The article explores the challenges faced by music instructors in Iraq while using elearning for music education, particularly during the COVID-19 epidemic. The research aims to identify and assess the main obstacles encountered by music educators in applied disciplines, particularly in solo performances on instruments such as the piano and violin. The research used a descriptive-analytical technique, especially content analysis, to examine and evaluate the difficulties encountered by music educators in Iraq during the transition to e-learning. The study sample consists of four faculty members who were chosen from the Department of Musical Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Baghdad. These faculty members used e-learning to teach solo instruments. The process of data collection involves the distribution of a questionnaire consisting of 30 questions, particularly tailored to gather instructors' viewpoints and understandings about the challenges faced while using e-learning for practical music courses. and analyzed using statistical measures in SPSS. The results highlight the difficulties encountered by music educators in Iraq while using e-learning, including the lack of direct human interaction and limitations in practical learning. Practical disciplines, including solo performance on instruments, provide unique challenges since they require specific equipment, exact instructions, and exceptional skills. However, e-learning in music education offers advantages such as convenience, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness. The research emphasizes the need to integrate technology and develop innovative methods to effectively provide both theoretical and practical teaching in music education. The declaration acknowledges the efficacy of combining online and conventional approaches to enhance learning results, optimize communication, and save expenses. During the pandemic, e-learning has become essential. Nevertheless, it is crucial to emphasize the delivery of accurate information, appropriate assignments, and ongoing student involvement. This research aims to improve understanding of the challenges and benefits associated with e-learning in music education, particularly in the context of Iraq. There is a need to make serious efforts For Iraqi universities to be in the ranks of advanced universities in the world. This requires attracting teaching talents and providing an incubating environment for them. Therefore, the objective of the research was to explore the influence of (the environment, the development of talents) on sustainable competitive advantages. The research followed the descriptive approach and used the quantitative analysis method. Almaqaal university is the field of study. The study sample size (of 76 people), from almaaqal university teachers, and the sample comprised the available staff specialized in the field of Teaching and research. The questionnaire was utilised as a data collection tool and (spss) program was the main program used in the analysis. Methods of attracting talents and providing an incubating environment for talents contribute to the development of talents on the one hand, and to strengthening the positive link among the university and society on the other influence. Iraqi universities still lack methods of attracting and nurturing talent. In addition to the lack of studies dealing with this subject, this study provides a theoretical and practical addition to Iraqi studies in this field. The tourism industry, with its two sides (recreational and religious), is one of the important investment fields in Iraq, it is represented Iraq as the second economic source after the oil sector. So a need for serious efforts to develop the tourism sector and maintain its sustainability. This paper will be one of the important contributions in this field; the paper aims to explore the extent of the impact of the sustainable strategy on the level of overall performance in the Iraqi tourism sector. The field of research was some Iraqi tourist institutions at Iraqi tourism, Which covers the field of study on the one side, and can be studied on the other side, for the developing study methodology and organizing its main parts, the research paper adopted a major hypothesis that (there is a statistically significant effect of the sustainable strategy on the level of the overall performance of the Iraqi tourism sector), and for data collection, a checklist was used. The checklist In its questions covers the content required from the study of some tourist institutions in the Iraqi tourism sector, and the list was distributed to a sample of people working in the Iraqi tourism sector, size of the sample (43 people), with experience and academic specialization. The study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: the ability of the sustainable strategy to ensure continuously improve the overall tourism sector performance. The current study estimated the chemical constituents of wild Pistacia atlantica parts. Leaves, fruits, and rachis in spring and autumn were chosen. In addition, the analysis covered the bark and gum of the plant. Between April and October 2020, samples were collected from Sulaymaniyah and Halabja governorates in Kurdistan (Northeastern Iraq). Notably, at various locations, spring leaves contained more nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and carbohydrates than autumn leaves. Moreover, Qaradagh autumn