- Abstract
Tularemia is a widespread bacterial disease caused by Francisella tularensis. Iran is an endemic country for this zoonosis. In this report, we present a 2020 tularemia outbreak in a village in northwestern Iran involving 15 patients with the oropharyngeal form of the disease. This outbreak was probably linked to the consumption of contaminated drinking water., Competing Interests: Declaration of competing interest The authors declare that they have no known competing financial interests or personal relationships that could have appeared to influence the work reported in this paper., (Copyright © 2024 Elsevier Inc.
