The article reflects on the application of the original Cantor-Land model to data from the Czech Republic. Topics discussed include increase in unemployment reduces crime; not demonstrating relationship between unemployment and crime by empirical studies; and need to further examine motivation and opportunity effects by using time series co-integration analysis and error correction model.
