The increase in borderless digital-based business competition shows how language education is impacted by neoliberalism in this global era. We explore how linguistic technopreneurship (LT) roles is increasingly constructed as a form of linguistic entrepreneurship to exploit language-related resources to enhance one's socioeconomic value strategically. This research aims to critically examine the influence of LT toward business success digitalization for Small Medium Enterprises in West Java and it's implication for Language Education. The research also focusing on the creation of novelty, namely linguistic technopreneurship (LT), which is a refinement of entrepreneurial linguistics (EL). LT is expected to be able to explain how linguistic entrepreneurship can be indexed from two different aspects, namely how to package language education and digital business success. We then discuss under what conditions the notion of linguistic technopreneurship can be applied to digital platform-based business settings and what kind of contradictions this gives rise to. The method used is quantitative, and it involves carrying out SEM analysis. A non-probability sampling technique was used to obtain a minimum of 250 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Industry owners who run their businesses through digital platforms in West Java province, which is the province with the most significant number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Industries in Indonesia. The research results show that LT significantly influences the success of business success and impact the language education practice. It can be concluded that language education is an added value for a person and influences socioeconomic success.

As humanity reaches the 5.0 industrial revolution, education plays a critical role in boosting the quality of human resources. This paper reports bibliometric research on emerging TiP during 1993-2022 in the educational field to analyse its development on any level of education during the last three decades. This study employed a Scopus database. The findings are that the trend of TiP publication in educational fields has tended to increase every year during the past three decades and conference paper became the most published document type, the USA is the country which produces the most publications; "Students" being the most occurrences keyword and total link strength. The publication of the TiP is ranked to the Quartile 1, which implies that a publication with the cited performance is a publication with credibility because the publisher has a good reputation. Researchers can find the topics most relevant to other metadata sources such as Web of Science, Publish, and Perish.

This study aims to determine the relationship between students' perception to the learning media, digital literacy skills, and self-regulated learning with students' cognitive learning outcomes in the rural area. This study was the ex post facto with quantitative data. The method used was differential causal comparative with multiple linear regression analysis. The three variables were measured using a questionnaire, cognitive learning outcomes was measured by test. The results showed that students' perception to the learning media, digital literacy skills, and self-regulated learning on students' cognitive learning outcomes had a moderate simultaneous relationship. The findings also showed that the contribution of self-regulated learning to the cognitive learning outcomes was the higher (71.42%). The contribution of the three variables to cognitive learning outcomes was 86.41%. Based on related facts, research recommendations can be expanded by measuring from several other rural areas and examining several other variables, especially those that support the learning process oriented towards empowering 21st century competencies by utilizing the latest technological developments and that can reach all regions of Indonesia, especially in rural areas so as to minimize the gap in the quality of education in Indonesia.

The implementation of "Merdeka Belajar -- Kampus Merdeka" (Freedom to Learn) in Indonesia urges universities to adapt and set changes in learning activities. One of the changes is the implementation of Project-Based Learning to increase students' activeness and creativity. This research aims to assess students' creative thinking on the implementation of Project-Based Learning. This research was a descriptive case study with a qualitative approach. Purposive sampling was chosen in this research because the sample was chosen on purpose, i.e., those who joined literary criticism class. There were ten students who played as the subject of the research. It used observation sheets and questionnaires to obtain the data. The data were then analyzed to get reliable results of students' creative thinking assessment. The result showed that some students (40%) strongly agreed that they faced some difficulties in developing their creative thinking. Most of their problems were about developing ideas into coherence text, structuring or organizing a good text, and choosing appropriate vocabulary to avoid repetition in the text. Students also found that project-based learning allowed them to develop their creative thinking in forms of independence, confidence, creativity, tolerance, and leadership. Regarding the result, it can be concluded that project-based learning is proven to be beneficial in developing students' creative thinking, though they find some obstacles during the process.

The merdeka curriculum is a curriculum whose learning structure is divided into two main activities, namely learning that refers to student learning outcomes in each subject and projects to strengthen the Pancasila student profile. A digital pocketbook is an electronic book that contains information in the form of text or images that can be displayed on a digital screen. This study aims to analyze the use of digital pocket books to support the implementation of the merdeka curriculum in physics learning. This study uses a literature study research method by reviewing 30 articles that can be accounted for on the use of digital pocket books to support the implementation of the merdeka curriculum in physics learning. The results of the study found that 1) The use of digital pocket books was declared effective in learning physics. 2) The advantage of using digital pocketbooks to support the merdeka curriculum in physics learning is that it can improve students' understanding of concepts, problem solving, and cognitive outcomes. 3) The weakness of using digital pocketbooks is that digital pocketbooks are enough to drain smartphone memory.

The main objective of research is to ascertain the existing situation of STEAM education research over three decades based on the Scopus database. The entire documents are 256 findings globally data shorted by year, region, and highest cited to 100 documents. The analysis technique used VOSViewer, Microsoft Excel and word cloud generator. The result of document type article is ranks first in Global and conference paper rank first in South East Asia. The sources that have published the top cited papers are "Journal of Small Business Management" in global and the "Education Sciences" in South East Asia. Meanwhile, the author with the most citations is Jeon M from the U.S.A. Specifically, the country with the most publications is US with 31 articles and 2553 citations. Whereas the majority of Southeast Asian countries have 9 articles and 10 citations. Supported the visualization analysis, VOSViewer's global region is divided into 4 clusters and 62 keywords to assist with the visualization analysis. A pair of clusters containing 14 keywords each for the South Asia region. The terms program, project, environment, model, and implication are frequently used in STEAM throughout the world. The keyword STEAM education appears in analyses conducted in South-East Asia. The outcome of this research can serve as a resource for scholars interested in STEAM and education. Further research into STEAM education trends can be conducted by focusing on a single region or on more specific issues.