fruits contained the highest levels of fixed oil (32.08%). GC analysis of autumn fruit oil showed the concentrations of palmitic acid (11.02-11.69%), stearic acid (2.7-4.2%), oleic acid (44.25-45.39%), linoleic acid (13.11-15.36%) and linolenic acid (0.36-0.77%). Lastly, Qaradagh spring leaves had the highest total phenolic content (307.057 mg/g), while Ranya spring leaves had the highest total flavonoid concentration (101.483 mg/g). HPLC analysis of Ranya spring leaves revealed that the concentrations of quercetin, rutin, catechin, ferulic acid, and ellagic acid were 168.9 µg/g, 149.7 µg/g 124.5 µg/g, 122.4 µg/g, and 97.4 µg/g, respectively. Phenolic compounds are abundant in Qaradagh spring leaves. As such, further studies are needed to investigate the potential therapeutic uses of bioactive compounds isolated from Qaradagh spring leaves of P. atlantica. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The current study aimed to estimate the efficiency of Cyperus papyrus for the accumulation of some heavy elements in Shatt al-Basrah Canal - southern Iraq. Six elements (Co, Mn, Cu, Ni, Pb, Fe) were used during a seasonally period that extended from the autumn 2018 to the summer 2019. These elements were studied in the dissolved and particulate phase of water. In addition, the same elements were studied in the exchangeable and residual phase of the precipitate and in the tissues of C. papyrus. The current study also showed the mechanism of accumulation of heavy elements through water-sediments-aquatic plants. C. papyrus, which was well developed in the Shatt Al Basrah, was used. The system of abundance of elements in water in the dissolved phase was as follows: Ni < Pb < Cd < Cu < Mn < Fe. As for the exchangeable phase of the sediment, it was as follows: Ni < Pb < Cd < Mn < Cu < Fe. The abundance of elements in C. papyrus was as follows: Ni < Pb < Cd < Mn < Cu < Fe. The study concluded that the accumulation of the studied elements follows the ascending system (water - sediment - aquatic plant). The bioaccumulation factor of the studied elements in the tissues of C. papyrus was as follows: 3.62, 11.27, 8.47, 10.37, 12.58, 11.08 once as much as their concentrations in water, respectively. The experiment was carried out in one of the private farm in Babylon province during the 1st of March till the 24th of May 2019. A total number of 40 calves, a hybridized Brazilian Anwa breed (Brahma× Abeerden Angus) of an initial weight 485.22Kg were used in the experiment, those calves fed on a concentrate ration(17.54% crude protein with11.4 mega jule metabolizable energy/Kg dry matter) in the rate 2% of live weight, calves had been weighed weekly for 12 weeks and fed with roughage which is represented hay ad libitum with 10 Kg/day/calf alfalfa. Drinking water was available along the experiment to estimate feed consumption rate, feed conversion ratio and rate of the weight gain (Daily, Weekly and Total) and some of the characteristics of the carcass (slaughter weight, hot carcass weight and dressing percentage). Blood samples were collected from calves for three weight (kg) ages (400, 500 and 600), three calves for each weight age (With age 2-3 years) to estimate some cellular blood parameters (White blood cells and their types, Blood hemoglobin and Packed Cell Volume) as well as biochemical parameters (Glucose, urea, cholesterol and total protein). Results indicated the consumption of calves(15.54 Kg dry matter/calf/day) resulting in feed conversion ratio (9.973Kg feed/Kg weight) and high daily weight gain (1.57Kg) and total gain (132.1Kg) and the large category (600Kg) out weight performed on the small and medium (400, 500 Kg) in the slaughter when it reached 603.00 Kg as compared to 415.00 and 520.00 Kg respectively, as well as the results of the experiment showed significant differences (P<0.05) in the hot carcass weight, as the large and medium groups out performed on the small group, while the small group out performed on the large group in characteristic of dressing percentage as it reached 57.62% as compared to 51.81% for the large group and were confirmed for the first time characteristics of the bove mentioned cellular and biochemical blood parameters by the hereditary that imported and breed in mid Iraq environment in Babylon and was highest among the large calves group (600Kg), which indicates the performance of these final weight to stop there in fattening and the ease of disposal of their sale in the local market. The current study was conducted to determines the concentration of four trace metals (Cd, Pb, Cu and Fe) in water (dissolved and particulate) phase, sediment (exchangeable and residual) and two species of aquatic plants Phragmites australis and Ceratophyllum demersium in Al-Garaf river of Al-Rafa district in south of Iraq. The samples of the study were collected during the autumn and winter in 2018-2019 from three stations within Al-Rafa district. An Atomic absorption spectrophotometer was used to measure the trace metals. The results showed that the concentrations in dissolved phase were (0.20, 0.60, 0.12 and 158.11) μg/l, while their concentrations in particulate phase were (14.34, 46.73, 17.76 and 2200.74) μg/g dry weight respective. For sediment, the mean concentrations of these metals in the exchangeable and residual phase were as follows (5.08, 0.035) (17.29, 2.71) (11.87, 13.23) and (622.18, 2366.02) μg/g dry weight. Higher concentrations of the present study