the visibility of Jiangxi province is the best. The next one is the visibility of Hubei province, which outperforms the visibility of Anhui province. The visibility of Hunan province is the poorest. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to improve the identification accuracy and shorten the analysis time of poor households in poverty alleviation, this paper studies a logistic regression analysis algorithm of targeted poverty alleviation based on mobile big data. Based on the theories related to big poverty alleviation data, Apriori algorithm is used to mine the basic information of households collected through mobile network based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory. A multi-dimensional item data of poverty detection is obtained by analyzing the frequent itemsets of association rules in poor areas, and the poverty characteristics of poor areas from different dimensions are analyzed. Taking the big data platform of targeted poverty alleviation in Jiangxi Province, China, as an example, the economic assistance data is selected and sent into the k-means algorithm to cluster by taking the village as the unit. Then, combined with the correlation of poverty characteristics, the abnormal phenomena in poverty alleviation are found, and the effectiveness of the targeted assistance to poverty alleviation target areas is analyzed. Based on nonlinear logistic regression, the identification model of poor households is built, and the Spark frame is used to extract, transform and read the characteristics of samples respectively. Finally, the poor households are identified with the logistic regression algorithm. Experimental results show that the average recognition accuracy of poor households reaches 92%, and the mining time of poverty feature analysis is only 18 s, which improves the efficiency of data analysis than current algorithms. Protecting and improving the quality of cultivated land is important to agricultural modernization. Based on data from a survey of 706 rice-growing households in Hunan, Jiangxi and Jiangsu, this paper uses the Probit model, CMP method and Biprobit model to systematically analyze the impact of agricultural socialized services on farmers' cultivated land quality protection behaviors. This study finds that agricultural socialized services have a significantly positive impact on the adoption of soil testing formulas and straw returning technology among farmers, which can improve both the probability and the degree of cultivated land quality protection. The heterogeneity test results suggest that agricultural socialized services provide a higher incentive for the older generation of farmers to adopt arable land quality protection. In addition, we found that agricultural socialized services are more conducive to the protection of contracted land than transferred land. Therefore, we recommend that policies on agricultural socialized services be further implemented, the supply of agricultural socialized services be optimized, and the role of service organizations in publicizing and promoting cultivated land protection techniques be brought into play. We also posit that the simultaneous encouragement of farmers in using agricultural socialized services would protect the quality of cultivated land. Purpose: This paper investigates the relationship between plot size and fertilizer use efficiency (FE) in Chinese large-scale farming and searches for the underlying mechanisms that explain this relationship. Design/methodology/approach: Based on a household- and plot-level data set of large-scale production units (LSPUs) from Jiangsu and Jiangxi Provinces, the technical and fertilizer use efficiency of large-scale rice production is estimated by applying a translog stochastic frontier production function. The authors impose a monotonicity condition on the translog frontier using a three-step procedure to get theoretically consistent efficiency estimates. A beta regression model is then used to explore the association between plot size and LSPUs' efficiency in fertilizer application. Findings: The average FE for the sampled plots is around 30%, which shows a large potential for LSPUs to reduce fertilizer use. A U-shaped relationship is observed between plot size and FE. The authors relate this non-linear pattern to the substitution of labour with capital-intensive technology and the efficiency differences in terms of farming performance between family and hired workers. Originality/value: First, according to the authors' knowledge, this paper is a first attempt to study the size–efficiency relationship focussing on fertilization practices of large-scale farming. The second contribution lies in the large-scale ranges of the plot-level data set. Third, efforts are made to reveal the mechanisms determining the plot size–FE relationship. Fourth, the authors provide guiding evidence for policymaking, as they show that the size of individual plots deserves equal attention in land consolidation decisions. As a traditional and popular dietary supplement, lotus rhizome starch (LRS) has health benefits for its many nutritional components and is especially suitable for teenagers and seniors. In this paper, the approximate composition, apparent amylose content (AAC), and structural characteristics of five LRS samples from different regions were investigated, and their correlations with the physicochemical properties of granular and gelatinized LRS were revealed. LRS exhibited rod-shaped and ellipsoidal starch granules, with AAC ranging from 26.6% to 31.7%. LRS-3, from Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province, exhibited a deeper hydrogel color and contained more ash, with 302.6 mg/kg iron, and it could reach the pasting temperature of 62.6 °C. In comparison, LRS-5, from Baoshan, Yunnan Province, exhibited smoother granule surface, less fragmentation, and higher AAC, resulting in better swelling power and freeze-thaw stability. The resistant starch contents of LRS-3 and LRS-5 were the lowest (15.3%) and highest (69.7%), respectively. The enzymatic digestion performance of LRS was positively correlated with ash content and short- and long-term ordered structures but negatively correlated with AAC. Furthermore, the color and network firmness of gelatinized LRS was negatively correlated with its ash content, and the retrograde trend and freeze-thaw stability were more closely correlated with AAC and structural characteristics. These results revealed the physicochemical properties of LRS from different regions and suggested their advantages in appropriate applications as a hydrogel matrix. