The article presents the study about the artemisinin-resistant strain of Plasmodium falciparum in Africa as treatment of malaria in a case of a 48-year-old man. Topics discussed include the unknown date and therapeutic regimen of the patient which were associated with each episode, the findings of the microscopy which revealed P. falciparum parasites in the peripheral blood of the patient and the data of artemisinin resistance associated with M5791 mutation in Africa.
