The article deals with the author's choice of a toilet. He relates that hid first apartment in Chicago, Illinois had a flushometer that produced a loud sound when flushing. When compared to the so-called gravity-assisted toilet most commonly found in homes, the author thinks that the latter was meek and ineffective. Thus, he goes for the flushometer and relates that they can be easily installed with the help of a plumber and the permission of the wife.