The capacity to interrogate data with critical thinking is a strong predictor of statistical literacy (SL). This data interrogation, from the data consumers' perspective, incorporates four complex response skills: "interpreting," "communicating," "evaluating," and "decision-making," and those skills are strongly supported by students' appreciation of three interrelated knowledge components ("text and context," "representation," and "statistical-mathematical knowledge"). Due to the need to be critical data-information readers, students' SL should develop during their formal schooling. The aim of this paper was to investigate differences in SL between Indonesian year 9 and year 12 students and between female and male students. The same test was administered to 48 year 9 students (50% females) and 48 year 12 students (50% females) from 16 different schools in Indonesia. Findings revealed that the highest percentage of year 9 and 12 students demonstrated evidence of "consistent but non-critical thinking" (level 4), suggesting that they exhibited their statistical knowledge but not in critical ways. There were 42% of year 9 students showing limited statistical thinking (levels 1 to 3) compared to 17% of year 12 students. Furthermore, while there were no significant gender differences in students' SL and its all skills, the study shows significant grade level differences in overall SL as well as in its skills except "interpreting." Implications of this study include the development of a framework that provides a coherent assessment of students' SL from a data consumers' perspective, along with suggestions for classroom teaching.

This research investigates the abilities of undergraduate students to apply scientific reasoning in Indonesia, with a particular focus on the concept of force and motion. Forty-three first-year undergraduate students from an Indonesian private institution, comprising 20 males and 23 females, performed the Scientific Reasoning Test of Motion (SRTM) in five different patterns of scientific reasoning. The current research combines quantitative and qualitative analysis. The findings reveal that the SRTM is a valid and reliable instrument. While no significant gender-based differences were observed in Correlational Thinking (CT), differences emerged in Control of Variables (CV), Proportional Thinking (PPT), Probabilistic Thinking (PBT), and Hypothetical-Deductive Reasoning (HDR). These results indicate that PBT, HDR, and CT are applicable across gender groups, although students struggle with scientific reasoning. Specifically, the students had misconceptions regarding projectile motion and applying Newton's second law in practical situations. These findings indicate the necessity for further developing students' abilities to apply scientific reasoning.

Geography education usually faces the problem of a monotonous learning process. Therefore, educators constantly seek better teaching strategies to present interesting and enjoyable classes. The main objective of this study is to 'present learning technology to improve geoheritage understanding' through an open-access website powered by interactive virtual reality. This is research and development, adopted the Plomp development model. Data collection used a validation test on the material, media experts, and trials on 20 students and a geography teacher. The results of the validation and trials, interactive virtual reality media can be declared feasible for learning digital geography in schools. This media can increase students' motivation, curiosity, and in-depth experience in studying the process of rock formation and lithosphere dynamics in the Ijen Geopark area.

The purpose of this research is to discover how early literacy activities are implemented during COVID-19 pandemic in Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. Since the offline meeting at school has been discontinued, the research sample consists of 400 parents in Pekanbaru who were recruited online. This research method is descriptive in quantitative terms and provides an overview of the performance of literacy activities in Pekanbaru Riau. A questionnaire with A Likert Scale Model was used to collect data. The percentage descriptive technique was used for data analysis with IBM SPSS for Windows Version 23. The results showed that the implementation of literacy activities in Pekanbaru kindergarten was carried out through the parent participation in early childhood literacy development. According to the findings, four indicators that children must have in order to develop early literacy well (vocabulary, narrative, print awareness, and print motivation) are in the high category or more than 65%. Meanwhile, the Letter Knowledge and Phonological Awareness skills are sufficient, at around 60%. Overall, the results of this study are in the high category (64.5%), indicating that literacy activities in Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia, have involved parents in the advancement of early childhood literacy skills.

The objective of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of the blended web mobile learning model in improving Higher Order Thinking Skills-based learning outcomes of high school students. This research is a quasi-experiment design. The research sample was 137 students from 2 senior high schools in East Java Province - Indonesia. Before implementing the BWML model using MoLearn, both groups of students were tested (pre-test) and after the learning was complete, students were again given the same test (post-test). The collected data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test; calculation of n-gain; and the Mann-Whitney U test. The results shows that biology learning using the BWML Model is effective in improving student learning outcomes as indicated by: (1) an increase in student learning outcomes which is statistically significant at [alpha]=5%, (2) the average of n-gain is in the medium category, and (3) the mean of n-gain has no difference in the two groups of students.

