The study's objectives are to i) develop a test kit to determine the ability of multiple intelligences (MI) to play basketball in high school and ii) measure a student's MI test ability in playing basketball. The method used is the development of instruments with analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE). The study subjects comprised five schools in five districts in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. With a total sample of 1029 students. The results showed i) that test kits developed to assess students' MI abilities meet valid and reliable requirements. It can be seen from the validity of the contents of V-Aiken (0.96) and the validity of the construct, namely the loading factor > 0.3. With the analysis of the item classically, it detects that the level of difficulty and differentiability of the problem is good and according to the criteria; ii) the results of MI capability measurements show 55% of capabilities with the "high" category, 35% with the "medium" category, and 10% with the "low" category.

This study analyzes the influence of locus of control and supervision channeled to an organization as a whole on organizational commitment and examines and describes the influence of locus of control and supervision on organizational commitment. The instrument uses questionnaires. The sample is determined by proportional stratified random sampling. From 268 teacher samples from 33 public junior high schools in Tangerang Regency, data analysis used structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings show that locus of control and supervision significantly affect organizational commitment, and locus of control significantly affects supervision. These findings prove that the locus of control and supervision of teachers can act as indicators of organizational commitment. The practical implication of this research is to provide knowledge and information for teachers and school management to increase organizational commitment by applying the concepts of locus of control and teacher supervision.

This research investigates how a mobile-based archive application and digital literacy impact pre-service administrators' understanding of the smart village concept in rural governance. It uses a quantitative approach with a questionnaire given to 100 pre-service administrators to evaluate their attitudes towards these factors. Validity and reliability tests were conducted as part of the data analysis, and the data were assessed for normality assumption. The data were then analyzed using a multiple linear regression model. The coefficient of determination, which is 99.3%, suggests that nearly all variables related to the smart village concept can be explained through the archive application and digital literacy variables. Furthermore, the mobile-based archive application and digital literacy have a positive and significant impact on understanding the smart village concept, both simultaneously (0.000<0.05) and partially (0.000<0.05). We found a negative t value (-5.739) for the understanding of the smart village concept, which can be improved through the mobile-based archive application (9.299) and digital literacy (6.538) variables. The implications from these findings indicate that pre-service administrators in rural governance recognize the need for improvement in their understanding of the smart village concept.

In both private and public education, several institutions may use game-based explanations. However, it does not rule out the possibility that most educational institutions use text-based explanations, which makes students tend to get bored because they only have to read and listen, so another alternative is needed: game-based explanations that can stimulate students' enthusiasm. Students improve their rational thinking abilities by adding a socio-scientific approach to reduce student misunderstandings. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design type of research. Hence, the research uses control and experimental classes for evaluation. The sample used was 29 students for the control class and 27 students for the experimental class. Based on the results obtained on rational thinking, the effect of conventions on rational thinking is 0.19, so there is no significant difference, and the post-test is 0.38, so there is a significant difference. In contrast, the effect obtained on the misunderstanding effect of conventions is 0.03. There is also no significant difference, but based on the average results of the experimental class, it is relatively superior to the control because the average of the experimental class is 83 and of the control class is 66, so game-based explanations are quite more influential than text-based explanations. This study offers insights into integrating multiple teaching methods to improve students' rational thinking skills, reduce misunderstandings, and make science learning more engaging.

The role of motivation in chemistry learning has long been explored and has become an exciting research topic worldwide. The aim of this study was to explore whether gender, class and students' anxiety influenced the motivation to learn chemistry among upper-secondary school students in Indonesia. The Chemistry Motivation Questionnaire II and the Chemistry Anxiety Questionnaire were used to examine the influence of multiple predictors through multiple linear regression analysis tests. Participants in this study were 1,211 upper-secondary school students in Indonesia. This study proves that gender has a significant influence on students' motivation to study chemistry, with female students being more motivated to study chemistry than male students. Interesting research results can be seen in the anxiety variable anxiety, specifically in the chemistry learning anxiety aspect, which has a negative correlation with motivation to study chemistry. The regression model of the three factors revealed in this study accounts for 13.8% of the overall proportion of upper-secondary school students' motivation to study chemistry in Indonesia. The results of this study were corroborated using the interview transcript data with 10 students, who extracted several other predictors to influence motivation to study chemistry, including learning experience, learning environment, and digital literacy.

Language politeness is considered one of the defining characteristics of Indonesian society. In the age of global communication and computing, moderate politeness, centered on politeness of opinion, politeness in deliberation, and politeness in respecting the opinions of others, is an important factor. However, progressive politeness in Urban Muhammadiyah Primary School is becoming a growing concern that requires special attention. The purpose of this study was to examine this violation in the interactions between learners, teachers, and principals in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This study adopts a qualitative approach with a case study design. The data were collected from interviews, observations, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with classroom teachers, principals, and learners, while observations were recorded through field notes and reflections. Moreover, audio-visual documentation in the form of photographs, videos, and recordings during the learning processes and interactions between learners or teachers were utilized. Data collection was based on four strategies: observation, interview, documents, and audio-visual, as outlined in Creswell's theory. Validity was examined using data triangulation, member checking, prolonged duration of data collection, repeated observations in the study location, and peer examination. The findings of the study include a) There was a violation of the politeness through bullying, body shaming, and verbal abuse, which violated the principles of appreciation and sympathy. b) Urban Muhammadiyah Primary School helped promote language politeness through several methods, including performing Duha prayers, morning recitation with assistance from the teacher and principal, and teacher role modelling by arriving at school at 06.15 and reciting Asmaul Husna together. Importantly, these efforts positively affected the politeness of the learners. This study provides an update on the assistance given to learners to address impoliteness, including Duha prayers, morning recitation, and memorization of Al-Qur'an and Asmaul Husna assisted by teachers. Moreover, the school has a well equipped School Health Unit (SHU) to promote a healthy, clean, disciplined, and polite lifestyle. Appeals are made through persuasive and affectionate books and direct assistance from teachers as role models. The study of the Quran and Asmaul Husna demonstrates children's moderate politeness in expressing their opinions. The agreement to develop a joint discipline demonstrates the children's moderate politeness in deliberation.

