The article focuses on the effectiveness and pitfalls of systems and delivery of pre-hospital trauma care in the U.S., Great Britain and Europe. It says that dispatch of British mobile medical teams is delayed because members tend to have other clinical responsibilities. It is noted that medical emergency services in Europe are led by physicians and involve paramedics, nurses and anaesthetists. A medical journal claims that the U.S. relies on informed consent before treatments are conducted while evidence-based practice is less in minor disorders.