Textbooks currently circulating have not been adapted to online learning systems and their contents are less interactive, less communicative, and have not been based on local content potential. This research aimed to produce digital textbooks based on Madura local content and augmented reality to improve students' scientific reasoning ability. This research development was done based on ASSURE instructional design, between July and August 2020. This research involved 15 students of SMP Al-Hikam Burneh, Bangkalan-Madura. The assessments of the digital textbook were done to decide its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Furthermore, the students' scientific reasoning abilities were measured using pretest and posttest. The validity data obtained were analyzed descriptively using percentages, while students' scientific reasoning skills were analyzed using gain scores. The results showed that the percentage values were 87.5% for content validity (valid), 91.10% for media (very valid), 87.41% for technical (very valid), and 88.9% for practicality (valid). In addition, the students' scientific reasoning skills were classified as effective based on the gain scores achieved in each indicator i.e., 0.49 (argumentation), 0.45 (existing knowledge), 0.38 (methodology), 0.43 (analysis), and 0.40 (concluding). Thus, the digital textbook developed is effective to improve students' scientific reasoning skills.

The pandemic has indeed provided students and teachers worldwide with the experience of technology-infused teaching. Even though the pandemic is almost over, the utilization of technology in mathematics education is still needed and inseparable. Relying on cross-sectional design and phenomenological approach, this research investigates senior high school students' perceptions towards AI-based learning, particularly about their understanding and suggestions towards AI-based learning in mathematics in the context of post-pandemic. The participants of the study were 107 students coming from several islands in Indonesia, ranging from grade 10-12, with an age interval of 15-18 years old. The instruments used were the questionaries with open-ended questions in Microsoft forms distributed to mathematics teachers in several WhatsApp groups. The data were then analyzed through a multistage descriptive and pattern coding process. The findings showed that students need to be facilitated with AI, which can display understandable visualization and provide guidance to solve mathematical problems. It is expected that the present study's findings offer researchers in Indonesia and abroad to disseminate and/or implement AI learning in the form of Intelligent Tutoring Systems.

Currently, physics education is a science that is still considered abstract by many students and the public. Thus, there is a need for information on the current trends in physics education to adapt to the current situation. Based on the Scopus, the research objective is to explore the ongoing trends in the last ten years and during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a bibliometric and bibliometric analysis. The findings show that research related to physics education is dominated by the most developed during the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-2021) countries Indonesia. Meanwhile, the Journal of Physics Conference Series is the journal that publishes the most publications (Scopus) related to physics education, followed by the AIP Conference Proceeding. Research implication to research, librarian, and policy maker. (1) Research and development need to be carried out in-depth related to the growing trend of physics education so that it can be published in Scopus; (2) Cooperation and collaboration between other universities to increase publications at the international level; and (3) The need for continuous research to follow current trends.

The magnetic field is a more complex and abstract physics subject than other physics subjects, causing students' low ability to solve problems. So there is a need for learning instruments to overcome these problems, especially when online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Research creates and implements an online problem-based learning (OPBL) assisted by digital books with 3D animation to improve students' physics problem-solving skills on magnetic field subjects. Research aimed to analyze the validity, effectiveness, and student responses to the learning instruments used. The method used in this research is quantitative by using quasi-experiment and survey methods. The results showed that this learning instrument was valid and reliable to use in terms of contents and constructs. According to statistical test results, this learning instrument is also effective in improving students' problem-solving skills on magnetic field subjects. Furthermore, the student's response to this learning instrument was very positive, making this learning activity more innovative and fun. Research implies that an OPBL assisted by digital books with 3D animation instruments can be a solution to improve students' physics problem-solving skills, especially during the online learning period.

Scientific literacy is the ability to explain phenomena and solve problems using scientific knowledge. Despite being an important factor in the scientific and technological advancement of society, students worldwide struggle to attain the skills necessary to demonstrate competency in scientific literacy. This study examines the capacity for a cognitive style-based learning strategy (CSBLS) to improving students' environmental knowledge and scientific literacy. 55 students from two Indonesian state junior high schools (SMPN) participated in the research; 30 students from SMPN 6, Banjarmasin and 25 students from SMPN 21, Banjarmasin. The CSBLS was applied during six classroom meetings over a three week period using a group pre-test and post-test on the topic of environmental pollution. The study concluded that the CSBLS was able to improve students' environmental knowledge and scientific literacy. In addition, the learning strategy supported students different cognitive styles (Field Independent/FI and Field Dependent/FD, although scaffolding was still needed for tasks that required more complex thinking such as scientific literacy, particularly for FD. This research indicates that a CSBLS has the potential to improve students' environmental knowledge and scientific literacy throughout the learning process.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Blended Project-Based Learning (BPjBL) with the STEM approach to spatial thinking skill and geography skill and student's attitudes in implementing the learning. The research design used quasi-experimental research and independent t-test and paired t-test as data analysis. The selection of population was used random sampling techniques to second-year students of National Senior High School 1. Population in this study was the social science class at SMA Negeri 1 Kepanjen Malang, Indonesia. The students were divided into two groups, experimental group from social class 1, which used the BPjBL and control group from social class 3, which used the conventional method. The results showed that there was a significant influence of BPjBL with STEM approach to spatial thinking skill and geography skill. The changes in students' attitudes also shown significantly towards spatial thinking skill and geography skill. This research proved that the application of project-based learning could develop spatial thinking skill and geography skill as 21st-century learning objectives.

School space plays an essential role in creating a pleasurable learning atmosphere. The tendency of everyone to choose a school space also varies. By knowing this trend pattern, schools can be designed to improve student learning effectiveness. The purpose of this study was to find out which school spaces students choose to study, what kind of room criteria are needed, and distribution patterns of students' preference choices. This research used both the qualitative exploratory and quantitative methods using an open-ended question questionnaire for data collection. Data analysis techniques used qualitative analysis methods consisting of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The results showed that the library, mosque, and multimedia laboratory were the most preferred space for students to study at school. Some factors that influence the selection include thermal comfort, completeness of supporting facilities, and acoustic comfort.