This research aimed to examine the effectiveness of practicum learning based audiovisual in improving students' learning outcomes in vocational secondary schools. At the practical level, teachers play an important role in facilitating students by designing an appropriate method, media, and material of learning which represent the actual condition of workplaces. Thus, students can gain their learning skills and experiences. Quasi-experimental research was conducted in vocational secondary schools in Surakarta city, Indonesia. The research participants were 230 students categorized into the control group and the experimental group. The results showed the effectiveness of practicum learning based audiovisual in improving students' learning outcomes effectively. The effectiveness can be proved by the average pretest score and post-test score between the control group and the experimental group. Considering its effectiveness, practicum learning based audiovisual can be used as an advanced model of learning in vocational secondary school especially in preparing students before joining the industrial circle. This research has shown the effectiveness of practicum learning based audiovisual in improving students' learning outcomes in vocational secondary schools. It can be proved by the result of an independent t-test that shows significant differences in students' learning outcomes in the control group and experimental group. Based on the results of research, the model of practicum based audiovisual learning can become an advanced model of practicum learning in vocational secondary schools, especially in non-engineering and technic majors.

Education in the 21st century was assigned by rapidly increasing advances in information and communication technologies. Integrated learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) was one of the learning trends of the 21st century. A no-test tool has been developed that is used to measure lecturers' perception of the STEM approach. Based on the results of the analysis and data processing, the non-test instruments were reliable and valid. The results of the Cronbach alpha tests were 0.750 for the material, 0.896 for the construct, and 0.778 for the language. This Cronbach alpha number was included in the high-reliability category with a Cronbach alpha number > 0.05. The average validity value of the expert approval for the instrument, on the other hand, rose from 81.5% (good category) to 93% (very good category). Moreover, Cohen's kappa coefficients were 0.038, 0.033, and -0.019. Somehow, this means that there was little agreement between the compared experts. The results showed that the lecturers' perception of the STEM learning approach was predominantly very good. However, the willingness of the lecturers strongly influences the implementation of STEM in their learning.

Social media is one of the most influential media in all sectors and structures of socio-cultural life, government law politics, science and technology, and especially education. One of the direct impacts on education is strengthening vs. reducing student character education. The purpose of this research is to (a) explore forms of directive speech acts, (b) identify politeness strategies for directive speech acts; and (c) formulate the implications of the politeness strategies directive speech acts of the #sahkanRUUPKS comments on social media towards student' character building in the era of global computing-communication. This research is qualitative using hermeneutical psychopragmatic techniques. The object of this research was directive speech acts uttered in the #sahkanRUUPKS comments on social media 2019-2020. Data were conducted through documentation technique, notetaking technique, observation technique, and theoretical triangulation technique. Data were analyzed using politeness model of Brown-Levinson and Leech supported by analysis of politeness model of Indonesian socio-cultural harmony. The results of this research indicated that the form of public's directive speech acts in supervising government policy plan through social media appeared to be actualized into suggesting, criticizing, reminding, appealing, calling, and reminding. The realization of the category of directive speech acts of politeness indicated that the Indonesian people are participatory and accommodative towards a new plan of policy that brings benefits and good for all. The category of the politeness strategies of directive speech acts are begging and asking had a small frequency because to control the government policy plan which is essential to the value order of people's lives requires strict harmonious control. The Indonesian people had a trend to use positive politeness methods in providing input to the government. The public at the general level still showed social awareness and sensitivity towards government policy plans that are circulated through social media coverage. The forms and intentions developing on social media can be wrapped into teaching materials to strengthen character education and the values of politeness for children in the learning process at school. This can be carried out by criticizing the news circulating on social media through positive politeness strategies and wisdom maxim. The wisdom maxim instilled in children is a vital pillar in strengthening children's character education in the era of global communication.

The affective aspects must be owned by students in a lesson, where the affective aspects will have a relationship with the cognitive aspects of a student, therefore this study aimed to determine whether there is a relationship between students 'mathematical dispositions and students' mathematics learning outcomes. Using a mixed method and a sequential explanatory plan, the research was undertaken by first collecting quantitative data and then continuing to collect qualitative data. Where, the sample count in this study was 413 students from junior secondary schools 18 in Jambi City, Indonesia who used a total sampling technique. Data were then analyzed with the help of SPSS 21 application to find descriptive statistics in the form of mean, min, max, and category as well as inferential statistics using Pearson Product Moment. The results obtained in this study dominate both the mathematical disposition of pupils and the learning outcomes of pupils in mathematics. This was reinforced by the existence of a relationship between mathematical disposition and student learning outcomes in mathematics which is indicated by the obtained sig <0.05. This means that the mathematical disposition of students which includes the affective aspect of students has a relationship with the cognitive aspect, by having a good affective aspect, the cognitive aspects of the student are also good.

