The article focuses on the systematic road surveys conducted by biologist Michael Dorcas and his team in the Everglades National Park in Florida to test the correlation of Burmese pythons (Python molurus bivittatus) in the decline of mammals in the area. It says that the numbers of mammals like raccoons, Virginia opossums, and bobcats have reduced after the snakes are spotted in the area. Meanwhile, Dorcas and his team have implanted a radiotransmitter to the snake to monitor their behavior.