This study investigates what has been done by EFL teachers in higher education level or EFL lecturers in the teaching of writing. This study involves seven research subjects who have taught writing for English Department students for at least three years. The data were collected through in-depth interview. The data were then analyzed through open, axial, and selective coding. In relation to development of teaching techniques for teaching writing, the most frequent activity done by the research subjects is to attend workshop and seminar/conference on writing and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). The most frequent activity conducted to improve pedagogical competence on material development for writing class is to read literature or article on materials development for writing class from textbook or the internet. As an addition, the most frequent activity the lecturers conducted to develop their pedagogical competence in classroom management is conduct sharing session with fellow and/or senior lecturers. Finally, the most frequent activities the lecturers conducted to improve their pedagogical competence in assessment/evaluation for writing are to read literature or article on 'assessment/evaluation for writing class' from textbook, journal, thesis, dissertation, and the internet, and conduct sharing session with fellow and senior writing lecturers and expert in writing. Future researchers can develop this study into pedagogical competence in the other English skills (reading, speaking, listening) or other types of competence pivotal for English lecturers (personal, social, and professional). These will have a positive contribution toward development of English as Foreign Language in Indonesian context.

The Wademen Model was chosen to develop the Online Scientific Creativity Learning (OSCL). The quality of OSCL is measured using an expert validation sheet. Students' scientific creativity is assessed using the Scientific Creativity Test Instrument (SCTI) and then analyzed through N-gain and parametric inferential statistical tests. The OSCL has been proven effective in increasing students' scientific creativity during the COVID-19 pandemic. There is no significant difference (N-gain at a moderate level) between OSCL and Creativity Responsibility Based Learning (CRBL), except with Conventional Learning (N-gain at low level). The results of students' scientific creativity are at a high level after using OSCL and CRBL, while conventional learning is low. The OSCL can be an alternative for the scientific creativity of students in science education. Besides, OSCL facilitates the responsibility and science process skills which are characteristic of being emphasized in the learning phases. The OSCL can be a learning innovation in science education to improve students' scientific creativity in the COVID-19 pandemic

Teaching-learning of the Arabic language has emerged as vital in both Muslim and non-Muslim countries. However, a lack of studies exists on measuring the technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) of Arabic language teachers. Thus, this study explores Indonesian Arabic teachers' TPACK and provides a conceptualization that the elements of TPACK are not separate; rather, each element facilitates the sustenance of other elements. To achieve this objective, a quantitative research approach is undertaken using a validated and reliable questionnaire. Data is collected from 320 teachers (snowball sampling) using Google forms. The data analysis reflects the inter-relation of the elements of TPACK, with a satisfactory TPACK of the Indonesian Arabic teachers. Additional findings suggest that teachers use technology minimally in designing tasks or even assessments despite their strong technological background. Further studies are recommended to explore teachers' roles, teacher development programs, and religious motivation in achieving higher TPACK of Arabic language teaching.

This study aimed to determine the factors that influence student learning comfort in the classroom and its distribution. This explorative study employed 772 students who were elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school students in several Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta schools. Data collection techniques using open questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses qualitative analysis which consists of three stages: open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The results showed that the factors that influence learning comfort of students in the classroom include: air circulation, quietness, cleanliness, adequate & supportive facilities, and peer attendance. These five factors are among other factors that are grouped into two: 1) factors originating from the physical environment (of building & site themes and of indoor space themes); and 2) factors from within its occupants (of human themes). The theme that shows the highest influence comes from the physical conditions in the classroom, that is indoor space themes.

Science process skills play an important role in the advancement of society because they contribute to the emergence of new knowledge and technology. In this study, researchers analyzed the effectiveness of the cognitive style-based learning strategy (CSBLS) in improving elementary students' science process skills. The CSBLS was implemented over five weeks in science classes at two elementary schools in Indonesia and evaluated using a pre-test-post-test method. The results showed that, overall, the students'science process skills increased from "poor" to "good" level. The weakest science process skill identified in the students was the ability to conduct experiments, including stating hypotheses or operational questions to be tested, identifying and controlling variables, and making operational definitions. The study demonstrates that the CSBLS accommodates students with different levels of cognitive development and cognitive styles (e.g., field dependent and field independent) to optimally improve their science process skills, providing a significant contribution to elementary education.

Regarding the need for lecturers to upgrade their competence in making use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and internet in their teaching practices in 4.0 era as stated in The Teachers and Lecturers Act No.14/2005, this study aims to investigate the use of internet application for teaching students in the university level. More specifically, this study is intended to find out the kinds of internet applications used by lecturers in Universitas Brawijaya in their teaching practices. This study employs a mixed-method resulting in qualitative and quantitative data. Data are collected using questionnaires distributed to 137 young lecturers with an age range of 30-40 years representing 16 faculties at Universitas Brawijaya. Then, it is continued with interviews in the form of Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to capture further information related to the use of the applications. The results show that Google Classroom has been used by most of the participants. Then the other kinds of internet applications used include Kahoot.com, Edmodo, Virtual Learning, EdPuzzle, Email, Moodle, WPLMS, Youtube, Google Form, Blog, Turnitin, Quissis, Classmaker, and Schoology. In relation to the limitations of the present study, future researchers are recommended to investigate the implementation of each of the applications to find out its effectiveness in helping students learn the subject-matter being taught. Moreover, further research related to students' perceptions in the use of the above-mentioned applications is important to be done. Also, investigating the use of internet-based applications for students in different grades and levels of education is still an interesting area to be studied further.