This study aimed to determine the emotional intelligence of junior high school students, especially in managing emotions, recognizing emotions, and motivating themselves. This was quantitative study with survey design. There were 102 respondents participated in this research that were obtained based on purposive technique. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and semi-structured interviews and data analysis using descriptive statistics, including mean, min, max, categorization, and percentage. From the results of the investigation that has been done, it is found that there is emotional intelligence of students in mathematics which is shown by the aspect of recognizing emotions which has a suitable category of 61.8% (63 of 102) students, the issue of managing emotions has an appropriate category of 53.9% (56 out of 102) students. The self-motivation aspect has a suitable category of 60.8% (62 out of 102) students. Students need to be allowed to develop direct experiences and thoughts on learning activities.

As the application of colored designs on cloth using wax in certain areas in decorating items of clothing, Batik is made through several steps that come from drawing the pattern on the paper followed by imitating the pattern on fabric, which is called "ngeblat." The next phase is followed by drawing the pattern using wax, which is called "mencanting." The subsequent step is the process of coloring the pattern of Batik, called "pencoletan," and then subsequently followed by color-locking on Batik through covering the Batik with wax, namely basic color dyeing. This process is called "menembok." The final step is making the painting process through washing, called "nglorod." This process should attempt to maintain Batik with cultural sustainability, as its process contains several values, such as discipline, creativity, independence, patriotism, responsibility, cooperation, and environmental care. Based on this background, this paper attempts to examine the Batik's cultural design and to explore its sustainability through co-curricular school program activities. This study focuses on examining the potential in the process of the application of colored design through elaborating the supporting and interfering factors in a co-curricular learning program of Batik. The analysis was made through several points, namely a co-curricular learning program of Batik for enhancing cultural sustainability, a co-curricular learning program of Batik for enhancing national culture and community responsibility, and co-curricular learning of Batik for sustainability and environmental accountability.

This study was conducted to determine how English teachers used social media to teach English. An exploratory study was used in this study to look into a detailed and in-depth analysis of the use of social media in English language learning by Cirebon junior high school teachers. This study used purposive sampling from 43 English teachers at Cirebon junior high schools. Ten teachers (five male and five female) have been chosen. In about 20 to 30 minutes, each participant was asked the questions. The researcher recorded all of the conversations during the interview session as part of the data collection process. Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, and YouTube are the most popular social media platforms with strong categorized. Whatsapp has a higher presentation value than other social media types. There were five themes identified as a result of the interview session of the teacher's perceptions of social media used on distance Learning; 1) Kinds of social media, 2) Activities, 3) Motivation, 4) Improving students English language skills, and 5) Effectiveness.

It is obvious that the textbooks play a key role in enhancing the quality of teaching and learning. The good quality textbooks must meet the criteria or standard as a textbook. This paper aims to describe the accuracy of materials provided in the "Bahasa Indonesia" textbook for the first grade of Senior High School curriculum of 2013. This study adopted the content analysis method to analyze the data. The findings deriving from this study reveal that the accuracy of learning material provided in Bahasa Indonesia textbook for the first grade of Senior High School ("Sekolah Menengah Atas") curriculum of 2013 published by Erlangga has adequately met the standard requirements of Board of National Education Standards ("Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan," BSNP) for the accuracy of learning material of a textbook. However, this study found some weaknesses in the textbook as follows: (1) The textbook has not provided a 'Competency Map' containing principles used by students to achieve their learning goals and understand the learning materials provided in each chapter in order that the materials delivered can be well-structured. (2) The examples provided in the textbook are less relevant to the characteristics of diverse backgrounds and social statuses; contain the issues of ethnicity, religion, race, intergroup relations; and do not suit the needs.

Purpose: This study aims to identify the problem solving abilities possessed by junior high school students. The type of research used is quantitative which uses a research design survey. The sample of this study is 98 students taken based on purposive sampling techniques. This study uses descriptive statistics to analyze the data generated. From the results of the analysis that has been done, it was found that there is a problem solving indicator by students in mathematics which is a indicated by the indicators of planning a solution which has a good category of a 56.1% (55 of 98) students, the indicator of problem solving has a good category of a 56.1% (55 out of 98) students, indicators of a problem solving planning had a good category of a 54.1% (53 of 98) students, and an indicator of understanding a problem had a good category of a 60.2% (59 of 98) students.

This study aims to determine the level of eligibility of the application of staffing information systems as a learning media for automation of staffing governance in the Vocational. This research method uses quantitative research methods. Data collection techniques are done using a questionnaire and analysis of needs using quantitative data analysis. Based on the results of the feasibility test on the application of the staffing information system as a learning media for automation of the governance of staffing above it was concluded that the application of the staffing information system can be categorized as very suitable for use in the learning process in the Vocational School in the Field of Automation and Office Management. Based on the results of the assessment of material experts, validation of media experts, expert practitioners and materials that show the results of the assessment of 89.2% of material experts; 95% assessment of media experts; 90% of expert practitioners, so the application is very feasible to use in the learning process.

This study aims to determine the impact of the ECIRR (Elicit, Confront, Identify, Resolve, Reinforce) learning model on students' mathematical reasoning abilities in terms of student motivation. The research method used was a quasi-experimental method with a post-test only control design research design. The population of this study was all students in five classes XII Private School. The samples were taken at class XII AP-2 and XII MM-1 as the experimental class, and class XII AP-1 and XII MM-2 as the control class. The data analysis technique used is hypothesis testing using ANOVA 2 paths. Based on the research results obtained that (a) There is an influence of the ECIRR (Elicit, Confront, Identify, Resolve, Reinforce) learning model on mathematical reasoning abilities. (b) There is an influence of student learning motivation on mathematical reasoning abilities. (c) There is no interaction between the treatment of learning models and categories of students' learning motivation towards mathematical reasoning abilities. Thus, as a whole it can be concluded that the ECIRR (Elicit, Confront, Identify, Resolve, Reinforce) learning model influences the ability of mathematical reasoning and can increase students' learning motivation.

