The article discusses the heavy precipitation occur in Chennai, India on December 1, 2015. Topics discussed include the analysis of two datasets of precipitation, the use of general circulation model HadRM3P to evaluate the extreme rainfall, and the impact of sea surface temperature (SST) on the probability of rainfall extreme.
