The objectives of this study are assessing of internet use among Romanian patients from general practitioners as well as their intention to use or recommend the first computer tailored program for smoking cessation from Romania. The study involved 200 patients from general practitioners from Cluj-Napoca, Romania. A cross-sectional study was performed in 2014 through anonymous questionnaires. More than 80% of the patients declared using internet, while half were searching on internet in the last month information regarding healthy lifestyle. The prevalence of smoking was 29.5%. One out of two smokers declared intention to try the program for smoking cessation, this intention being higher among smokers with a stronger intention to quit smoking in the next 6 months, having email-address and searching healthy lifestyle information on internet in the last month. Two thirds of the participants agreed that they would inform other persons about the smoking cessation program; this intention was higher among women and among those interested in healthy lifestyle information on internet. Information technology could be use for healthy lifestyle promotion among patients from big cities of Romania, where internet access and interest for computer tailored programs for health promotion look promising. Background: Healthy lifestyle promotion represents an important component of cancer prevention. The aim of this study is the assessment of opinions and behavior related to healthy lifestyle and cancer prevention among Romanian university students. Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed by anonymous questionnaires in 2017 among 400 university students from the four main universities from Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Results: One out of five students was overweight or obese, but 83% meet the recommendations for performing physical activity. The majority did not meet the recommendations of eating 400 g of fruits and vegetables daily, while almost half declared eating more than 500 g of red meat weekly and more than one third do not respect the recommendations for alcohol consumption. The factor analysis reveals two factors with regard to cancer prevention-related behaviors. The first one consists of those having an appropriate body weight, and having a higher tendency for consumption of fruits and vegetables, performing physical activity, while being more prone not to respect the recommendations regarding the alcohol consumption. The second factor refers to a higher tendency to respect both the recommendations for alcohol and red meat consumption. Conclusion: Future educational activities should focus on promoting better nutritional habits, decrease alcohol consumption and offer appropriate services for weight management among Romanian university students. The theme of the risk, as a public problem, is rarely debated in Romania. In the world, the research related to the risk perception, especially the environment risk, started 59 years ago, on the grounds of the nuclear danger. The environment-risk perception at children depends on the prior perceptions acting as decoding filters, nonetheless it can be influenced by the targeted environment oriented education, correcting the false perceptions and aiding the children to form a set of perennial values and to digest healthy behaviours. The work presents the results of the study made on 446 pupils in the primary classes, in three schools from Cluj-Napoca, Romania, with the purpose to encourage environmental friendly behaviours by combining previous strategies (modifying the attitudes and the values towards the environment) with the consecutive strategies (of recompense for the pro-environment behaviours). The study demonstrates the role and the importance both of the school, and the parents' level of instruction, in building and consolidating the environment consciousness at children.