Reading is the basic literacy as the foundation for intellectual development. Researchers found that Indonesian students have low reading competence. This is due to the fact that they do not possess a good reading habit. Hence, the study aimed at investigating the effect of local culture-based storybooks, one of which is a fable on students' reading competence and analyzing the effect size of the treatment. It was an experimental research administering post-test only control group design. The population was sixth grade students of elementary schools in Buleleng Regency, Bali. The samples were determined using intact group cluster random sampling technique of 34 students from two elementary schools. Experimental group was treated by using storybook, whereas control group was taught by using text-based story. The data were collected through post-test. The obtained data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using t-test. Cohen's d was administered to check the effect size. The result proves that there was a significant effect of local culture-based storybook on students' reading competence, while Cohen's d shows that the effect size was medium. Thus, teachers are recommended to regularly use stories for improving reading competence.

Indonesia has many higher learning institutions both public and private sectors such as colleges, polytechnics, institutes and universities and they are competing among them to get students to enroll in their institutions. It has become competitive among them to get students than before. The growing competition among higher learning institutions had forced them to strive to improve their service quality provided to students. The student satisfaction of service quality can be divided into two parts, namely satisfaction in academic and non-academic. The purpose of this research is to determine whether the academic and non-academic service quality affect student satisfaction of Economics Faculty Universitas Negeri Semarang. This research used an exploratory method that explaining the relationship between hypothesis testing, making prediction and getting the implicit meaning of problems that want to be solved. This study was conducted at the Economics Faculty of Universitas Negeri Semarang. The data analysis used SEM PLS. The population in this study were students from the Economics Faculty of Universitas Negeri Semarang who registered in 2015 and graduated in 2018. The total number of population in this study were 3,596 students majoring in Economics Education, Accounting, Management, and Economic Development. This study used a stratified sampling technique where students from all disciplines and levels were determined using the Slovin formula. Questionnaires were distributed to a sample of 360 students and were administered by trained enumerators. Data were collected using self-administered assessment questionnaires of a five Likert scale and analyzed using SEM PLS 6.0 Warp PLS. The results of this research were, first, academic service quality did not influence student satisfaction. Second, the non-academic service quality has a positive and significant influence on student satisfaction. This is because the supported learning infrastructure was found to be a factor that satisfied the students compared to teaching methods that was carried out by faculty members. It was also found that attitude and behavior in academic aspect were not significant in improving the students' satisfaction. Therefore, it is suggested that Faculty of Economics of UNNES should focus on maintaining and improving the service quality of non-academic aspects in order to compete with other higher learning institutions.

Group Science Learning (GSL) is collaborative problem solving based learning by design to improve collaborative problem solving skills, science process skills, and self-confidence of primary schools teacher candidates. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of GSL model to improve collaborative problem solving skills and self-confidence of primary schools teacher candidates on basic science learning in academic year 2018. This research used one group pre-test and post-test design on 119 primary schools' teacher candidates that were divided into four groups. The data collection methods were conducted by using collaborative problem solving skills test that was emphasized on participation indicator, perspective taking, social regulation, learning and knowledge building, and task regulation; questionnaire of self-confidence was emphasized on: ability indicator, motivation, and perseverance. The data analysis was done by using Paired sample t-test and n-gain. The results showed that there was a significant increase in collaborative problem solving skills and self-confidence at [alpha]=5%, with post-test and n-gain score average in high category for all four groups. Thus, the GSL model is effective to enhance collaborative problem solving skills and self-confidence of primary schools' teacher candidates.

This research was carried out to analyze the efficiency of research in Indonesian universities and explore performance differences between knowledge areas. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) was used to evaluate the efficiency based on the data of 47 universities in the "Mandiri" cluster between 2014 and 2018 and 11 research fields including 10 National Research Priority in Indonesia and one field of mathematics and natural sciences. For this assessment, a total of two inputs and five different outputs were defined. The results showed that the maritime sector consistently had an efficiency value below 1. In addition, the variable, number of employees had more influence on the efficiency value than budget. A significant degree of variety was observed in the difference between the lowest and highest efficiency for each research subject at the Decision-Making Unit (DMU) level.

Pre-service chemistry teachers should have the 21st century competence such as critical thinking skill. Unfortunately, the critical thinking skill dan self-efficacy level of Indonesian pre-service chemistry teachers is still low. Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and Inquiry model have been implemented widely to improve the critical thinking skills and self-efficacy of pre-service chemistry teachers; however, weaknesses were found such as the need to improve self-efficacy and investigation process based on science process skill. Therefore, innovation was created to develop Scientific Critical Thinking (SCT) Learning Model based on strengths and weaknesses of PBL model and Inquiry model. This innovation was also supported by theories and empirical study. This study serves as preliminary study in the process of SCT learning model development to improve the critical thinking skills and self-efficacy of pre-service chemistry teachers. This study covers need analysis, literature review, and field survey. Result shows that the innovation can stand as the basis of hypothetic SCT learning model development. SCT learning model syntax covers: student orientation, scientific activity, presentation of scientific activity result, critical thinking task completion; and evaluation. Hypothetic SCT learning model should be tested to fulfill the validity, practicality, and effectiveness aspects to improve the critical thinking skills and self-efficacy of preservice chemistry teachers.