This study aims at: (1) knowing whether there is an influence from the sensory integration approach using brain gym treatment and meronce (bead stringing) activities towards counting skills among children with special needs; (2) describing the effect of the sensory integration approach through brain gym treatment and meronce activities on counting skills among children with special needs. This study used the mixed methods with sequential explanatory design. The data analysis techniques were quantitative data analysis with SSR (single subject research) with A-B-A design and qualitative data analysis with data reduction, data display, as well as conclusions drawing and verification. The data were collected from the results of observations, interviews, tests, field notes, and documentations. The objects in this study were the students from the Philea Therapy Center, Batam. Based on the research findings, some conclusions can be drawn as follow: (1) there is a positive effect of the sensory integration approach through brain gym treatment and meronce activities on the counting skills among children with special needs in which the mean level in pre-test (A) was 50, treatment (B) was 83,33, and post-test (A) was 86.66, respectively; (2) sensory integration approach with brain gym treatment and meronce activities has a positive influence on the counting skills among children with special needs.

Early age is a "golden moment" which will not be repeated in the period of child development. A rare opportunity must be utilized to provide the best education and care in three centers, namely; school, family and community environment. The purpose of this research is to; 1) Describe the contribution of parenting education management; and 2) Describe the practice of parenting education in three education centers. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a multi-case study design. These informants were teachers, principals, and parents of students from the two Early Childhood Education institutions in the West Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. Data collection is done by in-depth interviews with informants, participatory observation, and documentation review. The results revealed that; 1) a positive contribution to the management of education and parenting in three education centers with the following stages; first, Plan-collaboration in designing the parenting education program; second, Do-collaboration in the parenting education program at school and inactivating it in the family and community environment, and third, Check-control and evaluate program achievements, then make a follow-up plan for the program; 2) Implementation, in; "first"-family environment strengthens the relationship between mother and child, the growing sense of self-confidence of parents in educating and caring for their children; "second" kindergartens environment by holding parenting education activities, holding days of child development consultations, building relationships, support and trust in schools; and "third"-community environment is the application of local wisdom values by community members.

This study aims to explore the factors influencing teaching performance in mathematics. With the sample 306 mathematics teachers in Yogyakarta region, Indonesia selected by the balanced random sampling technique, the data collection was employed done using the Likert Scale questionnaire instrument with validity and reliability. The finding of this study would be viewed from the theoretical and practical perspectives in which theoretically it supports the Indonesian government regulation in providing teaching services within educational system. The result revealed there are five core potentials in assisting the teaching performance. Those are knowledge, attitude, skills, beliefs of mathematics and certification. It can be reflected by the lesson planning construct, learning procedure and the connection between personalities in the sense that constructs the relation to other subjects, education and curriculum, and teaching and education. Towards pedagogical, professional, personal and social skills, this initiative refers to strengthen the beliefs construct among knowledge, education and self-confidence in assisting the teaching performance.

