Abstract

The article discusses a study on the impact of training on HIV/AIDS-related perceptions and practices on male health workers in Rajkot District in Gujarat, India. The training needs of the health workers were assessed by gathering information about their educational background, service hours, previous training received on HIV/AIDS and current perceptions. The study found that only 23.5% of the subjects were aware that HIV/AIDS was caused by a virus. About 83.5% assumed that the infection is transmissible through mosquito bites.
