Renewable energy is a global concern and should be incorporated into education to raise awareness among younger generations, including in physics education. Educators have made various efforts to raise awareness of the importance of pursuing renewable energy. A breakthrough sought in this research is to incorporate collaborative learning into the science-technology-engineering-art-mathematics (STEAM) approach. Integrating STEAM into collaborative learning can simultaneously develop critical and creative thinking skills by exploring local resources to become renewable energy sources. The research involved 36 high school students who met the criteria for having a smartphone and accessing a reliable internet connection. These conditions are designed to facilitate students' producing essays and posters exploring renewable energy sources in their local area. The research design employs a one-group pretest-posttest approach to assess the effectiveness of this STEAM-based collaborative learning process. The data collected from tests that have undergone t-tests and N-gain analysis, triangulated with observation data and questionnaires, illustrates the progress made in improving students' critical and creative thinking abilities. In conclusion, the implementation of STEAM-based collaborative learning demonstrates the highest level of achievement in creative thinking. It enables the production of innovative mini-projects that critically analyze local resources available for national energy sources.

The end of the pandemic era has brought new changes and challenges to lectures held in a blended learning environment, one of which is the use of interactive content. The objective of this study was to analyse, develop and evaluate the presentation of content using H5P in blended learning, its relevance to lecture topics, activities to achieve learning outcomes using the rotation-type blended learning model and how students perceive it after using this H5P content. It focused on the rotation model that is commonly used in blended learning. However, this model has not included H5P much yet. The sampling method was purposive. The data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire. The questionnaire data were examined using the bivariate Pearson correlation approach. The results of this study indicated that the use of H5P as a supporting component in implementing the rotation model type of integrated learning increases student knowledge, skill and satisfaction. Lecturers can apply H5Pbased content as content support in blended learning for other study programmes by following the content development steps, type rotation scenario and how the H5P interactive videos are used.

Islamic university students in Indonesia must improve disaster literacy by developing science-Islamic integrated disaster geography textbooks. This study aims to determine the appropriateness of science-Islamic integrated disaster geography textbooks and the effect of using them on students' learning outcomes. The Dick and Carey model was used in this development. The product was validated by experts in material, design, and the integration of Islamic science and tested on students and lecturers on a limited basis. The experiment subjects were 27 Social Science Education students from Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Instruments are in the form of a questionnaire to determine the appropriateness of the book and test questions to determine the effect of book products on learning outcomes. Data were analyzed descriptively and using an independent sample t-test. The results showed that science-Islamic integrated disaster geography textbooks were appropriate for use in learning with an effective category (appropriateness score = 81.08%). The use of science-Islamic integrated disaster geography textbooks affected students' learning outcomes (p=0.000) < [alpha]=0.05). Further research suggests developing digital books on other materials because the Islamic science integration curriculum has been proven to improve students' learning.

This study is aimed to investigate the effectiveness of problem-based learning combined with simulation on students' problem-solving and creative thinking skills. By employing a quasi-experimental design, this study used essay and problem-based tests as the instruments to evaluate problem-solving and creative thinking skills of 192 students. These students were categorized into three groups: experimental group I (n = 68) receiving instruction using problem-based learning combined with simulation, experimental group II (n = 60) receiving instruction with problem-based learning only, and control group (n = 64) receiving instruction with a conventional method. Using a multivariate analysis of covariance, the results revealed that problem-solving and creative thinking skills taught by problem-based learning combined with simulation were significantly improved as compared to those in experimental group II and control group. In addition, a positive relationship was identified between students' problem-solving skills and their creative thinking skills. Ultimately, this study shows that instruction using problem-based learning combined with simulation method is much more effective than using either problem-based learning only or a conventional teaching method.

This study has an objective to identify the development and policies of educational technology application in ASEAN [South East Asia Region] countries. Through the literature review and analysis, this recent study has compared the issue of educational technology development and policies in ASEAN countries. The reviewing country has been chosen based on the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) index amongst the ASEAN countries, that are Singapore (as the highest rank), Thailand & Indonesia (as the middle rank), and Myanmar (as the lowest rank). The result of the study shows that the majority of the countries focused to improve network capabilities in supporting online learning, and the policies of each country showed a similarity in improving the technology equity for the learner. However, Singapore shows more advance technological implementation such as the application of broader Artificial Intelligence in classroom activity, while the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Thailand and Indonesia still in developing progress. In conclusion, the technology education development in ASEAN countries has moved forward through the past year and the policies of educational technology for each country have been similar in strengthening the ASEAN plan.

