Purpose: Changes in lifestyles and consumption have been systematically debated as paths to a more sustainable society. Hence, the sharing of garments is one of the slow fashion strategies to encourage lifestyle changes. Thus, the study aims to investigate how do practitioners and providers perceive the practice of sharing garments in Fortaleza (Brazil). Design/methodology/approach: The research is qualitative and exploratory with data collected through individual and group interviews conducted with practitioners and providers. The content analysis carried out shows some similarities concerning sharing consumption. Research, Practical & Social implications: The study contributes to theory by showing new nuances on how to research about sharing consumption and to practice by providing management insights on which actions are necessary to the practice of clothing consumption... In the search for sustainability and urban reconfiguration, this research analyzes a business model used in sustainable urban mobility initiatives that integrates public and private agents (socio-technical actors - ST-actors) in Fortaleza (Brazil). An integrated case study was carried out with two initiatives: VAMO Fortaleza (e-carsharing) and Bicicletar (bike sharing). Interviews were conducted with the protagonist ST-actors, and documents were analyzed focusing on shared urban mobility. We observed that the initiative implementation integrates ST-actors through public-private partnerships. Based on that, a schematic model was designed to illustrate ST-actor integration as a business model that can be replicated in other contexts using sharing economy principles. In the context of the urban mobility reconfiguration focused on sustainability, we explore a case which has been internationally recognised and we present an underexplored theme about sharing economy initiatives that can be practised. With the transformation of the market into a provider of relevant symbolic resources, individuals like to demonstrate consumer goods that reflect their values and shared lifestyles. Thus, the aim of this study is to define identity profiles of craft beer enthusiasts based on their consumption practices. Using exploratory qualitative research, 55 consumers were interviewed and observations were made in the city of Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil. The results present five consumer identity profiles in the culture of the craft beer consumer: Beginner, Adventurer, Beer Evangelist, Expert, and Beer Snob. The research enriches the studies inherent in consumer culture by presenting identity profiles based on consumption habits, and what is more, the research also makes a contribution by presenting the segmentation methodology in which the suggested identities can serve as a mechanism for industry organizations in the search for relationship strategies with the target audience. • We model the e-carsharing influence on urban transportation systems. • We test e-carsharing long-term scenarios and their effects. • E-carsharing creates positive externalities for electric vehicles (EV). • E-carsharing creates negative externalities on the conventional automotive chain. • E-carsharing contribute to reduce CO2 emissions. Moving toward sustainable mobility, the sharing economy business model emerges as a prominent practice that can contribute to the transition to sustainability. Using a system dynamics modeling approach, this paper investigates the impacts of an e-carsharing scheme in carbon emissions and in electric vehicle adoption. We study the VAMO scheme located in Fortaleza, Brazil, as the first e-carsharing scheme in the country. We study two policies combined: a VAMO planned growth policy and a retirement policy for conventional vehicles. Our results show that the VAMO incentive policy is an important factor to reduce emissions and to increase awareness of electric vehicles, highlighting the role of the government as an institutional entrepreneur, stimulating and sustaining the VAMO scheme. The retirement policy in combination with the VAMO incentive policy obtained the best results in our simulations, reducing 29% of CO 2 emissions and increasing 36% electric vehicle adoption, when compared to the business-as-usual scenario. The main conclusions are that such e-carsharing schemes offer direct and indirect benefits to urban mobility (specially to electric vehicle adoption) and that they depend on how the government supports them.