This study aimed to determine students' metacognitive failure in Mathematics Education Program of FKIP in Jambi University investigated based on assimilation and accommodation Mathematical framework. There were 35 students, five students did not answer the question, three students completed the questions correctly and 27 students tried to solve problems but unfortunately made the same mistake. Out of 27 students involved in the study, two students were taken as the research subjects. The research was a qualitative research; while the research instruments is the test items on proving the mathematical equations. The research data was the result of the students' works and transcripts of interviews about the activities of metacognition of the problem solving. The benefits of the research could be used as a material consideration and metacognitive information regarding the failure of students in mathematical proofs. The results were obtained from the data from two research subjects, namely student one (S1) and student two (S2). The S1 used assimilation process as much as 7 times and the accommodation process as much as 4 times with failure metacognitive, such as metacognitive blindness, mirage metacognitive, and metacognitive vandalism. The S2 used a process of assimilation as much as 12 times and accommodation process as much as 6 times with the metacognitive failure only the metacognitive vandalism.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) L1 major capsid protein generates a highly immunogenic virus like particles (VLPs), which have been used as the main component of its prophylactic vaccine. However, the neutralizing antibodies against L1 VLPs are mostly type specific and may not be effective to prevent infection from different strains of HPV. On the other hand, HPV L2 minor capsid protein has low antigenic variation, thus can induce cross-neutralization. This study aims to obtain HPV 52 L1/L2 chimeric protein, which is designed based on HPV type 52 as one of the most circulated high-risk types in Indonesia, to develop a broad-spectrum HPV vaccine. Substitution of HPV 52 H4 helix L1 region with an HPV 52 L2 epitope was carried out using overlap extension PCR. HPV 52 L1/L2 chimeric gene was constructed into pET-SUMO expression vector and expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3). Bioinformatics modeling suggested that L2 epitope was located inside of the loop region in monomer form, and on the contrary, it was located outside of the pentamer surface. Furthermore, B cell and T cell epitopes predictions were conducted using Immune Epitope Database (IEDB) analysis. The B cell epitopes prediction revealed eleven potential epitopes, whereas the T cell epitopes prediction showed seven potential epitopes for each MHC class I and MHC class II. This study showed that HPV 52 L1/L2 chimeric protein has the potential to induce cross-neutralizing antibodies and can be developed as a promising candidate for a new HPV vaccine. Indonesia released a new regional geoid model in 2020—the Indonesian Geoid 2020 (INAGEOID2020). It covers the Indonesian region with a spatial resolution of 0.01 × 0.01 degree with the unit in meters. The model was generated through a series of data and computations. Three components of gravity data, i.e., the observed free-air anomaly, the long-wave from the global geoid model, and the short-wave from the terrain model, were employed. The computation was performed using the Remove-Compute-Restore technique with the Fast Fourier Transformation approach. The output was then fitted to the geoid at tide stations by adding a fitting plane to the geoid model. The fitting plane was constructed based on the difference between the geoid model and each tide gauge benchmark. The final geoid model was evaluated by comparing the model with the reference data. Based on quality metrics, the accuracy of INAGEOID2020 varied between 6 cm to 29 cm. Any interested user can use this gridded geoid model to convert geodetic to orthometric heights and vice versa. The problem of dropping out of school is very common in Indonesia. To overcome this, the education budget is allocated through the School Operational Assistance (BOS) program and the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP). Previous studies have shown that the implementation of BOS and PIP has not been effective, and there has been controversy over the significance of BOS and PIP on school dropout rates. This study aims to examine the effect of the BOS budget and PIP budget on school dropout rates in Indonesia. The study uses quantitative research methods. Data were analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, and f-test. The results of the study show that the dropout rate tends to fall, although statistically, the BOS and PIP budgets do not have a significant effect on the dropout rate. These findings suggest that the success of a program depends not only on a certain amount of funding but also on the quality of overall program implementation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Oil palm plant (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is a plantation crop that has a high economic value for Indonesia, because the results of oil palm plantations can increase the country's foreign exchange. Oil palm plantations can create jobs for the people of Indonesia, thus reducing unemployment in Indonesia. Oil palm plantations in Indonesia have spread to various regions, besides being found on the islands of Sumatra and Kalimantan, now oil palm plantations are almost found in various regions in Indonesia both smallscale plantations and large-scale plantations. This research uses historical data in the form of monthly palm oil production to predict the price of strategic food commodities. The period of palm oil production used is from January 1997 to December 2023 obtained from the website of PT. X or documentation data at PT. X. In this study the data was divided into 4 data scenarios using the Time Series Cross Validation (TSCV) method. The results of palm oil production modeling with LSTM that have been carried out show that palm oil production data shows differences in forecasting values and accuracy in the number of neurons and epochs used. The conclusion of this study is that from data processing and analysis in the previous chapter, it can be concluded that forecasting the amount of palm oil production in PT X can be modeled with LTSM and SARIMA method using Time Series Cross Validation (TSCV) data. Romaine lettuce is a vegetable with high economic value. Romaine lettuce needs to be grown organically. This research aimed to study the effect of various doses of rabbit urine on romaine lettuce. This research was conducted from June to August 2022 at the Smart and Urban Farming Laboratory Greenhouse, Campus F7, Gunadarma University, East Jakarta, Indonesia. The study used a randomized block design (RBD) with five replications, consisting of 5 treatments, namely: P0: without rabbit urine (control); P1: Concentration of rabbit urine 25%; P2: Concentration of rabbit urine 50%; P3: Concentration of rabbit urine 75%; P4: Concentration of rabbit urine 100%. The application of several doses