Vegetables are known to be the richest and cheapest source of nutrients and minerals required for the growth and development of every humanoid. India is second in the production of vegetables all over the world. Due to extreme climate and environmental changes, in forthcoming time it will be impossible for the farmers to grow their local vegetables in ideal conditions required for their vegetables and crop's growth. Climate change having a great impact on global food security in nearby future and shifting of cropping seasons and yield patterns. Plant growth regulators (PGR's) provide an immediate impact on crop improvement programmes and are less time consuming. Applications of PGR's and Plant growth Hormones in minute quantity under changing climate could be beneficial to farmers to enhance the crop and vegetable production even under adverse conditions and best management practices (application of nutrients and hormones) can be a better choice for production of temperature tolerant varieties of vegetables. Therefore, present study was undertaken with Spinacia oleracea and Trigonella foenum graceum variety of palak and methi. These plants of family: Amaranthaceae and Fabaceae were cultivated in order to observe the changes in morphological growth parameters like height of plant, number of leaves etc., when grown under extreme environment conditions.Application of nutrients and growth hormones was also done at regular interval. Seeds treated with High temperature conditions with hormones showed better results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