were observed in Ceratophyllum demersum more than their concentration in Phragmites australis. The current study concluded that the concentrations of studied metals in particulate phase were greater than their concentrations in sediment and also higher than their concentrations in the two plants. Introduction: According to the American Society of Radiation Oncology, all patients receive radiation therapy during their illness, where radiation is delivered by the medical linear accelerator (Linac). The aim of this study was to evaluate the quality assurance (QA) of the Linac in analyzing the used dose profile in the treatment of cancer tumors. Material and Methods: This experimental study was performed using Linac (synergy device type) at Baghdad Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine laboratories, Baghdad, Iraq. The Star Track device was used for the routine quality assurance of the Linac, using photon beam for the reference Dmax and source to surface distance of 100 cm. The Star Track consists of 453 vented parallel plate ionization chambers. Results: The flatness and symmetry of beams for the reference field size did not exceed from ±2%, as they were within the allowed range. Moreover, the penumbra region showed a change in value that did not exceed from ±0.2 cm. using the Star Track method; maximum differences in beam symmetry and beam flatness were measured at 0.76%±2% and 1.17%±2%, respectively. Moreover, the maximum difference in the penumbra region was estimated at 0.12±0.2 cm. Conclusion: The results indicated, the Star Track could successfully calculate the characteristics of dose profile during a time period of 2,500 ms, showing the superiority of this instrument over other verification devices. Merkel-Cell Carcinoma (MCC) is rare and highly aggressive skin cancer, usually due to Merckel-cell polyomavirus. Venous ulcers are full-thickness defects of skin in the lower limb when these ulcers persist for more than 6 weeks; they are referred to as chronic venous ulcers. An 83-year-old male presented to Al-Sadder Teaching hospital, with a chief complaint of painful swelling of the right leg with the same side foot ulcer for one month. On examination the ulcer found in the medial aspect of the ankle, just posterior and down to the medial malleolus. Its size about 2 cm × 3 cm, with an oval shape. The edge raised and everted with whitish discoloration. The base was firm, immobile, tender, red spots floor, and whitish offensive discharge. The patient was admitted to the hospital for the correction of anemia and rehydration. Unfortunately, the patient died before chemotherapy after 6 days of final diagnosis and staging. Taking into account the frequency of cutaneous malignancies associated with Chronic Leg Ulcers (CLU); CLU presumed to be of vascular origin should be biopsied after 6 weeks to 3 months of nonhealing wounds. Hydatid disease or Echinoccosis is one of the serious public health problems. This study was designed as a comparative molecular study between some plant extract and tinidazole of sheep hydatid cysts in Basrah province. In this study, 213 sheep were examined and the number of those infected with hydatid cysts was 75 (35.2 %). The results showed that hydatid cyst were detected successfully by performing PCR technique. In addition, Quercus aegilops has been shown the best plant extract for destroying all genes, the second plant extract which is Capparis spinosa showed destroying of two genes (G6-7, COI) and failed to destroy (sh4-1). Furthermore Prosopis fracta has showen to destroy only (G6-7) and tinidazole failed to destroy any of these genes used in this study [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Y-STRs have emerged as important forensic and population genetic markers for human identification and population differentiation studies. Therefore, population databases for these markers have been developed for almost all major populations around the world. The Iraqi population encompasses several ethnic groups that need to be genetically characterised and evaluated for possible substructures. Previous studies on the Iraqi population based on Y-STR markers were limited by a restricted number of markers. A larger database for Iraqi Arab population needed to be developed to help study and compare the population with other Middle Eastern populations. Twenty-three Y-STR loci included in the PowerPlex Y23 (Promega, Madison, WI, USA) were typed in 254 males from the Iraqi Arab population. Global and regional Y-STR analysis demonstrated regional genetic continuity among the populations of Iraq, the Arabian Peninsula and the Middle East. The Iraqi Arab haplotypes were used to allocate samples to their most likely haplogroups using Athey's Haplogroup Predictor tool. Prediction indicated predominance (36.6%) of haplogroup J1 in Iraqi Arabs. The migration rate between other populations and the Iraqis was inferred using coalescence theory in the Migrate-n program. Y-STR data were used to test different out-of-Africa migration models as well as more recent migrations within the Arabian Peninsula. The migration models demonstrated that gene flow to Iraq began from East Africa, with the Levantine corridor the most probable passageway out of Africa. The data presented here will enrich our understanding of genetic diversity in the region and introduce a PowerPlex Y23 database to the forensic community. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