of rabbit urine did not significantly affect the growth and yield of romaine lettuce. Fear of being infected by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) could trigger mental health problems among nurses at the frontline. In such a situation, coping strategies are needed to deal with the imminent threat. The purpose of this study was to test the mediating effects of coping on relationships of fear of COVID-19 with anxiety, depression and post-traumatic syndrome among nurses who were in contact with COVID-19 patients. A cross-sectional and correlational research design was used to recruit a sample of 278 nurses who treated COVID-19 patients in four government referral hospitals in Indonesia. A bootstrap resampling procedure was used to test the significance of the total and specific indirect effects of coping on relationships of Fear of COVID-19 with anxiety, depression and post-traumatic syndrome. The nurses reported moderate levels of fear of COVID-19, considerable anxiety and depression, and a moderate level of coping. We found coping to be significantly negatively correlated with the reported levels of anxiety, depression and post-traumatic syndrome (p < 0.001). Coping mediated relationships of fear of COVID-19 on depression, anxiety and post-traumatic syndrome after controlling for relevant confounders for each dependent variable. This shows that enacting coping mechanisms is important to achieve an adaptive effect on nurses' mental health. Proper assessments and interventions should be tailored and implemented for nurses who have contact with COVID-19 patients to facilitate their use of coping strategies when needed in stressful situations. This study aims to investigate the forms of personal data misuse by fintech lending providers and the legal measures that can be taken when such misuse occurs, within the context of Indonesian cyber law. The background of this research is driven by the rapid development of fintech lending, which is often exploited for criminal activities, including personal data misuse. The method used is normative legal research with statutory and conceptual approaches. The results show that personal data misuse by fintech lending providers can take various forms, such as unauthorized data usage, illegal disclosure of personal information, and the use of malware to access data. Such violations can result in criminal penalties under Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection. The conclusion is that there is a need for stricter supervision of fintech lending providers and increased public awareness of personal data protection. Recommendations include the implementation of stricter regulations by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), more intensive supervision by the Indonesian Fintech Association, and public education on their rights regarding personal data. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of Cocor Bebek (Kalanchoe pinnata) leaves in wound cleaning for diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) and compare it with the use of NaCl solution. Diabetes mellitus (DM) and its complications, such as DFU, pose a global health problem with increasing prevalence. Given the escalating occurrence of DFU, timely and effective treatment is crucial to prevent severe complications, including amputation. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group and was conducted at Rumah Luka Surabaya, Indonesia. The sample comprised 40 respondents with DFU, divided into an intervention group (using Cocor Bebek leaves) and a control group (using NaCl solution). Respondents' characteristics, including age, sex, occupation, duration of diabetes, and other factors, were assessed to understand their impact on the response to treatment. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in DFU wound healing in the intervention group after using Cocor Bebek leaves (p<0.05), along with reduced scores on Bates Jensen Wound Assessment Tool (BWAT) indicators such as wound edge, tunnel, and necrotic tissue type. Conversely, the control group using NaCl solution also exhibited significant improvement in wound healing (p<0.05), with decreased scores on indicators such as the amount of necrotic tissue and the quantity of exudate. This study underscores the potential of Cocor Bebek leaves in aiding wound healing in DFU, evident from clinical improvements and reduced BWAT scores. However, further research and clinical trials are needed to comprehensively support these findings and understand the mechanism of action, as well as the safety of using Cocor Bebek leaves in diabetic patients. After years of preparation, the Indonesia National Observatory, located in Mount Timau, Kupang Regency, is currently in the completion stage of research in astronomy and astrophysics and related subjects. An optic telescope with a 3.8 m diameter is expected to receive its first light in mid-2024. A feasibility study for Indonesia's radio telescopes and networks is in progress. A single-dish parabolic radio antenna with a diameter of 20 m is proposed to work in a frequency range of 1–50 GHz. An array dipole antenna with an area of 100 m × 100 m will also be installed at a 70–350 MHz frequency. A feasibility study about system design is in progress, and a radio frequency interference (RFI) survey has been underway since 2014. In this paper, we described the design of radio telescopes such as parabolic reflectors, horn antenna, and the radio frequency interference (RFI) in the surrounding area of the National Observatory, covering the frequency band from 45 MHz to 18 GHz. The frequencies in 45–85 MHz and 120–360 MHz intervals are still relatively quiet and suitable for developing radio telescopes. The selected higher frequency of 1.4 GHz for a neutral hydrogen (HI) spectral line, 6.6 GHz for a methanol (CH3OH) spectral line, and 8.6 GHz for a helium (3 He+) spectral line is still relatively quiet and suitable for the development of radio telescopes. This article examines the requirements for quality learning in Islam from the perspective of al-Zarnuji and according to his book, "Ta'lim al-Muta'allim." This book has been a source of reference for both students and teachers in many educational institutions in Muslim countries, particularly, the Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. The article attempts to understand the students' learning requirements proposed by al-Zarnuji in the above treatise. It is, therefore, a library-based research. The research tackles many issues. It addresses the need for a broad-based learning process and analyzes the requirements in the light of the modern day learning circumstances. It was found that al-Zarnuji's theory of quality learning is conditional on six main principles which are, indeed, determinants of quality student outcomes. These are intelligence or high learning ability; high motivation for learning; patience, emotional stability, and commitment to the learning process; availability of financial support; inspiration of the teachers; and disposition to time management in the learning process. The notion of quality education is fundamental to the classical perspective of learning in Islam.

