Eight Iraqi soldiers and two civilians were killed Thursday in three separate attacks in which insurgents used roadside bombs to target the Iraqi Army. In Diyala Province, which has been one of Iraq's most violent areas in recent years, two roadside bombs exploded simultaneously as an Iraqi Army convoy was on its way to help a local police station that had come under mortar fire, said a security official speaking on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the press.
