The tourism industry is also a multifaceted industry that plays a major role in the economy, employment and promotion of a country's culture and attractions to the world. One of the many types of tourism that is developing today is cultural tourism. Iran is a country with a history and a diverse culture. In terms of antiquities, it was one of the richest countries in the world, in the earliest periods of civilization and cultural history, and even before its history. By establishing a relationship between culture and tourism, this treasure can be turned into a good resource to attract domestic and foreign tourists. Because the ancient culture of Iran consists of many elements. It includes national customs and traditions, literary and mythological characters, Iranian architecture, ethnic diversity, religiously Islamic and various religions. This variability and diversity seen in Iranian culture and civilization can be transformed into a valuable and attractive asset for the country in terms of tourism, with appropriate planning and management. Due to its cultural potential, Iran has high tourism potential. In this study, it has been tried to examine the role and importance of cultural tourism in Iran in detail.