This Research & Development (R & D) aims to develop and produce a qualified Group Science Learning (GSL) model. The main product is the GSL model that has the following syntax: (1) Motivation and problem orientation based on Internet of things, (2) Collaborative problem-solving activities, (3) Presenting, (4) Nonroutine problem-solving, and (5) Evaluation. The GSL model quality data was obtained through the Focus Group Discussion by using the GSL model quality assessment instrument. The GSL model quality analysis used average validity score, single measures ICC, and Cronbach's coefficient alpha. The results show that the developed GSL model is qualified. The research implies that the qualified GSL model by the expert judgment can improve the skills of collaborative problem-solving, science process and self-confidence of primary school teacher candidates.

Survival analysis is a statistical method, a part of the Generalized Linear Models, used to study the survival time of an individual to an event. The application of survival analysis is indispensable in open and distance education, like Universitas Terbuka (UT), Indonesia. This analysis can determine students' durability of study opportunities within a certain time. The analysis showed that the appropriate survival model to describe the covariate that was supposed to influence the study durability of the UT students of the Non Basic Education Program was Log Logistics. Covariate that influenced the survival of study was course of study, age, marital status, employment status, educational background, number of credits taken, 1st semester's result, Grade Point Average (GPA), and the courses taken per semester.

Using Collaborative Creativity Learning (CCL) model that is integrated with PhET simulation, this study aims to improve students' scientific creativity in natural science lesson. This research is an experimental study. The sample in this study is 144 junior high school students. The practicality and effectiveness of CCL model that is integrated with PhET simulation was measured by using practical learning observation sheet, scientific creativity test sheet, and student response questionnaire. The data was analysed using t-test, descriptively and qualitatively. The CCL model that is integrated with PhET simulation to improve students' scientific creativity has been proven to be: (1) Practical (applicable in learning and practical and reliable category) and (2) Effective includes--(a) a significant increase in students' scientific creativity at a = 5%, (b) the average n-gain of students' scientific creativity was medium, and (c) the student's response to each component of learning was very positive. The implication of this research is that the CCL model that is integrated with PhET simulation can be used as a solution to improve students' creativity in a natural science lesson.

CCDSR teaching model is physics teaching with the scientific activities by design to improve science process skills and its learning. This research was conducted to develop and produce a qualified CCDSR teaching model to improve the science process skills of pre-service physics teachers. The analysis of CCDSR teaching models' quality was done by using mean validity score, Cronbach's coefficient alpha, Paired t-test, N-gain, and ANOVA test. The results showed that the CCDSR teaching model was proved to be qualified (valid, practical, and effective) to improve the science process skills of pre-service physics teachers. Based on response results was that the CCDSR teaching model can improve the learning skills of science process skills (designing and implementing science process skills learning) owned by pre-service physics teachers. The implication of this research is that the CCDSR teaching model can be an innovative solution to improve science process skills of pre-service physics teachers.

Critical thinking skills are one of the 21st century skills that are effectively trained by using the OR-IPA and Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model, therefore this research aims to compare the effectiveness of both. Research design used True Experiment with Randomized Subject Control-group Pre-test and Post-test with 94 pre-service physics teachers. Data collected using the critical thinking skills test and the student response sheet, and then analyzed using t-test and N-gain. The results showed: (1) the teaching instruments of OR-IPA and PBL Model have fulfilled the validity requirements (r[alpha] ~ 0.26) and reliability ([alpha] = 0.96 - 0.99). (2) Each of OR-IPA, PBL, and Conventional Model can significantly increase critical thinking skills at [alpha] = 5%, respectively with average N-gain: medium (0.60), medium (0.48), and low (0.14); with the student response of: very positive, very positive, and less positive. (3) The OR-IPA and PBL Model are effective to improve critical thinking skills, while the Conventional Model is ineffective, and the OR-IPA Model is more effective compared to the PBL Model. Implication of this research is that the OR-IPA Model can be an innovative solution to improve critical thinking skills, but there is still a need for repetitive research like this.

The Creative Responsibility Based Teaching (CRBT) model is an innovative physics-teaching model designed to enhance students' scientific creativity and responsibility. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the effectiveness of CRBT model to improve scientific creativity and first year students' responsibility on Basic Physics learning in academic year 2016/2017. This research used one group pre-test and posttest design on 144 students divided into 4 groups at University of Lambung Mangkurat, South Kalimantan (Indonesia). The data collection methods were conducted by using: scientific creativity tests emphasized on unusual uses indicator, problem finding, product improvement, creatively science problem solving, creatively experiment designing, and creatively product design; questionnaire of responsibility emphasized on: participatory indicator, respecting others, cooperation, leadership, and delivering opinion; and interviews. The data analysis technique was done by using paired t-test / Wilcoxon test, n-gain, and ANOVA / Kruskal-Wallis test. The results showed that there was a significant increase in students' scientific creativity and responsibility at [Alpha] = 5%, with n-gain average of moderate category, and both were not different (consistent) for all four groups. Thus, the CRBT model is effective for enhancing students' scientific creativity and responsibility.

