Given the poor results that have been generated with the "traditional" approaches to environmental conservation in Guatemala, it becomes critical knowledge and appreciation of environmental practices that the native peoples, preserve and develop. Thus, the study of the environmental performance of the members of the parcialidades seem to confirm both assumptions, since much of his attitude environmental conservation based on their ethnicity and the prevalence of a particular culture and differentiated. This reality should motivate the emergence and strengthening of intercultural power in Guatemala. A king of power that could made possible to incorporate traditional knowledge of indigenous peoples in the design of new strategies for environmental conservation, and in finding the real root of Guatemalan nationality.