The high unemployment rate in Indonesia derived from vocational school graduates could be alleviated through internship as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility program that deployed by company together with school to equip its students or graduates with set of competences, therefore they will be competent and able to compete in job market, especially in the era of disruptive technologies. This applied research of evaluation using qualitative approach aimed to evaluate the input and process of the corporate social responsibility program in vocational internship conducted by an oil and gas manufacturing company in Indonesia. The results of this revealed some inputs that were the source of program success and processes that determined the quality of the program. Aspects of input generally met the ideal criteria such as competent program staff, participant characteristic reflecting program objectives, flexible and synchronized curriculum, adequate facility, and available procedure. Aspects of the process complied with regulations and procedures as well. Both aspects resulted the achievement of outcome that exceeded expectation such as competence improvement, cost saving, awards and provide information to be replicated by other institutions.

This research aims to develop open ended-based worksheet in improving students' high-level thinking skills on static fluid materials. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with 3 steps namely, the initial stage, then the design and development of the product, and finally the product testing. The data analysis technique for product effectiveness is with the main field trials, namely (1) N-gain analysis, (2) paired t-test, (3) ANCOVA, and finally (4) effect size test. From the test results obtained information that conducted 10 students showed the results of the development worksheets obtained the average worth of development products by 90% this value is included in the very high category, while the student response of the average of 88% and also the readability response of 89% in the very high category. In the results of the n-gain analysis also show the value is 0.70, that mean medium category. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that worksheets based on open ended can improve students' higher-order thinking skills. So, in further development we suggest that open ended-based on worksheet is not only applied to static fluid material, but also in other materials.

Students' poor understanding of COVID-19 can contribute to an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases.. However, there is no validated instrument for measuring undergraduate student knowledge about COVID-19. This study is at the cutting edge of validating the psychometry of students' knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) toward COVID-19. The assessment instrument consists of 18 items in the knowledge domain, 6 items in the attitude domain, and 12 items in the practice domain. This questionnaire underwent expert validation prior to being administered to 389 respondents. A RASCH model and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were applied to evaluate the psychometric characteristics of the instrument. A four-factor model was tested for measurement model validity for knowledge domain, and two-factor model for attitude and practice domains by CFA. The results showed model yielded adequate goodness-of-fit values. In addition, results of RASCH model showed that the item content validity index was high. The item reliability for all the three domains was good, with a high separation index value. Thirty-six items were fitted to the model, based on recommended mean-square fit values, standardized Z-scores, and point-measure correlation coefficients. The response set in the questionnaire fit the Andrich threshold estimates well, and functioned as an appropriate model for the response category. The questionnaire thus shows excellent psychometric characteristics. Thus, this instrument can be used to measure undergraduate student KAP and can be implemented in future studies that want to assess the effectiveness of interventions to improve students' understanding of COVID-19.