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents a study of a newly discovered pollucite-lepidolite-albite granite (PLAG) in the Himalayan leucogranite belt, which marks the first occurrence of pollucite, a major cesium silicate mineral, in the Himalayan orogenic belt (China). The rock appears at the northern part of the Gyirong pluton, coexisting with the tourmaline-bearing two-mica granite (TMG). Primary rare-metal minerals include lepidolite (Li), spodumene (Li), pollucite (Cs), cassiterite (Sn), and microlite (Ta). Micas, mainly lithian muscovite to lepidolite, contain 4.07 wt.% Li2O and 0.76 wt.% Rb2O on average. The average Li2O content of the spodumene is 7.95 wt.%. Pollucite not only has an average Cs2O content of 34 wt.%, but also has an elevated Rb2O content of about 0.16 wt.%. Notably, this granite attains industrial grades for rare metals, specifically with Li2O, Rb2O, and Cs2O contents of 0.49–1.19 wt.%, 0.12–0.24 wt.%, and 0.69–2.33 wt.%, respectively. Dating results of magmatic accessory cassiterite and monazite indicated that the PLAG was formed at 19–18 Ma, slightly later than the TMG (22–20 Ma) of the Gyirong pluton. Thus, these two types of granites may form within the same magmatic system considering their pulsating intrusive contact, formation ages, and whole-rock and mineral chemical compositions. Furthermore, the abundant presence of pollucite suggests that the PLAG experienced high degrees of magmatic fractionation. In comparison to the Pusila spodumene pegmatite in the Himalaya and the Yashan topaz-lepidolite granite in Jiangxi, South China, the Gyirong PLAG exhibits different whole-rock and mineral compositions, resulting from differences in source materials and fractionation processes. Notably, the difference in fluorine (F) content may determine the degree of rare-metal element enrichment. The discovery of Gyirong PLAG highlights multiple stages and types of rare-metal mineralization in the Himalayan leucogranite belt, which is controlled by the South Tibetan Detachment System. The Cs-bearing geyserite deposit exposed along the Yarlung-Zangbo River, together with Himalayan leucogranites, constitutes two systems of rare-metal elements migration and enrichment. These two systems reflect the interaction among Earth systems across time and space, emphasizing how the Himalayan orogeny controls mineralization. As a result, the Himalayan leucogranite belt has considerable prospecting potential for cesium and rubidium resources and may be a crucial area for future exploration and resource utilization. The establishment of the territorial spatial plan system is an important space reform act to meet the new era in China. The reform of territorial spatial plans according to classification is in line with the characteristics of China's current territorial spatial administration and urban development. At present, China's provincial and municipal territorial spatial plans have been publicized, and county-level territorial spatial plans are being approved one after another, while the compilation of township-level territorial spatial plans is being carried out in an orderly manner. In this paper, based on the historical background of the establishment of territorial spatial plan system integrating "multiple plans", the background of territorial spatial plans and the important role of county-level territorial spatial plans were first elaborated, and then the progress of the compilation of county-level territorial spatial plans in Jiangxi Province was sorted out. Finally, the problems existing in the compilation were discussed, and corresponding suggestions were put forward to provide a certain reference for the construction of a scientific and reasonable territorial spatial plan system. The most serious heavy precipitation in the past 43 years occurred over Fujian‐Jiangxi region from late May to early June of 2006, causing significant economic losses. Using the ERA5 reanalysis database and daily precipitation collected at 2,479 surface meteorological stations in China, the present study investigates the relationship between the heavy precipitation over Fujian‐Jiangxi region in late spring‐early summer of 2006 and baroclinic wave packets in the upper troposphere. Information flow between the two systems has been diagnosed. Results indicate that different from the disturbance source for Meiyu in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangzi River, the disturbance source for this heavy precipitation originated from areas near the Syrian Desert to the north of the Arabian Peninsula and propagated along the northwest‐southeast direction, reaching Fujian‐Jiangxi region 4 days later. This kind of baroclinic wave packets provide the necessary energy for the occurrence and persistence of heavy precipitation. Analysis of wave activity flux vectors indicates that during the heavy precipitation period, disturbance energy was transported from the upstream westerly belt to Fujian‐Jiangxi region almost every day. Obviously, there existed information transfer between the two regions, re‐confirming that