The article focuses on the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the British Ornithologists' Union (BOU) in England. The association was founded in the rooms of Alfred Newton of the Magdalene College in Cambridge, England on November 17, 1858. Another founder member was Henry Baker Tristam, a clergyman. The anniversary of the association will be celebrated in two ways. First, the association will paying for all of the back issues to be scanned and digitized. The other one will be the celebration of its anniversary at the BOU annual conference on April 8-10, 2008.