This study investigates the relationship between self-efficacy, job crafting, and innovative work behavior in Indonesian prospective police investigators. The research, conducted at the National Police Education and Training Institute, utilized a quantitative approach, gathering data from 448 participants via a structured online questionnaire employing a five-point Likert scale. The analysis was conducted using SmartPLS4. The findings indicate that self-efficacy does not directly affect innovative work behavior. However, job crafting serves as a complete mediator in this relationship, underscoring its essential role in promoting innovation within organized professional environments. This study enhances the current body of literature by applying Bandura's Social Cognitive Theory to law enforcement settings, highlighting the intricate interplay among cognitive, behavioral, and environmental elements. Incorporating job crafting-focused training in police education is recommended to improve adaptability and innovation, thereby addressing the operational challenges faced by law enforcement in the post-pandemic context. Future research should investigate these dynamics across various cultural and organizational contexts to further validate the findings and examine longitudinal changes throughout an officer's career. This study reviews particulate matter (PM) research in Indonesia, focusing on current trends, health impacts, challenges, and future research directions. As the largest archipelago country, Indonesia faces severe pollution annually due to rapid urbanization, industrial activities, vehicle emissions, and forest fires. PM levels often exceed WHO and NAAQS standards, especially in urban areas and during forest fire seasons, posing significant health risks to vulnerable populations. Most PM studies have been conducted in major cities, primarily concentrated on Java Island. While there are several studies in Sumatra and Borneo, they commonly focus on the effects of peatland fires, and research in the eastern part of Indonesia remains limited. Substantial gaps in PM studies have been highlighted, including limited monitoring infrastructure, technology, data inconsistencies, and socio-economic challenges. Recent studies emphasize the need for more research on size-segregated PM, including ultrafine particles (UFPs), to fully understand their behavior in the atmosphere, sources, distribution, and health impacts. Chemical analysis and source apportionment studies are also crucial but currently limited due to equipment and analytical challenges. To improve PM management, the study proposes strategic options, including adopting advanced monitoring technologies along with low-cost samplers, increasing funding and technical training, enhancing coordination among stakeholders, and fostering international collaboration. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to ascertain the level of attractiveness of each province in Indonesia as a potential destination for money laundering activities originating from Jakarta. Design/methodology/approach Adopting a quantitative approach, this study uses the Walker Gravity Model, which has been modified in two key components: the attractiveness and distance variables. The first modification is achieved by using proxy economic variables, for which data is available at the provincial level within a country. The utilization of proxy data serves to circumvent certain data limitations inherent to the original model, which is only accessible at the country level. The second modification is introduced to the distance component, wherein this study develops a distance index that is deemed to be more representative than physical distance used in the original model. Findings The research findings indicate a notable correlation between economic activity and the risk of money laundering, with provinces in closer proximity to Jakarta exhibiting a higher likelihood of being targeted for money laundering activities. However, there are exceptions for some provinces that, despite their distance from Jakarta, also demonstrate a high potential for money laundering due to their strong economic ties to the capital city. Originality/value The existing studies on money laundering attractiveness, extent and flow at the provincial level in Indonesia using quantitative approaches are limited. Abstract: Aim: To assess the current situation regarding oral health status and system in Indonesia through the existing literature and government documents, identify challenges, and propose recommendations for the future. Materials and Methods: A literature search was conducted from June to October 2023 through the scientific databases of PubMed, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, including published articles from 2013 to 2023. The following main keywords were used: "Indonesia," "oral health system," "oral healthcare system," "oral health policy," "oral health promotion," "oral health coverage," and "oral health status." Articles without any restrictions on study design, review articles, regional or national oral health reports, and Indonesian health laws or regulations were included. Data extracted from the included studies were synthesized and presented into several subgroups. Results: Despite the establishment of a health system in 1982, the oral health status of Indonesian people remains unsatisfying. The prevalence of untreated caries and periodontal disease is still high. Several policies and programs have been implemented to tackle those problems; however, Indonesia still has many challenges to overcome, including geographic constraints, uneven distribution of dental personnel, low public awareness and information on oral care