the upstream Rossby wave packets affect the Fujian‐Jiangxi precipitation. The above results provide helpful hints for a better understanding of the mechanisms for heavy precipitation in this region and will be helpful for its effective prediction. Plain Language Summary: In the late spring and early summer of 2006, the strongest precipitation occurred in Fujian‐Jiangxi in China from 1979 to 2021 at the same time. It is of significance to study the causes of such extremely heavy precipitation events to predict future similar events in advance to reduce casualties and economic losses. Atmospheric motions could be regarded as wave motions, and Rossby wave is one of the major atmospheric waves. Multiple Rossby waves together could be simply regarded as Rossby wave packets (RWPs). In this paper, we have used as many methods as possible to find whether RWPs have influence on precipitation and how. A large amount of evidence shows that RWPs have significant influence on this extreme precipitation, especially by providing energy. Four days before the beginning of the heavy precipitation, RWPs began to spread from near the Syrian desert to Fujian‐Jiangxi region. Moreover, a new mathematical method is used to prove that there is a causal relationship between wave packet activities and this heavy precipitation. Nevertheless, the above research is only for such an extreme precipitation event. Whether each extreme precipitation event corresponds to obvious wave packet activities needs further study. The aim of this paper was to explore the remediation effect and mechanism of Wetland pine (Pinus elliottii), Chinese fir (Cunninghamia lanceolata (Lamb.) Hook), and Alder (Alnus cremastogyne Burkill) on heavy metal contaminated soil in the iron tailings of Jiulong Iron Tailings Area. At the same time, the specificity of plant rhizosphere and non-rhizosphere soil microbial community structure and ecological function were analyzed based on macrogenomic sequencing. The results showed that the dominant microbial genera in J1 (control) was Acidobacteria, followed by Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria. The microbial genera with the highest percentage of relative abundance in J2, J3, J4, J5, and J6 (J2, Wetland Pine rhizosphere; J3, Wetland Pine non-rhizosphere; J4, Chinese fir rhizosphere; J5, Alder rhizosphere; J6, Alder non-rhizosphere) were Proteobacteria, followed by Acidobacteria, and Actinobacteria. It was found that Proteobacteria promoted heavy metal solubilization, activated heavy metals, and converted their forms to improve plant uptake of heavy metals. This proves that the microorganisms of Proteobacteria are the key microbial genera in the study of regional heavy metal remediation. The antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in microorganisms can respond to the inducement of heavy metals. Here, we investigated the relationship between the abundance of soil microorganisms ARGs and heavy metal pollution in Jiulong Iron Tailings Area. There are significant differences in the quantity and category of ARGs in the rhizosphere and non-rhizosphere soil samples of the three tree species. The results of this study provide the foundation for the theory and practice of remediation of heavy metal contamination in soils of iron tailing areas in Jiulong Iron Tailings Area in similar stand conditions. This paper examines the distinct effects of actual and perceived security on forestland investment by rural households. To achieve this, we utilized Tobit and IV-Reg models to analyze repeated survey data from 500 households residing in 50 villages in Jiangxi Province during the years 2017 and 2018. We measured households' investment in forest management by labor and cash inputs. The findings indicate that actual and perceived tenure security significantly influence forestland investment. Specifically, the possession of forestland certificates exhibiting a marked increase in labor and cash inputs. However, the logging quota system has a significant negative impact on cash input, but no significant effect on labor input. With regard to perceived tenure security, the evaluation and comprehension of the existing tenure policy by households contribute positively to both labor and cash inputs in forestland. From our analysis, it is recommended that the logging quota system be revised to incentivize farmers' active participation in forest management, and the government should strive to raise awareness among rural households about forest tenure policy. The dilemma of aging and lack of successors must be understood to improve the scale efficiency and competitiveness of China's agriculture. This paper uses a survey of 1347 farmers in Liaoning, Jiangsu, and Jiangxi and applies tobit and probit models to explore the impact of intergenerational inheritance on farmland management in terms of the current scale and willingness for expansion. The results show that (1) an increased probability of intergenerational inheritance in agriculture can significantly increase the scale of farmland operations, with a greater effect on the current scale than on the willingness to expand; (2) the scale upgrading effect of agricultural intergenerational inheritance is greater in regions with frequent nonagricultural activities and in families with middle or low-scale farmland operations; and (3) the promotion effect on the current scale is greater for elderly farmers 60 years old or above than for farmers who are 40–59 years old, while the promotion effect on the willingness for expansion exists only for the latter. Therefore, policies should attract young, skilled laborers to return to their hometowns for agricultural employment and entrepreneurship and support farmland transfer and scale operation in regions with frequent nonagricultural activities or a lower scale of agricultural operations.
