The study was conducted at the Amazon Research Center CIMAZ - MACAGUAL of the University of Amazonia, Colombia, with a tropical rain forest climate (Af). The behavior of Bos taurus, Bos indicus, and Caqueteño Creole cattle, the animals were observed in paddocks with three levels of scattered tree cover density. The pasture was composed of Braquiaria decumbens with 35 days of regrowth. Direct observations were made from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with 10-minute intervals between the recording of the activities. The activity performed most often during the day by all of the animals was grazing under the sun, and those who pasture the most are the Caqueteño Creole, followed by the Bos indicus and, finally, the Bos taurus. Ruminating was the second most important activity performed by the cattle, having presented the same tendency. In the paddocks with a low level of tree cover, the animals pasture more in the shade; this trend is more relevant among B. taurus cattle. Caqueteño Creole cattle dedicate less time to water consumption and rest, spending more time grazing, in the high and medium cover levels, they interrupt the grazing at noon for a shorter time compared to B. indicus and B. taurus; after 2 p.m., the creoles vertiginously increase grazing. At the high cover level, the peak of grazing of the Caqueteño Creoles is at 9 a.m. and from 1-1:30 p.m., while at the medium tree cover level, the peak of pasturing was at noon, 1:30 p.m., and 4:30 p.m., at the high tree level of cover, the peak for the three breeds was at 11 a.m. Only at the average tree level of cover did the Caquetaño creoles and B. indicus present a similar peak. Introduction: Social networks provide young people with the opportunity to be in touch with society and their environment, for which they spend a great amount of time to seek acceptance from their peers. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive correlational study was conducted on a sample of 400 students. Two questionnaires were used to collect information. For variable comparison, Spearman's rank correlation coefficient and Chi-squared test were used. Results: 354 (88.5%) of university students have a mobile device with internet connection; 184 (46%) use 3 to 4 social networks and 196 (49%) use them for about 1 to 4 hours a day. 157 (39.2%) claimed that their studies were not affected by using social networks. As for general health, Colombians scored 58.5 and Mexicans 38.3 on a scale of 0 to 100. Discussion: Young people spend most of their time using social networks, being particularly interested in social relationships with their peers. Some studies suggest an association between internet misuse and physical and psychosocial health problems. Conclusions: Social network use behavior and quality of life perception are similar in Colombia and Mexico. In addition, social networks are moderately used as an academic and socialization tool. Introduction: The approach of this research is related to self-care agency showed by nursing students when having their training practice in the health-related area. Purpose: To analyze the relation between self-care agency and nursing knowledge, attitudes and practices involving biological hazard in nursing students from a higher education institution in Bucaramanga. Materials and Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study of correlational-analytical type was conducted with a sample of 187 students from IV to VIII level of a nursing degree in a higher education institution in Bucaramanga, to whom the self-care agency scale was applied. This scale is used to measure nursing knowledge, attitude and practice involving biological hazards. Results: There is a significant relationship between self-care agency and attitudes (p<0.05). On the other hand, regular self-care agency is shown in 79.1% of the students. There is no statistically significant relationship between sociodemographic variables and the self-care agency through the chi-squared test. Discussion: The results found in this study coincide with those found by other researchers who state that self-care agency is kept at a regular level in most of the population. Conclusions: A relationship was demonstrated between self-care agency and attitudes regarding biological hazards in students, which confirms the importance of nursing work to strengthen favorable behavior towards their self-care. The National Response Framework for HIV / AIDS infection in Colombia (In Spanish, Plan Nacional de Respuesta ante la Infección del VIH/Sida) emphasizes the promotion of knowledge, attitudes, behaviors and practices for the development of an autonomous, responsible and pleasurable sexuality. Objective: To identify risk behaviors for transmission of HIV / AIDS in adolescents and young people from private universities in the municipality of Villavicencio. Method: A descriptive study. Multistage probability sampling design. Population: 10,324 students-IP 2014 (n = 357). Error: 1%; confidence level: 95%. The survey Conocimientos was used for gathering information as well as, practices and counseling in voluntary testing for HIV in young people aged 15 to 24, the program that was used to process information was SPSS v. 14. Results: 95% of students have knowledge about HIV / AIDS. The main source of information is television programs (28.6%). 51.6% had their first intercourse before age 16; 32.5% between 17 and 19 years. 31.9% did not use a condom at first intercourse. 86.6% believe that AIDS can be prevented by using condoms. From all respondents, 35.5% have had a sexual partner in the last year, 37.2% between 2 and 4 sexual partners, 13.4% more than 5. 31.1% did not use condoms in their last relationship. Conclusions: The study suggests that the risky sexual practices from the population studied is the early onset of sexual relations, there is also a significant predominance of non-condom use despite of the fact that they identify it as a way of preventing HIV infection. A descriptive study on the impact of an educational module in a school health program was developed to find out how young girls and teenagers respond to emergencies at school. Conducted between 2007 and 2008 in the Suba District of Bogota, the study featured a group of 120 students between the ages of 6 and 18. The participants in the sample were from income brackets zero, one and two. Using a method involving recreation, education and experiences, the know-how imparted to this population was evaluated, and changes in individual and group lifestyles and habits were observed. Ninety-five percent (95%) of the girls endorsed the health information on response to school emergencies, 100% took part in constructing the plan and worked in the practice sessions, all of which creates an awareness of the importance of the school health program with the development of plans of this type.