utilization, insufficient resource allocation, and lack of prevention and promotion programs. Conclusion: The oral health status of the Indonesian population remains unsatisfactory. Future actions should emphasize on equal access and distribution of dental care, strengthen monitoring and evaluation of ongoing programs, integrate oral health into the national health agenda, and allocate adequate resources to support oral health initiatives. Background: Kalimantan remains malaria-endemic, particularly in rural areas, where prevention efforts face challenges such as insecticide resistance and limited healthcare access. Despite available measures like insecticide-treated nets, gaps in understanding individual and household prevention practices persist, especially in relation to demographics and effectiveness in reducing malaria transmission. Purpose: This study aimed to examine the individual and household-level malaria prevention strategies utilized in rural Kalimantan and evaluate their effectiveness in reducing malaria incidence. Methods: The study was a secondary analysis of the 2018 Indonesian basic health research (Riskesdas). A total of 67,155 respondents in Kalimantan were analyzed including respondent characteristics, memories of malaria infection, and individual and household malaria prevention efforts. The data were collected through the result of the 2018 Riskesdas survey. Bivariate regression and multivariable logistic regression were used in data analysis. Results: Self-reported malaria rates were higher among older respondents compared to younger ones. Women reported lower malaria rates than men, especially in South Kalimantan. In West Kalimantan, the use of bed nets was associated with higher self-reported malaria rates (OR=1.838, 95%CI 1.147-2.943). Short-term use of insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) showed varying odds across provinces: Central Kalimantan (OR=3.659, 95%CI 1.378-9.717), South Kalimantan (OR=10.811, 95%CI 3.649-32.030), East Kalimantan (OR=2.615, 95%CI 1.0416.567), and West Kalimantan (OR=2.428, 95%CI 1.446-4.078). In all provinces, preventive measures such as coils or electric mats reduced self-reported malaria cases. The use of mosquito screens was effective in South Kalimantan (OR=0.208, 95%CI 0.027-1.598), Central Kalimantan (OR=0.365, 95%CI 0.120-2.181), and North Kalimantan (OR=0.000, 95%CI 0.000-0.000). The multivariate model highlighted mosquito nets as the most effective household-scale prevention in nearly all Kalimantan provinces except North Kalimantan. Conclusion: This study showed that individuals aged 25 and over, women, non-farmers, and those using ITNs and other preventive measures, especially in rural areas, were less likely to report malaria, emphasizing the need for targeted interventions from local health authorities. The very rapid development of the number of Internet and social media users in Indonesia is affecting all communication and interaction spaces in society. One of them can be a strength in controlling the performance of law enforcement officials. This article attempts to explain the important role of social media in efforts to improve the performance of law enforcement officials in Indonesia. The method used in this research is qualitative research on empirical law with data collection techniques carried out by literature study. The results of the research show that the important role of social media in efforts to improve the performance of law enforcement officials includes as a fast disseminator of information, as advocacy and support for certain cases, as a public pressure provider on officials and the government, exposing cases that are not exposed by conventional media, as media for monitoring accountability and transparency, and as a place for inclusive discussion and debate. The important role of social media should not be overshadowed by the negative impacts of social media such as societal polarization, unequal access, hoaxes and fake news, intimidation and verbal violence. Typologies of traditional domestic architecture across the world are based on numerous criteria. Certainly, social stratification is one among them. Mamasa tribe located in the West Sulawesi Province, which is one of the Indonesian ethnic groups with traditional architecture do so based on the social and economic levels of the community and the caste divisions. Their traditional architectural heritage still maintained to this day is the Mamasa traditional house called banua. The Mamasa community introduced caste divisions based on the social and economic levels of the community which physically influenced the form and typology of the Mamasa traditional house. This study examines the architectural aspects influenced by the social stratification of the Mamasa community: the function, form, space, material, appearance and decorative variety of the Mamasa traditional house. The research employed exploratory qualitative methods. Data collection techniques included direct observations, interviews and literature studies. In-depth interviews were conducted with several traditional leaders related to the Mamasa traditional house. The field data was correlated with data from the literature studies: journals, books, or website sources related to the research study. The findings indicate a strong correlation between the architecture of the traditional Mamasa house and the social stratification that exists in the Mamasa community. The typology based on the social stratification of the Mamasa society is: the first type, Banua Sura' is intended for the tana' bulawan or high nobility class. The second type, Banua Bolong is intended for the tana' bassi or the ordinary nobility class. The third type, Banua