As an important and dominant country in Europe, France's attitude and approach plays an important role for Turkey to be a full member of the EU. The Effects of French public's perceptions and opinions about Turkey, their judgments and attitudes affecting behaviour of the French decision-makers, and their decisions in domestic and foreign policy are felt in the process of Turkey's accession to the EU. This study is prepared in the context of one to one interviews made with the specialists of nongovernmental organizations, writers, academicians and specialists on this subject who have effective roles in the formations of public opinion, and identify and asses public opinion of French people. Examining the causes of negative Turkish perceptions of French people and their point of view about Turkish EU accession and Turkish foreign policy this study analyzes identity, reality of the EU, religious and cultural factors effective in the perceptions of French public opinions, and Turkish perceptions of Muslims and Armenians living in France within the framework of evaluations of specialists interviewed with.
