The article focuses on the research work of biologist Cristina Eisenberg and colleagues on gray wolves that are finding home in Colorado. They found scats on the area and believed in the presence of adult wolves in the area. They observed separate signs of wolf activity within the seven-month period of their research and they believed that, basing on their observations, the animals were not just passerby in the area. It notes that wild wolves do not live in Colorado but wolf sightings and the death of wolves suggest that the species have come to settle in the region because it offers both habitat and prey. Gray wolves that arrived in Colorado are considered endangered species and they are under the management of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