Rapa is intended for the tana' karurung or free-people class. The fourth type, Banua Longkarrin is intended for the tana' kua-kua or the slave class. This qualitative study examines the portrayal of Indonesian migrant women workers in Türkiye by major Indonesian online media outlets from 2018 to 2023. Using content analysis, the research explores dominant media representations surrounding workers in Türkiye's care service and tourism sectors. Findings reveal patterns of precarious work, exploitation, and vulnerability to undocumented employment, particularly involving Syrian employers. The study highlights a significant shift in media coverage from sensationalist reporting to echoing government narratives on combating undocumented migration. This shift aligns with Indonesia's labor-export policy reforms under President Jokowi, which aim to promote labor migration to formal sectors and distance the country's image from domestic worker exports. The research demonstrates how media reflects and reinforces state migrant protection policies through "domesticated protection." However, this approach inadvertently perpetuates victimization and potentially exacerbates vulnerabilities by stigmatizing unofficial migration channels. While intended to safeguard workers, stringent regulations may if not already contribute to increased undocumented migration. By analyzing the nexus between media representation, state policies, and migrant precarities, this study contributes to understanding the complex dynamics of labor migration in an emerging corridor, calling for a more nuanced approach to media coverage, policy-making, and future studies that acknowledges both migrant agency and structural challenges [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This research aims to fill the gap in the differences in previous research results regarding the influence of green marketing on green purchase behavior with environmental knowledge as a mediation variable. Attitude-Behavior Context (ABC) Theory is used in this research to fill the gap. This study tested 9 hypotheses of which 7 were supported and the other two were rejected. The results from PLS-SEM from the responses of 124 Indonesian consumers show that Green Marketing (GA and Eco-label) positively affects GPB. Directly. The tourism sector plays a crucial role in the global economy, encompassing both physical infrastructure and cultural engagement. Indonesia has a wide range of attractions and has experienced remarkable growth, with Bali as a notable example of this. With the rapid advancements in technology, travelers now have the freedom to explore independently, while online travel agencies (OTAs) serve as important resources. Reviews from tourists significantly impact the service quality and perception of destinations, and text mining is a valuable tool for extracting insights from unstructured review data. This research integrates multiclass text classification and a network analysis to uncover tourists' behavioral patterns through their perceptions and movement. This study innovates beyond conventional sentiment and cognitive image analysis to the tourists' perceptions of cognitive dimensions and explores the sentiment correlation between different cognitive dimensions. We find that destinations generally receive positive feedback, with 80.36% positive reviews, with natural attractions being the most positive aspect while infrastructure is the least positive aspect. We highlight that qualitative experiences do not always align with quantitative cost-effectiveness evaluations. Through a network analysis, we identify patterns in tourist mobility, highlighting three clusters of attractions that cater to diverse preferences. This research underscores the need for tourism destinations to strategically adapt to tourists' varied expectations, enhancing their appeal and aligning their services with preferences to elevate destination competitiveness and increase tourist satisfaction. Self-regulated learning (SLR) is a condition in which students actively participate in the process of acquiring knowledge, and it closely relates to students’ metacognitive, motivational, and behavioral aspects. In order to measure this variable, an instrument was developed by referring to the Zimmerman cycle in the form of a questionnaire. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the construct validity of SLR questionnaires designed for high school students through Rasch model analysis. The method employed was descriptive quantitative research. The analyzed questionnaire consists of 50 positive statements, rated on 4-point Likert scale, and arranged of forethought, performance, and self-reflection phases. Furthermore, the construct validity was conducted on 235 third grade (XII) high school students in Gunungsitoli City (Indonesia), with a gender distribution of 58.29% female and 41.70% male. The results showed that the questionnaire with 4-rating scales satisfied the criteria for validity, gender inclusiveness, and unidimensionality based on Rasch model analysis for 25 statements. Clinical practice guidelines are procedures followed by physicians to optimize healthcare services and achieve more effective outcomes. Conducted in October 2022, this study aims to analyze the factors that hinder the implementation of clinical practice guidelines among physicians at Mandau District General Hospital, Bengkalis, Indonesia. This study used an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach. This study included all 85 individuals who were employed as general practitioners at Mandau District General Hospital. The data were subjected to univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analyses. The independent t-test was