Objective: This research aims to investigate the microbial diversity of Budu prepared from fresh and frozen fish from the Pariaman and Pasaman districts in West Sumatra Province, Indonesia, as well as provide basic information about Budu quality. Materials and Methods: To obtain the bacterial microbial composition, deoxyribonucleic acid extraction was carried out using amplicon-sequencing of the 16S-rRNA gene in the V3-V4 region from two types of Budu and carried out in duplicate. Results: Budu prepared with fresh (Pariaman) or frozen (Pasaman) fish was dominated by Firmicutes (78.455%-92.37%) and Proteobacteria (6.477%-7.23%) phyla. The total microbial species in Budu from Pariaman were higher (227 species) than in Pasaman (153 species). The bacterial species found are Lentibacillus kimchi (1.878%-2.21%), Staphylococcus cohnii (0.597%-0.70%), Peptostreptococcus russeli (0.00%-0.002%), Clostridium disporicum (0.073%-0.09%), Clostridium novyi (0.00%-0.01%), Nioella sediminis (0.00%-0.001%), and Shewanella baltica (0.00%-0.003%). Lentibacillus kimchi, S. cohnii, and C. disporicum are found in both Budu. Nioella sediminis and S. baltica are found in Budu Pariaman. Peptostreptococcus russeli and C. novyi were found in Budu Pasaman. Conclusion: Metagenomic analysis of Budu from different fish, Pariaman (fresh fish) and Pasaman (frozen fish) showed that the biodiversity of bacteria was barely different. Both Budu found lactic acid bacteria from the Enterococcaceae family, genus Vagococcus, and pathogenic bacteria, such as S. cohnii, P. russeli, C. disporicum, and S. baltica. The discovery of various species of pathogenic bacteria indicates that development is still needed in the Budu production process to improve Budu quality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Klebsiella pneumoniae infection in nonhuman primates has been widely reported and causes significant morbidity and mortality. Animal deaths occur routinely at the Primate Research Center of IPB University. The results of necropsy and culture suggested a K. pneumoniae infection. Methods: A mass health assessment of Cynomolgus monkeys (n = 429) was carried out by physical examination and molecular targeting K. pneumoniae (n = 96), family of Coronaviridae (n = 148) and Paramyxoviridae (n = 148). Results: A total of 49.18% of the animals had clinical symptoms of respiratory disorders, abscesses, trauma, and others. PCR results indicated that 28.57% were positive for K. pneumoniae with 35.71% mortality, while all samples were negative for both virus families. Conclusions: There have been outbreaks caused by K. pneumoniae and/or K. pneumoniae subsp. pneumoniae. This disease is chronic, infects all of the buildings, and no tendency for disease transmission according to gender and age class. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Inconsistencies between changes in foreign exchange reserves and interest rates, inflation, export value, and the Rupiah exchange rate versus the US Dollar were revealed by this research. The aim is to determine how Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves are affected by interest rates, inflation, exchange rates and exports. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods with an explanation strategy. The research was conducted using secondary data from Bank Indonesia and the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency for the period 2005-2021, with a sample of 11 data taken using the selective selection method. Through IBM SPSS version 23, multiple linear regression was used to analyze the data. The findings show that while exports have a sizable positive impact on foreign currency reserves, interest rates have a significant negative impact. However, there is little impact on foreign exchange reserves from inflation and the exchange rate. Digital business in Indonesia is developing very rapidly, many new business actors have emerged with various types of businesses. The development of this digital business cannot be separated from the condition of society as a market, where it is recorded that the majority of Indonesian people are active internet users. The frame of the legal relationship between business actors and the community with a position as a consumer is based on an agreement in which exoneration clauses are commonly found. Given the condition of the Indonesian people with a low level of literacy, the existence of the agreement clause is less scrutinized or not properly understood. On the other hand, many business actors are of the view that the existence of this clause has caused their position to become superior. So that it can ignore all objections raised by consumers, and even avoid criminal liability. The exoneration clause is the cause, so this legal research explores whether the exoneration clause can indeed limit digital business actors in Indonesia from criminal liability. The method used is the Statute Approach, which explores related laws and regulations. However, the depth of this research which is supported by the expertise of each researcher also reveals the Anthropological, Social, and Political sides. Background Acute kidney injury (AKI) in sepsis is associated with an inflammatory process in kidney microcirculation and may increase morbidity and mortality in children. The neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is an inflammatory biomarker of the inflammatory process in sepsis. Objective To determine the role of NLR in predicting the severity of AKI and to describe the demographic and laboratory characteristics, as they relate to outcomes of pediatric patients with AKI and sepsis. Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted in the PICU at Dr. Zainoel Abidin General Hospital (RSUDZA), Banda Aceh, Aceh. Medical record data were obtained from critically ill children with sepsis and AKI. Chi-square test was used to compare the proportions of each variable. We also calculated odds ratios to evaluate the AKI severity, PELOD-2 score, and patient outcomes. Spearman's analysis was used to look for a possible correlation between NLR and AKI severity in septic children. Results Seventy-one subjects with sepsis and AKI were included. Subject characteristics were as follows: 63.4% males, 63.4% < 1 year of age, 56.3% with respiratory problems as a primary disease, 38% with AKI injury stage, and 54.9% subjects with PELOD-2 score =10. There was no significant correlation between AKI severity and mortality (OR 3.04; 95%CI 0.990 to 9.378; P=0.052). Subjects with a PELOD-2 score =10 had a 47.6 times higher chance of mortality in septic children with AKI compared to those with PELOD-2 scores <10. There was no correlation between NLR and AKI severity (r=0.019; P=0.878). Conclusion There is no correlation between NLR and AKI severity. Sepsis accompanied by AKI may increase the risk of mortality in children. Septic children with more severe AKI tends to be less survive. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Indonesia consists of various ethnic groups. However, well-established research on the genetic variation of each ethnic group in Indonesia has not yet been present. Madurese is one of the Indonesian ethnic groups inhabiting Madura island and living in remote areas throughout Indonesia. Surabaya-Madura's mobilization is tremendous as the closest city to Madura Island, connected by a bridge. The Madurese has a culture of didi and same-ethnic marriage patterns. Therefore, research was conducted on 21 STR panel loci to analyze Madurese living in Surabaya to increase genetic data libraries and genetic variation of Indonesian populations based on siblings. PrepFiler kit to extract DNA from blood and GlobalFiler kit to amplify 21 loci were used. An ABI PRISM 3500 genetic analyzer was used to detect PCR products. Data were processed and analyzed with EasyDNA software and FORSTAT. Allele frequency data for 21 autosomal loci in Madurese were obtained. The expected Heterozygosity (He) was found with the highest obtained at locus D19S433 (0.911), while the lowest was at locus D22S1045 (0.607). Power of Discrimination (PD) values ranged from the highest at 2 loci, namely D5S818, and D13S317 (0.968), while the lowest at locus D2S1338 (0.857). Polymorphism Information Content (PIC) value is highest at locus D22S1045 (0.765); all loci have PIC values > 0.5. The Sibship Index (SI) value of the