Abstract

The article focuses on European and German health promotion strategies. It cites that differences in income and the proportion of poor people in Germany have increased more rapidly as compared to other countries in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The objectives of the German national government's strategy for promoting child health, the Strategie zur Förderung der Kindergesundheit, are also discussed.