used in the data analysis, with a p-value of less than 0.05 considered significant. The results showed a correlation between the implementation of clinical practice guidelines and several variables, including the ability to recognize and explain clinical features of diseases (p = 0.008), to diagnose diseases (p = 0.004), to perform initial management (p = 0.000), and to perform independent and directed management (p=0.001). Upon conducting the follow-up analysis using the logistic regression, it was found that the variables associated with the implementation of clinical practice guidelines were the ability to perform initial management (p = 0.000, OR = 65.512, 95% CI: [22.048, 98.835]). In conclusion, the insufficient ability of physicians to perform initial management hinders the implementation of clinical practice guidelines. This study suggests that the findings should be used as an input in the evaluation and development of training for physicians on the implementation of clinical practice guidelines. To evaluate carbonaceous components in the ambient air in the eastern region of Indonesia, 35 Total Suspended Particulate Matter (TSP) samples were collected on four characteristic roadsides on Sultan Alauddin Street, in Makassar City, using a high-volume air sampler. The average TSP concentration was 279.7 μg/m3, which exceeded both the National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) of Indonesia and the World Health Organization (WHO) standards. The highest concentration reached 838.6 μg/m3 in the GR (gravel) site, which had the highest number of vehicles and was near a U-turn. TSP concentration was higher during peak hours (morning and late afternoon) than off-peak hours (noon). The main component of the total carbon (TC) fraction was organic carbon (OC), which showed a strong correlation with elemental carbon (EC) (r values for the morning, noon, and late afternoon were 0.89, 0.87, and 0.97, respectively), indicating that the carbon components were derived from common sources. TSP had a strong correlation with carbon components, except for char-EC. OC vs. soot-EC and EC vs. soot-EC also correlated well, suggesting the dominant influence of vehicle exhaust emissions. Non-exhaust emissions had a slight influence during peak hours, particularly at the GR site. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Accurate reconstruction of hip anatomy and biomechanics is mandatory for achieving good clinical outcomes following total hip replacement (THR). Optimal stem alignment is essential to avoid impingement or loosening. This study aimed to evaluate sagittal stem position following cementless THR and its relationship with patient's functional outcome and post-operative radiological parameters. Method: We performed analytical observational study with cross-sectional design on 71 hips (67 patients, ranged 18–85 years old) that underwent primary cementless THR in two orthopedic centers in Jakarta, Indonesia. All hips were operated through either anterolateral or posterior approach using either extended/full-coating wedge-tapered stem or proximal-coated wedge-tapered stem. Clinical outcomes were evaluated at follow-up time using mHHS questionnaire, VAS level of thigh pain, and hip ROM. Stem sagittal alignment and other radiological parameters, including combined anteversion and offset, were measured from conventional radiograph. Results: There were no significant differences on mHHS score, VAS level on thigh pain, and ROM between stem alignment groups. Post-operative anteversion and offset of the implant were not affected by the stem sagittal position. All influencing factors have significant effect on sagittal stem alignment. Linear regression test on femur morphology showed 0.69° increase in stem posterior tilt for every 1° increase in the anterior bowing (coeff. = 0.502). Conclusion: Stem tilting in sagittal plane did not affect patient's functional outcome or post-operative radiological parameters. In addition, for every degree of increased anterior femoral bowing, 0.69° increase in posterior stem tilting can be expected. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The first formal level of education which is part of the education series in Indonesia is elementary school. Therefore, the role of educators or teachers in elementary schools is to bring as much knowledge as possible to this world in the child's activity environment, both internally and externally as a learning experience. One way educators can support children's learning process in another way is by providing creative and innovative learning media to stimulate interest in learning and foster children's critical thinking abilities. Coastal areas have become an important part of Indonesia's evolving economy, with a variety of commercial activities taking place. The island of Java has both northern and southern coastal areas, each with its own distinctive characteristics and products. The studies about coastal development through its product value chain are still limited. This study aimed to determine the value chain of fishery products in Java to provide recommendations for enhancing coastal management. For the northern coast, milkfish and ariid catfish from Juwana Coast (Pati Regency, Central Java) were selected, while Whiteleg Shrimp from Mendit Coast and Trisik Coast of Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta were chosen to represent the southern coast. The study involved 48 respondents, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), farmers, fishermen, wholesalers, middlemen, retailers, restaurants, and consumers. The analysis techniques used in this study included Porter's value chain, Hayami's added value, Return/Cost (R/C) Ratio, and