Forest and land fires cause substantial economic, social, and environmental devastation. Interagency forest and land fire management has succeeded in decreasing the impact of these fires, particularly in Indonesia. Having comprehensive information on fire locations and frequencies will benefit national forest and land fire management programmes. This study describes nearly a decade of satellite-based burned area (BA) monitoring conducted by the Indonesian government. We discuss (1) the history of BA mapping in Indonesia, (2) the most recent techniques for producing monthly BA maps, (3) an evaluation of product accuracy, (4) advantages and disadvantages, and (5) recommendations for future research. The most recent approach combines manual and digital classification, primarily using Landsat images, but has been supplemented with Sentinel data since 2020. The digital analysis, named the normalized burn ratio difference index threshold, was used to distinguish between burned and unburned pixels, guiding the interpreter's manual digitization. BA confidence levels were determined using active fire products and ground truth data. We engaged provincial and local agency stakeholders to verify the products and provide quality assurance. We also assessed product performance by examining high-resolution images captured at three different locations to ascertain the relative advantages and disadvantages, which varied depending on each region's fire regime. Small fires and cloud cover reduced the accuracy of the national monthly BA product. However, the omission error decreased by 65% when all fires throughout the entire year were considered. The inclusion of all available Sentinel-2 (A and B) images yielded higher accuracy than using only Landsat 8 data. We conclude that Indonesia's cloud coverage constraint requires additional observational data to obtain clear-sky imagery when using optical sensors, in addition to the adjusted technique. We urge the introduction of reliable digital classifications for all Indonesian fire regimes to simplify resource deployment and reduce manual labour operations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Indonesia is a country with a rich array of traditional meals renowned for their health benefits and potential to serve as functional foods, including dadih. Several studies have shown that dadih is a traditional fermented product from Indonesia, with various culinary applications. In addition, it is typically produced from fermented buffalo milk, which forms an unchanged or broken lump when fermented at room temperature. This product is also widely consumed by the Minangkabau ethnic group in Central Sumatra (nowadays known as the provinces of West Sumatra, Riau, Kepulauan Riau, and Jambi), holding a significant position in their culinary practices. Dadih is often traditionally processed through spontaneous fermentation in bamboo containers without the need for additional inoculation with buffalo milk. The indigenous dadih lactic acid bacteria has been evaluated to have several advantages, including immunomodulatory, antioxidant, antimutagenic, hypocholesterolemic, and antimicrobial properties, by various mechanisms. Stunting is a failure of child growth characterized by a lack of height for age Z-score caused by chronic nutritional problems. Stunting has a negative impact on the quality of human resources in the future. Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) is the province with the highest stunting cases in Indonesia. LKC Dompet Dhuafa NTT help to accelerate stunting mitigation carried out in Kawasan Sehat Program. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of stunting interventions through The Kawasan Sehat Program in Oebelo Village. This research is a qualitative and quantitative evaluative research with input-process-output approach. The selection of informants purposive sampling technique with seven informants. Primary data were collected by interviews and observations. Meanwhile, secondary data is carried out by reviewing documents. In the input component, there are still constraints in the adequacy of facilities, infrastructure, and cadre transportation. In the process component, necessary to enhance partnerships and strengthen the commitment of the target groups of the program. In the output component, there has been a decrease in stunting prevalence from 8% to 4%. There are several factors that affect the output such as economic factors, sanitation, and customs. Concluded that the stunting interventions in Kawasan Sehat Oebelo were effective and all components of inputs-processes-outputs were running well. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

(1) Background: This study aims to investigate differences in the perspectives of healthcare professionals (HCPs) and adults with spinal cord injury (SCI) on resistance exercise intensity in Asian countries in association with knowledge translation (KT). Also, it verifies the appropriateness of the conventional indicators for resistance exercise intensity in an Asian context. (2) Methods: 121 certified HCPs and 107 adults with SCI participated in a survey conducted in Indonesian, Japanese, Korean and Thai languages. The survey asked what principles are important for prescribing resistance exercise, and if 'moderate' and 'vigorous' were appropriate terms for indicating an intensity level. Perspective differences were examined between both groups and, further, between countries from a psychosocial perspective. (3) Results: Of the HCPs, 92% perceived that resistance exercise intensity was far more important than frequency, time or type of exercise while frequency (61%) followed by intensity (58%) was perceived as important by respondents with SCI. Only Japanese respondents with SCI agreed with the HCPs' perception of intensity. Both HCPs and respondents with SCI showed unfavorable responses to the usage of 'moderate' and 'vigorous' for describing resistance exercise intensity, especially Japanese HCPs and respondents with SCI from Indonesia. (4) Conclusions: Our findings suggest that non-HCPs must improve their perceptions of exercise intensity. The Indonesian government will reverse the mandatory option for schools to conduct limited face-to-face learning starting from July 2021, after struggling with a pandemic emergency for about one-half of the year. This policy has the potential to trigger a variety of perceptions, including from students. Therefore, this cross-sectional study addresses three points, which are students' perceptions about previous emergency learning, limited face-to-face transition, and expectations from teachers towards the transition. A total of 850 Indonesian students ranging from elementary to tertiary education levels were involved as participants. An online survey was constructed in two forms, namely a 5- point Likert scale and open-ended questions. The results showed pro and contra during emergency learning implementation. Overall, the students welcomed the transition, which was accompanied by the hope that teachers appropriately prepare pedagogical strategies. Furthermore, it offers possibilities for new explorations from all education stakeholders that will enhance a good learning atmosphere.

