Abstract

The article offers information on the clinical features of heart failure (HF) among patients in the Republic of Croatia. The symptoms, prevalence, mortality and etiology of HF are discussed. The results of studies on the etiology, identification and treatment of HF in hospitals which are included in the Croatian Registry of patients with HF are mentioned.

Abstract

The article presents the minutes of the Croatian Cardiac Society Meeting Regional Branch South Croatia in Split on May 6, 2011. The society elected the president of the regional branch. The attendees included Dinko Mirić, Jugoslav Bagatin and Ante Samodol. Mirić delivered the welcome address. They also welcomed some initiatives of cardiologists in the country.