marketing margin analysis. The results of the study revealed that the products followed various channels in the value chain, with longer chains leading to higher prices for the end consumers. The findings also indicated that processed and creatively packaged products tend to command higher prices and generate greater profits. Coastal management should not only focus on upstream activities but also consider downstream processes to increase the value of coastal products. Phyllanthus niruri grows easily in Indonesia and is widely used in traditional medicine. Differences in growing conditions, methods of preparation, and harvest time greatly affect the phytochemical contents, affecting the efficacy and toxicity of medicinal plants. This study aims to identify the phytochemical contents and toxicity and determine the antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of Phyllanthus niruri extract (PNE) commonly used by people in Aceh. Phytochemical analysis was carried out qualitatively and semi-quantitatively with GC-MS. A toxicity test was carried out with the brine shrimp lethality test (BSLT). The antioxidant activity was assessed by measuring IC50 against the DPPH system. Antimicrobial assays against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Candida albicans were determined based on the disc diffusion test. The results of this study indicate that PNE contains phenolics, flavonoids, tannins, steroids, saponins, and alkaloids. Based on the semiquantitative phytochemical analysis using GC-MS, the major phytochemical component of PNE is 2,3 dihydro-3-5-dihydroxy-6-methyl-4H-pyran-4-one, hexadecanoic acid, triazole derivates, linolenic acid, benzaldehyde 3,4-dimethoxy, hexahydroanthracene derivatives, and phytol. The LC50 PNE is 532.96 ppm. The IC50 value for PNE in inhibiting DPPH is 56.72 ppm. PNE has antimicrobial activity against S. aureus, directly proportional to the increase in concentration. PNE obtained in community yards in Aceh has a low level of toxicity with potent antioxidant and antimicrobial activity against S. aureus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As an archipelagic country, Indonesia has enormous resources from the sea such as the hydrokinetic energy of the ocean especially in eastern Indonesia. Since the lack of infrastructures and supporting facilities in eastern Indonesia, the study concerning the utilization of the ocean currents showed that the use of the floating platform of ocean current turbines is simpler and cheaper than the gravity type which is submerged in the bottom of the sea. The trimaran floater type has been widely used in shipping technology, moreover according to the trimaran study, it is stated that trimaran technology has advantages in terms of stability, better durability values, and wider deck space. However, the trimaran shapes have not been utilized as a platform for ocean current turbine. The purpose of the study is to conduct the numerical simulation for the trimaran shape as the platform of ocean current turbines. In the computational domain, the trimaran platform is considered fixed by 2 single mooring lines each at the endpoint of the middle float of trimaran, whilst it faces the ocean current at speed of 1.0 - 5.0 m/s. Overset mesh is employed to simulate the behavior of the platforms. The implicit unsteady simulation is set to calculate the 6 degrees of freedom of the ocean current loads and the motions of the platform. The results show relatively good trimaran's response motion in moored conditions with a maximum of 0.7 degrees of rotation in yaxis. Moreover, the mooring force in the x and z directions shows an increasing trend, reaching its maximum value at a current speed of 4.0 m/s with achieved values of 22.2 kN and -7.4 kN, respectively. However, this is different from pitch motion, where the highest pitch trend is achieved at a current speed of 2 m/s with an average rotation of 0.63°C. This study aims to determine the effect of the Work Environment, Work Motivation, and Work Experience on employee performance. This research technique utilizes a quantitative approach, the selected survey method being the primary data source. The primary data used for this study was in the form of a questionnaire given to 67 employees of PT. Pranaja Trimitra Indonesia. The data analysis technique in this study included multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing (t-test) which were processed using the SPSS 23 application. From the results of the study, it can be seen that work experience has a positive effect on employee performance, while the work environment and work motivation do not have a positive effect on employee performance. Protection of personal data is one of the rights possessed by humans, which is one of the privacy rights possessed by a person in maintaining and securing personal data owned by each individual. The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technology has developed rapidly in the digital world 4.0, where legal protection is needed in personal data protection legal instruments. This research aims to examine the use of AI as a tool in protecting personal data and to examine the urgency of a special regulation in Indonesia in protecting personal data. The research method used in writing this law is normative legal research. In this research, what is meant by juridical research is the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Law on Information, and Electronic Transactions Number 11 of 2008, the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Information Number 20 of 2016, Government Regulation Number 82 of 2012, and UDHR by conducting a study of legal products in the form of laws and regulations. Objective: To assess the