Iran's 'Look East' policy entails more than relations with the People's Republic of China, India and the republics of Central Eurasia. Crucial to the Islamic Republic's eastward turn are recent overtures to Indonesia, which include not only diplomatic and economic initiatives but also joint military projects. Why Tehran has stepped up its efforts to align with Jakarta can be explained in terms of recent moves by the Arab Gulf states, most notably the United Arab Emirates, along with Iran's sympathy for Indonesia's long-standing commitment to non-alignment. One of the most critical foreign policy issues of middle – power states is how to mold attitudes towards major powers. Since 1979, Iran has changed the nature of its relations with major powers. Although the Iranian Revolution adopted the 'Neither East, Nor West' motto as a macro guide to its foreign policy, since the late 1980s Iran and the Soviet Union – now Russia, have advanced their bilateral relations. Despite Iran and Russia sharing convergent views on many international issues, they have not promoted their ties to a strategic alliance. The present paper addresses the question of what conceptual model represents Iran-Russia relations and what challenges the two countries face in expanding their strategic partnership in the 2020s. This research addresses these problems at three levels: inter-state, regional, and global, and was conducted through a descriptive-analytical method. Background: Recent studies have revealed the increasing importance of sagittal spinopelvic alignment. Knowing the values of sagittal spinopelvic parameters, which are affected by ethnicity, is essential in the normal asymptomatic population. In the current study, these parameters were measured in a sample of asymptomatic Iranian population. Methods: Seventy asymptomatic participants without complaint of musculoskeletal problems were enrolled. They had no complaint about musculoskeletal problems. Lateral full-length spinal and pelvic x-rays were taken. The following parameters were measured on x-rays and presented as mean ± standard deviation: pelvic incidence (PI), sacral slope (SS), pelvic tilt (PT), lumbar lordosis (LL), thoracic kyphosis (TK), lumbar tilt (LT) and thoracic tilt (TT). Results: The population consisted of 37 males and 33 females aged 26.6 ± 4.27 years. The mean values of PI, SS, PT, LL, TK, LT, and TT were 44.5 ± 10.1, 35.4 ± 6.7, 9.1 ± 7.9, 41.9 ± 14.7, 28.8 ± 8.3, 11.9 ± 7.4 and -7.5 ± 5.7 (median: -10; 5th percentile: -14; 95th percentile: 4.4) degrees, respectively. The variables were similar between males and females except for LL which was significantly higher in females (37.8 ± 16.5 versus 46.5 ± 11; P = 0.013). In addition, the linear regression model revealed age to be independently related with PI (beta = 0.344; P = 0.004) and PT (beta = 0.366; P = 0.002). PI (r = 0.344, P = 0.004) and PT (r = 0.359, P = 0.002) were positively correlated with age. Additionally, PI was positively correlated to SS, PT and LL and negatively to TT. Conclusion: These findings may be used as referential values for sagittal spinopelvic parameters in the Iranian population. The positive correlation of PI with age questions the constancy of PI throughout life. However, larger studies are required. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Strategic Functional-level planning should be aligned with business level and other functional strategies of a company. It is presumed that assimilating the strategies could have positive contribution to business performance, in this regard alignment between marketing strategy and financial strategy seems to be the most important strategies being studied. An empirical work in generic pharmaceutical manufacturing companies for evaluating effect of alignment between these two functions on organizational performance was developed in this paper. Methods: All Iranian pharmaceutical generic manufactures listed in Tehran stock market have been tested for period of five years between 2006-2010 and their marketing strategies were determined by using Slater and Olson taxonomy and their financial strategies have been developed by calculating total risk and total return of sample companies for five years based on rate of risk and return in the frame of a 2 × 2 matrix. For the business performance three profitability indices including Q-Tubin (Rate of market value to net asset value), ROA (Return on Asset), ROE (Return on Equity) have been tested. For analysis, a series of one-way ANOVAs as a collection of statistical models within marketing strategies considering financial strategy as independent variable and the three performance measures as dependent variables was used. Results: Results show strategic alignment between financial and marketing has significant impact on profitability of company resulting in arise of all three profitability indices. Q tubing's rate were 2.33,2.09,2.29,2.58 and rate of ROA were 0.21,0.194,0.25,0.22 and rate of ROE were 0.44,0.46,0.45,0.42 for matched strategy types, respectively the rates shown here are more than average meaning that specific type of marketing strategy is fitted with specific type of financial strategy. This study aims to examine the relationship and alignment between business and project strategy and their impact on the success of information and communications technology (ICT) projects. The proposed conceptual model was tested through structural equation modelling (SEM), with an analysis of SmartPLS based on survey data from 144 firms. The results indicate that project success is positively influenced by project strategy, while business strategy shows no impact on project success. Background: Upper crossed syndrome (UCS) refers to specific altered muscle activation and changed movement patterns along with some postural deviations in the upper quarter of the body. This syndrome might contribute to the dysfunction of the cervicothoracic and glenohumeral joints., Objectives: The present study will aim to investigate the effectiveness of a comprehensive corrective exercises program (CCEP) and subsequent detraining on alignment, muscle activation and movement pattern in men with UCS., Methods/design: This is a parallel-group randomized controlled trial. Participants will be 22 men aged 18 to 28 years who are suffering from UCS. Participants in the intervention group will conduct CCEP (three times a week for 8 weeks), followed by 4 weeks of detraining. The control group will do their daily activities. Participants will be randomized (1:1) into the intervention or the control group. The primary outcome will be upper trapezius activations. Secondary outcomes consist of electromyography of middle and lower trapezius and serratus anterior muscles, scapular dyskinesis test, forward head and shoulder angles, thoracic kyphosis angle, and neck flexion pattern test., Discussion: We propose to evaluate the effectiveness of a randomized controlled trial of a CCEP in men with UCS on their alignment, selected muscle activations, and relevant movement patterns. Results from our trial may provide new insights into the effects of exercise not only on the alignment but also on muscle activation and movement patterns that are important outcomes for people with postural malalignments and, if successful, could assist therapists in evidence-based clinical decision-making., Trial Registration: Iranian Registry of Clinical Trials, IRCT20181004041232N1.
