Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) is a global pandemic. It has recently swept the world. Statistics indicate an increase in the number of confirmed cases with this virus. The researchers have used an advanced statistical method called Singular Spectrum Analysis (SSA) to study the numbers of the confirmed cases in Iraq and compared them with some countries, like China, America, Spain and Italy during the period 21 January 2020 up to 26 April 2020. The results show that there is a trend, so there is an increase in confirmed cases with slight seasonality and periodicity in the time series of USA, Spain and Italy, but decrease in confirmed cases with slight seasonality and periodicity in the time series.
