The fastest development of the tourist sector in Cayo Coco; Ciego Avila Province, Cuba; have demanded the construction of different hydrotechnics works and facilities for exploitation. The following work had as main objective, to provide the different Oceanographic elements in order to make easier to take decisions in the future engineering works that will be carried out in Laguna Tiburon. We organized a sampling net, where was anchored many marine equipments to measure the marine currents in a period of 20 days and it was also measured in situ the speed and direction of the marine current in the different moments of the tide. We also determined the renovation period, tide prism and the water volumes exchanged. The final result a numeric model was applied for the tide currents, to the different variants of filling proposals in the Construction Project in the Lagoon, are demonstrating, that from the hydrodynamic point of view the circulation system of the Lagoon is not altered.