In higher education, fostering scientific literacy stands essential, especially in understanding and responding to natural disasters. This research investigates the scientific literacy levels among Physics Education students at State University in Surabaya, Indonesia, focusing on earthquake disaster mitigation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach that engaged 102 first-year pre-service teachers through a meticulously designed literacy test based on a new programme for international student assessment (PISA) framework 2025. The findings reveal a commendable proficiency in explaining scientific phenomena utilizing scientific knowledge. However, it uncovers a gap in students' abilities to make informed decisions in the context of earthquake disaster mitigation. This drawback is attributed to a lack of comprehensive literacy concerning disaster news, impacts, and mitigative strategies. Despite this, students demonstrated a capacity to argue and articulate their understanding logically based on existing knowledge. The study accentuates the need to enhance students' literacy and decisionmaking skills regarding natural disasters, advocating for heightened selfawareness and educational interventions to empower students to make informed decisions in disaster-prone scenarios. This study aims to analyze the application of the Fraud Diamond Theory in detecting fraudulent financial statements in manufacturing companies in Indonesia. The Fraud Diamond Theory, which consists of four key elements pressure, opportunity, rationalization, and capability provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the factors that drive individuals to commit financial fraud. Using a sample of financial data from selected manufacturing firms, this research examines how these four elements contribute to fraudulent behavior and evaluates their effectiveness in identifying financial statement irregularities. The study utilizes quantitative methods, employing financial ratio analysis, statistical tests, and data on corporate governance to assess the likelihood of fraud within these companies. The results indicate that the elements of pressure and opportunity play a significant role in facilitating fraudulent activities, while rationalization and capability also contribute but are more difficult to quantify. The findings suggest that incorporating Fraud Diamond indicators into corporate governance and internal audit systems can enhance the early detection of financial fraud in manufacturing firms in Indonesia. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on fraud detection, offering insights for regulators, auditors, and corporate stakeholders to strengthen financial oversight and prevent financial misstatements. Background Febrile seizure (FS) is the most common convulsion disorder without an intracranial abnormality in children aged 6 months to 5 years. Risk factors for FS vary from maternal illness during pregnancy to pediatric nutritional factors, such as micronutrient deficiency or history of exclusive breastfeeding (EBF). The WHO recommends breastfeeding for up to 6 months because breastmilk contains numerous protective factors that may influence immune system development. Objective To analyze the relationship between FS and EBF and other potential risk factors in children aged 6-60 months. Methods This paired case-control study used patient medical record data from Wangaya Hospital, Denpasar, Bali, from 2019-2020. Subjects were included by a purposive sampling technique, matched by age group. Children aged 6 to 60 months with fever >38oC and seizures were allocated to the case group; those with fever but without seizures were allocated to the control group. Patients with intracranial disorders, born prematurely, or with incomplete medical record data were excluded. Data were analyzed using McNemar test, with P values <0.05 deemed to be statistically significant. Results Of 92 participants, 46 children were allocated into each group. There were no significant differences of gender, delivery method, or birth weight between the case and control groups. Febrile seizure was significantly greater in subjects with a family history of all seizures, overweight nutritional status, and who were non-EBF. McNemar analysis showed that EBF children had significantly lower risk of FS compared to non-EBF children (OR 0.74; 95%CI 0.15 to 3.55; P=0.017). Additionally, positive family history of FS was also a significant factor (OR 4.33; 95% CI 0.25 to 76.04; P=0.021), but not with the overweight nutritional status. Conclusion Exclusive breastfeeding is associated with reduced risk of FS in children aged 6 months to 5 years. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Many researchers found that students have difficulties in understanding area measurement. Students mostly focus on applying formula to find the area of certain shapes without knowing what the area is and why the formula works. It is important for the students to know what attribute being measured and to construct the unit for area measurement. Therefore, the aim of this research is to develop activities that support students to know the attribute of area and the notion of measurement unit in learning area measurement. For this purpose, design research is chosen for achieving the research goal. Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) underlies the design of context and activities. A teacher and students in grade 3 in elementary school (SDN 21) in Palembang Indonesia will be involved in this research.

The purpose of the research was to analyse students' behaviour in choosing a distance learning program at Universitas Terbuka (UT), Indonesia, using the theory of planned behaviour model developed by Fishbein and Ajzen (1975). The respondents of the research were 102 students from 3 Regional Offices of Jakarta, Malang and Kupang, representing different area and size. The structural equation model was used to test models and hypotheses in the study. The findings of the study show significant influence of subjective norm on the students' intentional behaviour to choose distance learning programs. Another important finding of this research is that behavioural norms significantly influence the students' decision making behaviour in choosing distance learning programs. Findings of this study improve understanding of how distance students make decision in choosing distance learning programs and provide information to distance education institutions on how to best meet the needs and improve services to distance students. It also helps distance education institutions encourage the development of learning communities that can enhance social marketing of distance education programs. (Contains 2 figures and 3 tables.)

The arrival and spread of Christianity along with the Dutch colonialism in Indonesia. This has an impact on the notion that Christianity is a colonial religion for "pribumi" Muslims in Indonesia. This article aims to offers the topic of Onesimus as Philemon's brother in Paul's letter to Philemon as a solution to conflict the religiousness between Christianity and Islam. The approach of this article is a postcolonial perspective, where building change from society tends to be positioned on the "two poles" or binary into a society that integrates with each other and rubs off between communities that are local, communal, and global simultaneously.
