Reports on a study of adolescent students' opinions concerning environmental issues. Students from rural and urban areas in England and Germany answered questionnaires covering environmental issues, their individual lifestyles. Questionnaires included free writing sections. Attempts to understand the students'"umweltbewusstsein" (the whole range of a person's knowledge, attitudes, and behavior). (MJP)

Demonstrates how environmental assessment and judicial approaches to procedural errors have posed particular challenges to the implementation of the Directive in Germany. Future courts' need to develop more coherent and consistent European approaches towards judicial review; Case law on environmental assessment in the U.S., France, and Great Britain.
