It is reported that the firm acquired an equity share in Advanced Composite Engineering GmbH, an advanced composite provider. The CFRP business sales for automotive market are speculated to reach ¥50 billion by about 2015. It is inferred that Toray will use closed molding methods to process carbon composites more efficiently.
