This article looks at the new tactic of terrorists in using women as suicide bombers. The article describes the first known woman who blew herself up in Iraq and recounts other known female suicide bombings. Sajida Mubarak al-Rishawi was captured before she was able to detonate herself on Nov. 9. Americans will need to search women in an invasive manner and terrorists are aware of the anger this will cause among Iraqis. Terrorists appeal to the sexual frustrations and desire for spiritual rewards in their recruits. Recruiting of women appears to be necessary because men are no longer available.