Madurese in Surabaya is 0.88 - 1.20. As one of the world's largest archipelagic nations, Indonesia is tasked with the crucial responsibility of supervising and protecting its territorial waters from threats such as illegal fishing and damage to coral reefs. The effective and efficient execution of this task relies heavily on the use of fast patrol boats. Consequently, the need to investigate the hydrodynamic characteristics of these boats’ hulls is paramount. This study is primarily focused on the analysis and design of fast patrol boat hull prototypes. Our objective is to ascertain a practical design methodology that yields the optimal shape and size of the boat's hull. The adopted research methodology involved the design and analysis of eleven hull prototypes, evaluated based on resistance, stability, and seakeeping criteria. Five models were adapted from the reference ship, with a deadweight tonnage (DWT) variation of 2-3.5 tons. Three models employed the regression method with a block coefficient (CB) variation of 0.45-0.46, while the remaining three models utilized the scaling method, derived from the reference ship with the lowest resistance. The models in both the regression and scaling methods applied the primary size derived from the linear regression results of the five reference vessels. From the analysis, it was found that models developed using the regression method demonstrated superior hydrodynamic characteristics, denoted by consistently higher total values. This research provides valuable insights for the development of efficient fast patrol boats, which is crucial for the effective management of Indonesia's expansive maritime territory. The primary objective of this research is to assess the effectiveness of Montessori pedagogy in nurturing independent learning in early childhood education, specifically at PAUD Montessori Futura Indonesia. Utilizing a descriptive case study approach, the study examines daily routines, learning activities, and the role of educators in fostering independence. The findings indicate that children consistently engage in independent behaviors, such as choosing activities autonomously and requiring minimal teacher intervention. Educators are instrumental in crafting activities that bolster independent learning, and the learning facilities are strategically organized to facilitate this objective. The practice of age grouping within the institution further enriches the learning environment by instilling a sense of responsibility among older children. These outcomes have considerable implications for both research and practice in early childhood education, suggesting that Montessori pedagogy can effectively promote independent learning. However, the study is confined to a single educational setting and does not explore the Montessori approach's long-term effects or adaptability in diverse socio-cultural contexts. Background: Global and Indonesian guidelines suggest that breastfeeding should continue for at least the first two years of life. While many studies have focused on six-month exclusive breastfeeding practices, little is known about why mothers do not sustain breastfeeding beyond this period. This qualitative study aimed to explore factors influencing breastfeeding continuation and formula feeding beyond six months, regardless of any additional food consumed, focusing on Indonesia's rural and urban areas. Methods: We collected the data through 46 in-depth interviews in Pati District and Surakarta City, Central Java, Indonesia. Participants were mothers, grandmothers, health care practitioners, and village kader (frontline female health workers). We used thematic analysis combining deductive and inductive techniques for analysing the data. Results: Rural mothers practised breastfeeding and intended to breastfeed for a longer duration than urban mothers. Maternal attitude towards breastfeeding, breastfeeding knowledge, previous experiences, and other breastfeeding strategies (e.g., enhancing maternal dietary quality) positively influenced breastfeeding sustainability. In the urban setting, mothers encountered several breastfeeding barriers, such as perceived breast milk insufficiency and child hunger and satiety, child biting, and breastfeeding refusal, causing them to provide formula milk as a breast milk substitute or supplement. In addition, families, communities, health practitioners, and employment influenced maternal decisions in breastfeeding continuation and formula-feeding practices. Conclusions: Optimal breastfeeding practices up to two years of age are determined by the individual and setting (i.e., community, healthcare, employment) factors. Providing breastfeeding education covering practical breastfeeding guidance will encourage mothers to breastfeed for longer. Such interventions should involve families, communities, health workers, and the work environment as a breastfeeding support system. Policymakers should develop, enforce, and monitor the implementation of breastfeeding policies to protect, promote, and support breastfeeding in households, communities, health systems, and work settings. There has never been a more significant global demand for energy supply and efficiency projects. Between 2012 and 2035, it is anticipated that the need for primary energy and electricity will increase by 50% and 70%, respectively, primarily in emerging countries such as Indonesia, while in developed nations, the transition towards energy-efficient and low-carbon supply technologies will continue. This paper aims to determine the optimal technologies for implementing new and renewable energy in Indonesia, as well as the obstacles and challenges that impede the implementation of renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives and policies in Indonesia. The author identifies the most suitable technologies for performance in Indonesia using IFE and EFE matrices derived from the SWOT analysis framework, Multi-Attribute Decision Making (MADM), and sensitivity analysis. From this research, we can conclude that geothermal energy, ocean energy, and green hydrogen are the three most promising technologies for the near future in Indonesia. This study was carried out to ascertain the opinions of the Indonesian people, particularly Generations Y and Z, about the growth of cryptocurrency. This study used descriptive statistical analysis to analyse sentiment using primary data from 100 respondents through the questionnaire. The SentiStrength software is used to process the data. According to the findings, generations Y and Z in Indonesia tend to have more neutral sentiment (48%), positive sentiment (23%), negative sentiment (28%), and highly negative sentiment (1%). The findings of this research show that most respondents are more sceptical about cryptocurrency in Indonesia. Respondents, with a neutral sentiment, consider that the development of cryptocurrency has not been inclusive. Therefore, there is no positive or negative sentiment. However, this study also discovered that respondents' negative responses dominated the positive responses. As a result, the findings of this study can be used to develop suitable policies or education. Background: Productivity of existing cattles in Indonesia is necessarily to be increase to balance meat consumption in this country. Determination of offspring of certain sex can be obtained from Percoll gradient density centrifugation. The purpose of this research was to elucidate the proportion of male calves that can result from artificial insemination using single and double doses of sexed semen in Ongole crossbred cows. Methods: The sexed semen samples were obtained through Percoll gradient density centrifugation performed by the Artificial Insemination Center. The artificial insemination method adopted here was deep insemination. As much as 10 ml of BIO ATP® (Rheinvet) was injected in each cow before immediately insemination. Further, as much as 3 kg/day of additional feed was given over three days after insemination, with a protein level of about 12%. Result: Our results showed the proportion of Y-bearing sperm among non-sexed semen was 52.77% and among sexed semen, was 80.79%. Further, 54.17% of the non-sexed semen, 42.11% of the single-dose sexed semen and 78.95% of the double-dose sexed semen treatments yielded male calves. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
