The article reports on the complete engine restoration of the Class 20 D8098 locomotive at the Great Central Railway Ltd. (GCR) in England. It is cited that the engine was rebuilt after the detection of a high copper level from a routine oil sample. In addition, the restoration includes the replacement of bearings, machining of pistons, and overhaul of its honing liners. It is noted that it has been 16 years that the engine has been run at the GCR and has rendered service for about 11,500 hours.
