Information and Communication Technologies have reconfigured the forms of producing, communicating, and disseminating science. In this context, it is assumed that in the scope of Web 2.0, science blogs can be a tool in performing these roles. Thus, the objective of this work is to characterize science blogs in the field of Brazilian Information Science, aiming to present the temporal dynamics in the field of scientific dissemination and dissemination. It is an exploratory study, of the quali-quantitative approach, that uses the gathering data as a method for collecting existing blogs, through a search in the blog "De Olho na CI" and on the website of the Faculty of Information and Communication of the Federal University of Goiás. It is concluded that the temporal dynamics of blog use in Information Science in Brazil cannot be dissociated from a format change that was brought about through the web 2.0, which introduced social networks and academic social networks, and that both do not completely comply with the role proposed by the spiral of scientific culture.