perceptions of special-care dentistry (SCD) among dental students in the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Indonesia, Indonesia. Methods: This cross-sectional study used a self-administered online questionnaire, and all preclinical and clinical students were invited to participate. The survey items comprised four domains related to participants' characteristics, perceptions of SCD, perceptions of managing patients with special needs, and perceptions of SCD education. The chi-square test and Mann–Whitney test were used in the analysis. Results: A total of 572 students participated in this study. The findings showed that the clinical students were more familiar with SCD than the preclinical students were (p = 0.008). A statistically significant relationship was found between the study program and the ability to work independently with special-needs patients after graduation (p < 0.001), the ability to refer special-needs patients to specialists (p = 0.042), the perception of postgraduate training-program needs (p < 0.001), and the opportunity to consider postgraduate training (p = 0.004). Conclusion: Most of the respondents had a favorable perception of SCD. Thus, an improved SCD curriculum and SCD training for undergraduate and postgraduate students should be provided to develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide care to special-needs patients. Exploring the drivers of changes in ecosystem services is crucial to maintain ecosystem functionality, especially in the diverse Central Citarum watershed. This study utilises the integrated valuation of ecosystem service and trade-offs (InVEST) model and multiscale geographically weighted regression (MGWR) model to examine ecosystem services patterns from 2006 to 2018. The InVEST is a hydrological model to calculate water availability and evaluate benefits provided by nature through simulating alterations in the amount of water yields driven by land use/cover changes. Economic, topographic, climate, and vegetation factors are considered, with an emphasis on their essential components. The presence of a geographical link between dependent and explanatory variables was investigated using a multiscale geographic weighted regression model. The MGWR model is employed to analyse spatial impacts. The integration of both models simplified the process and enhanced its understanding. The findings reveal the following patterns: 1) decreasing land cover and increasing ecosystem services demand in the watershed, along with a decline in water yield, e.g. certain sub-districts encounter water scarcity, while others have abundant water resources; 2) the impact of natural factors on water yield shifts along vegetation > climate > topography (2006) changes to climate > vegetation > topography (2018). Background: The Indonesian Government launched chronic disease management program (PROLANIS) with the aim of improving clinical outcomes and preventing disease complications of patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the overwhelmed healthcare system shifted resources away from non-communicable diseases in the attempt to mitigate it. Thus, the implementation of PROLANIS during the COVID-19 pandemic might not be as optimal as before the pandemic era, leading to worse clinical outcomes. This pilot study aims to evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on PROLANIS in rural areas by analyzing the changes of metabolic control and renal function parameters. Methods: This study used data from three PROLANIS groups report in rural areas in East Java Province, Indonesia. Study population was PROLANIS participants who came for six-month-evaluation in December 2019 (T0), June 2020 (T1), and December 2020 (T2). Evaluated metabolic control parameters were body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, hemoglobin A1C (HbA1C), total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipid, low-density lipid, and triglyceride (TG), whereas evaluated renal function parameters were blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine, and urinary albumin. Independent t-test and Wilcoxon signed-rank test were used for statistical analyses. p-value <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: Among 52 PROLANIS participants included in the analyses, four metabolic control parameters (BMI, blood pressure, TC, and TG) and all renal function parameters significantly worsened right after the pandemic started but improved 6 months afterwards. Meanwhile, HbA1C continuously worsened throughout the study period, albeit statistically insignificant. Placemaking approach is used to highlight the uniqueness and strength of a place. This study uses qualitative methods, with descriptive analysis. Protection of coral reefs in Indonesia from damage caused by foreign ships is an important issue in preserving the maritime environment. is based on Law Number 27 of 2007 and the 1982 Law of the Sea Convention (UNCLOS 1982) which provides the legal basis for protecting marine ecosystems. Steps to increase coral reef protection include setting up zones that limit ship activities, implementing sanctions and strict fines, development of an effective monitoring system, increasing public awareness about the impacts of foreign vessels, and educating fishermen about sustainable fishing practices. International cooperation is an important aspect in dealing with this problem, with collaboration between Indonesia, neighboring countries, and organizations international. This joint effort aims to preserve coral reefs which are a valuable natural resource for Indonesia. The importance of preserving coral reefs as a crucial ecosystem and valuable natural resource for Indonesia must not be ignored.
