Abstract

The article examines the condition of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in England. The disease is not well recognized by the public and frequently goes undiagnosed in people who have evidence of it. About 18.8% of the respondents had a diagnosis of any lung disease. The association between smoking and COPD was also found.
