In 2015, the Consortium of European Taxonomic Facilities (CETAF), supported by an Erasmus+ grant, launched an online course on biodiversity and the impact of climate change on wildlife. The course, Biotalent was partly designed by staff members of the Hungarian Natural History Museum. The first module of the course conveyed general knowledge about the evolutionary background of biological diversity, while the second, optional module was centred around the diversity of medicinal plants / reptiles and amphibians. The course was participated by almost 500 students from 25 countries and the best performances were awarded with a field course in Crete, led by experts of the programme. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
